I first contacted another contractor who did not do small jobs and referred me to Francois at Red Hot. Francois called me with a few hours and was able to meet me the same evening at my home for an estimate. I was able to pick my glass and schedule remodel of my fireplace during the same evening. Francois was the ultimate professional, arrived with all glass samples and his laptop. I have recommended Red Hot to all of my friends who want to replace old gas logs with impressive glass. The day of the service the rep arrived on time and completely refinished both of my fireplaces in less than three hours. I was extremely impressed and highly recommend Red Hot.

Money spent is estimated - the work was done for my mother's house. She's a tough cookie when it comes to judging hired help and she was very pleased with their communication skills and up-front estimates. They were prompt however the one thing that caught her off guard was trucks showing up unannounced to continue different aspects of the job. They definitely got the job done and done well, they just didn't keep us posted on arrival times/dates of people completing stages of the work. Overall we were very happy

I talked to at least 6+ people/companies for my fireplace rebuild and extremely pleased with Red Hot...especially Francois. Francois is the MAN! When remodeling, there are a billion options and it gets overwhelming quickly. Most other contractors would just present options and leave you to your thoughts. Not Francois! He honed in on our style, presented us with options, AND gave us his opinion of what he thought we'd like. He even went so far as to anticipate that we might change our minds and preparing accordingly. He's also very flexible and willing to work with his clients. RedHot might be a bit more expensive than other company's, but you definitely get taken care of and get high quality work. They're a one-stop shop and they definitely know what their doing! After one meeting with Francois, I commented to my wife, "I wish all contractors were like that!" (For perspective, I've talked to/interviewed at least three dozen contractors, if not more, in the past year.)

We were quite happy with the guy. He was honest. He knew the chimney must be closed. I just wanted to make sure there was nothing else going on with the chimney.

We did the work in December. They were kind of a specific company but they were doing contracting work too. They definitely know their business. They were very specific on what they were going to do and how they would do it. They were very professional and punctual. I didn’t have any problems with them but I ended up using another company since it was strictly a matter of cost. I got everything by e-mail including the estimate. I asked for some other options and they e-mailed it to me. Everything went through well and cost ended up being the only issue. Their responsiveness was very good. I would consider using their services in the future too.

Arrived on time. Work was done efficently. Fireplace is absolutely beautiful.

Excellent prompt and professional service. After experience with two other fireplace shops last year it was a pleasure to do business with Frank Steward, the owner, and Jason and Eric the installers. I had done considerable research as a result of my previous shopping attempts with uninformative sellers and had a good idea as to what I wanted. I found Frank's information and advice on choosing a unit straightforward and most helpful. He answered emails and phone calls on questions I had before and after the sale. Chimney sweeping was included in the installation cost (not so with the others I had dealt with). The installers arrived on time and efficiently had the two story chimney swept and the unit installed with chimney vent tubes, gas and electrical connections in a few hours with little dust. These units are a major investment so I am most pleased that it is operating just as Frank described and making a marked improvement in comfort and convenience in our home.

Frank, the boss and his excellent helper, Eli, spent an entire morning working on my chimneys. It was a messy job but they covered any exposed flooring and hearth areas and then vacuumed everything when they finished. It's Frank's company (they also build and remodel fireplaces) and he's been here since at least 1988, which is the first time we used his services. He's excellent and we couldn't ask for better service or a nicer guy.

He arrived here after phoning to say he was on the way. He brought into the house a vacuum vac and other tools and proceeded to scrub the chimney, vacuum the fireplace, spray the walls and applied WD40 to the draw chain to smooth its operation.

I found Red Hot Hearth and Home on Angie's List and called them as my last attempt to fix the problem. Jason was on time, professional, and had a good attitude. He said I needed a cap on top since the rain was rusting the metal parts inside. He said the breech in the fire wall was a simple repair. He came back 2 days later, fixed everything as he'd discussed. My total bill was only $220. All these years I've been without my fireplace. I have confidence the work was done right. Red Hot is the best.

I thought the job went well. They came out within a few days of me calling them. They were able to be done and cleaned up in a short period of time. It did not cause any mess. I felt it was a good thorough job. I forgot what the charges came to but it was nothing out of the ordinary for this type of job.

Asked for someone to inspect my chimney and clean it. The guy showed up on time and told me it didn't need cleaning. He told me it was already clean and in perfect working order. It's a new house for me so I feel comfortable in using the fireplace knowing that it's fine. They could have cleaned it anyway and charged me for it, but instead they were honest and charged me for an inspection only. Great job!

Frank had a professional and knowledgeable staff. If you need to have a new fireplace installed, this would be the company to contact first. They are general contractors who specialize in installing and repairing fireplaces and barbecues. I wish I knew about them before. I had hired a general contractor for a masterbath addition who also claimed he knew how to install fireplaces. Unfortunately, he didn't do it correctly nor to code. Red hot's employees are quick, clean and professional. I am considering using them for a future backyard barbecue and fire pit installation.

The organization did a great job. They were prompt and amazingly clean. I was afraid there would be soot in my living room after they were done (I have off-white rugs) and they not only cleaned the chimney but also did an inspection for needed repairs.

I LIKE EVERYTHING THEY DO. I HAVE USED THEM QUITE A FEW TIMES. THEY ARE ALWAYS HERE WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL BE. THEY DO A GOOD JOB. THE QUOTED PRICE IS ALWAYS WHAT THEY CHARGE.

THE LADY WORKING HERE WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL IN ASSISTING ME WITH WHAT WOULD WORK BEST FOR MY HOME. WE HAVE BEEN REALLY HAPPY WITH THE CHOICE WE MADE AND WITH THE QUALITY OF THE UNIT WE PURCHASED.
