He had two workers with him. They were very polite and efficient. They did the first job quickly. Steve and my husband talked for quite a while about what kind of light fixture to put in whether fluorescents. He was very patient and took time to discuss it. They did the job. They cleaned up, cast, and painted. They did a really nice installation. We had one thing where he did not have the right bulb for the fixture. He had to come back and put them in. He was really busy and we had to call him back. We thought that the price was not extravagant at all; it was pretty fair. They came right on time.

Worker was extremely professional worked fast and was on time in and out within an hour and a half. Would definitely use this company in the future. Have also recommended him to some people that might be doing work in the future.

I was very pleased with Steve and his crew - especially Shawn. They were prompt, professional and provided good input as they went along about how we could best change around some of the electrical things in the house to suit my family's needs better. They never objected when I brought up a new small project or two on most of their visits, but just graciously fit them in to their work at my home. They were upfront with their costs, although it is impossible to predict the final amount because the labor is an unknown. The final bill was very detailed and clearly called out the parts and the labor. Steve did a great job of setting up and overseeing the projects and I would definitely call on him for any future work.

This is a good , detail oriented contractor who wont lift a finger till you are happy with your estimate. The crews are responsible and do great work. The job was finished on time and as promised. Already booked another job with this company. They are a keeper!

This company was responsive and did good work. The only thing I would say is that their pricing was only fair as I could have found others willing to work for less than $85 per hour. With the deal I purchased, it only came out to a 10% savings. Other than that, I would highly recommend them!

There was a little confusion over the price because they sent 2 workers instead of one which wasn't stated in the coupon. The owner was worried about the confusion and didn't want me to be dissatisfied which I thought was impressive. I told him that I am very satisfied with the quality and neatness of the work. UPDATE: I received an email and advised that I owed an additional $267.95 for the 2 1/2 hours of electrical work because they sent 2 people not one. I didn't agree due to the coupon stating only $99 for 2 hours of electrical work with no exceptions. I realized that my point wasn't being received well so the additional monies were paid and I was sad that my first experience ended this way.

After speaking with him we decided the Deal wasn’t going to work out for us. Our job required two people and so we would have received only 1 hour service. He also took a while to return voicemails and we had to make multiple calls to schedule.

suggested placing one light near sink and one near the stove to add the much needed additional lighting. The job went great. His electrician was punctual, completed the job on time and cleaned up. His work was very good and professional. The bottom line is that Steve's recommendations have worked great. My wife is very happy with the results

They were easy to work with and very honest. The price was honest and they charged what they quoted exactly. I would definitely recommend them. The detailed written quote (REALLY detailed!) guaranteed no surprises, and there were no unforseen costs. It wasn't bargain-basement cheap, but it was realistic, and the guys were friendly and easy to have around. I'm a happy camper and will do business with them again.

I emailed Steve with a brief explanation of my electrical needs. He responded and in a few days came over to take a look. He was very detailed in his inspection. He gave me an estimate and offered to contact Edison and the city for the most current requirements. We agreed to the work and his crew began the job the next week. The job proved very difficult due to the need to move our accumulation of "stuff" collected over the last 50 years. There were a couple of conversations needed between Steve and myself to clarify the work to be done but in the end all was good. Steve and his crew were determined to meet my expectations. They were successful in accomplishing that goal. If I need additional electrical work in the future and I will contact Steve again.

It was awesome! I've never hired an electrical service before and didn't know what to expect. Steve's guys showed up on time and were really professional and nice. They installed my new fixtures, took away the old ones and totally cleaned up when they were finished. I will definately use Steve's company again.

Steve was punctual and professional. Made suggestions beyond the coupon. More expensive, but they turned out to be great suggestions. Only shortfall is that the drywall patching that was necessary for the lighting work doesn't exactly match the rest of the wall around it in terms of texture (you can tell work was done there), despite repainting the entire wall. Overall liked working with Steve conceptually. Would work with him again on big lighting projects.

