The service was excellent. When we place the call for them to come onsite to perform the work. We were made aware of any additional costs that may occur. For example, we were told that if the existing box that the existing fans were housed in were plastic, they may need to be replaced which may amount to more time. The existing boxes were metal and there the projects was performed within the estimated time. The electrican was prompt, affable and courteous to both my husband and I.

Setting up the appointment was problematic, as we played telephone tag for a couple weeks. Did not hit it off over the phone with owner Steve to be honest. Sometimes it just happens that way. Once his crew did come out everything went smoothly and the install looks real nice. They were done in about 45 minutes. However, I probably would not choose them again.

I got an estimate from Steven who told me that the total price at the end shouldn't exceed the deal price. The deal was for 2 hours for electrical work. Two people showed up for the work, and I ended up paying much more than the deal price. I felt that the work could have been doen in a shorter time with 1 person. They're very expensive beyond the deal.

IT WAS A BIGGER JOB THEN THOUGHT BUT ALL WENT WELL. HIS GUYS ARE GREAT...

Two men showed up on time to install an entry way light fixture over some stairs. They were prepared along with a special ladder to do the job. They were careful to not soil the carpet and quickly went to work. Job was completed in approximately 50 minutes. Pleasant, efficient and personable workers.

.Steve Cavenee Electric was good. I wanted them to have a bigger job which turned out to be not so big a job, so he did some more work for me.

Mild challange to schedule....then perfect from that point forward. Excellent quality work. They cleaned up after themselves.

I called the listed number and received a call back with in a day or so. Was given an estimate on the work and that is as far as it went. Was told that they would have someone out to do the job and never showed up. Have not received a call back or explanation why they didn't show. I believe the job was to small for them to be bother with. Would not recommend them for any future work. This was the first time I used Angie's list and not to impressed on the results. The above was my first response but after talking with Steve, I believe that we just had a misunderstanding on both sides. Steve reschedule an appointment and the electricians showed up in the time frame they were to be here. They went right to work and didn't waste any time in completing this job. They cleaned up the area in which they worked and left it like they were never there. Tom told me prior to leaving that if there is a problem please call and they will have someone come and look at it. This says allot for a company to stand behind their work. I would use them again for other projects which may come up in the future and would recommend him to friends and neighbors.

Everything went as stated in the estimate. They tied the new electrical boxes into existing light switches inside the house, so they had to get in the attic and also go through the walls in a couple of places. They worked very neatly--no mess left behind. They also patched the holes in the plaster. We had so much trouble getting anybody to do this job that we were actually surprised when they showed up on the date and time agreed upon. We are very pleased with the results and now we're thinking about having them install an attic fan. Excellent company to work with.

Okay, from the beginning... I called Steve to request a bid for adding a dedicated 20 amp circuit from the service panel to a 2nd story room. He dropped by the next day and provided a quote, saying he believed the work would be covered by the coupon. We then schedule an appointment. Steve's electrician appeared on time. We reviewed the work to be done, and he went straight to work. Two hours later the work was compete. The circuit addition went without a hitch and was covered by the $99 Angies List coupon. This experience is in contrast to a previous bid from a local electrician for the same work quoted at $850. Yes, I will most definitely call Steve for future electrical work. He is honest, provides a fabulous service at a reasonable price, and even shows up on time (respecting my time).

No issues -- I called for a time --- we settled on a time for him to come -- he arrived during the scheduled time and completed the work -- No problems --easy to work with.

He didnt follow up with us. We haven't heard back from him in over a month.

It took a couple of appointments. The first was cancelled due to the rain. A couple other appointment were rescheduled. The work was done, was clean, and ready to go. Nice job.

This is a very good company. They are honest and fair in their work. They had done other work for us in the past which we were very pleased with. I highly recommend them for any electrical work.

I bought the 2 hours of electrical work for $99 deal. I got two guys at the same time for an hour. I liked that even better! The guys were on time, efficient, and did quality work. I had them hang a new chandelier (which they assembled too) and install an illuminated switch in the my dark garage. They also figured out why two of my 3-way switches were not working properly and changed out 4 outlets and a switch in our home office. One guy, Sean, gave me some helpful advise on how to solve a problems with my recessed lighting in my kitchen and recommended what steps to take next in my renovation plans. I was thrilled to have several projects taken care of in a single hour and I was able to get on with the rest of MY busy day. Steve was really easy to work with for scheduling and they guys left everything clean and tidy. I plan to use Steve's services again. Great experience.

He came out to take a look at my circuit breaker. He said more work was needed and it was best for me to hold off at this point and time. I found that to be very helpful and honest. He was very responsive and he came out free of charge to look at it.

My wife met with Steve. He was very pleasant. They set up a date for the work to be done. On that date two of his workers came. They were clean, pleasant, and professional. They completed the work quickly and went over the operation of the thermostat with me. Everything is working properly. I would use them again if I needed electrical work.

I purchased this via one of the List Deals - $99 for an exterior electric box. Steve called me almost immediately and we tried to set up a mutually workable time for both of us, but apparently either he didn't understand I wasn't available on the afternoon he was in Costa Mesa, or I didn't communicate that clearly enough, but that day they called when I wasn't available and probably wasted some time for one of their guys by sending him out anyway. We were able to reschedule for the following week and as promised they