I hope this review can help someone considering using this contractor. I purchased the Big Deal for 4 recessed lights and a dimmer switch for $394, it seemed like a great deal. I wanted the recessed installed in two rooms. I also wanted to add an additional outlet and switch in my bathroom. He upsold me on adding a dimmer switch in my kitchen. I agreed to it because it was only $50 more. Steve came out and gave me an estimate. He stated that the estimate was a worst case scenario and it might be $50 more if I chose to use halogen light bulbs. His estimate was for Estimate 1195 Minus Big Deal 349 Sub Total 846 Addition for halogen bulbs 50 Expected Total 896 When I got his invoice it was for $1035 instead. When I asked him about the difference, his response was "As you recall, we discussed that there would be a charge on the invoice listing out the miscellaneous materials. I also wrote it at the top of the proposal, pointing to the paragraph at the bottom of the page. I believe if you place the proposal and the invoice side by side, you'll see that the prices are the same all the way down the left hand side of the invoice. The additional charges are for the "trip charge" and the miscellaneous materials, i.e., wire, boxes, cover plates, fittings, etc., which are listed on the right hand side of the invoice. Let me know if you still have questions, but I hope this helps. I know it gets confusing, so if you'd like to call me, please feel free to do so anytime." I must say his crew did a good job, but will not be hiring him, nor could I recommend him to anyone. I like to know up front how much I'm paying for something, I know from time to time that could change, but when someone's response is always "it was paragraph at the bottom of the page". When Steve came out for the estimate, he mentioned that he was losing money on the Big Deals, I should have known something was hinky.

Steve was very responsive. punctual, reliable, he is very reasonably priced, he is efficient, has good ideas, performed the work exactly as described, was clean, and very professional; we were extremely pleased and look forward to working with Steve again in the future. I got estimates from several other contractors for this small job. The highest was over $500. And it would take a couple weeks to schedule it. One guy did not even want to come out, he just gave me an estimate over the phone. Steve's estimate turned out to be the lowest. Steve was here for his estimate when he said he would, and he squeezed us in within just a couple of days. He was on time for the work, had all the tools and was ready to rock. I am very happy with his service and would not hesitate to use him again. Highly recommended.

We had no power in one section of the house. We called Steve and someone came out the next day. They found the problem and fixed it very quickly.

I was happy with what they did. They were excellent. They spoke English very well. They were on time. If we had a little bit of a problem, they would be out to fix it, no questions asked.

Because I had a water leak and some of my ceiling in an adjacent bathroom had been removed. I decided it would be a good time to have a ceiling fan installed in my family room before the ceiling in the bathroom was replaced. Steve provided me a "worst case" estimate of $383 since fan installations often have hidden problems and sometimes require making holes to fish wires to the access point for the fan. These additional holes would need to be patched so the estimate included this extra work.. As it turned out, no additional holes were required and the installation went smoothly. Accordingly, Steve reduced my final price and also gave me the 10% senior discount. mentioned on Angie's List. I am very pleased with Steve's work and pofessionalism.

The company responded well to my initial inquiry, and was somewhat courteous on the phone and able to schedule an immediate in-home estimate. However, the individual I spoke with was also highly defensive at times professing he had 30 years of experience. When the individual came for the estimate, he seemed a little dejected, and asked questions that did not seem relevant and were tangential to the immediate work that needed to be done. His demeanor indicated he was not interested in the job, but more interested in wasting my time. I would not recommend this individual for professionalism, and was frankly surprised he came so recommended. An estimate was not provided, since I asked him to leave after he ranted that he did not think that 'we hit it off on the phone' and I did not have answers to his strange questions. He obviously was not hired for the job.

Steve arrived ontime to give me a free estimate of the work involved. He also checked out our electrical box and pointed out several other items in the house we should consider including additional GFI sockets and additional smoke alarms. His team arrived when they said they would and completed the work in a timely fashion. They left the site clean with no evidence of patch work needed to snake the wiring to the new outlet. We were very happy with the job done.

Steve Cavenee Electric were really good. They are very thorough. Make sure you get everything in writing up front. In other words, don't make a last minute decision where you have to add something. The work was good. I would recommend their work to anybody. They arrive on time. They come prepared. They are really nice and accommodating. The pricing was fair. Steve Cavenee was very knowledgeable. I was confident that they would do the work very well.

I think the price he quoted us was quite a bit for the job. He was really nice and pleasant but the price was high.

I had a good experience with Cavenee Electric. I had tenants coming in so Cavenee Electric gave me very good advice about the electrical work. I have not yet started the electrical work as the tenants are not finalized yet.

They have done good work every time we used them.
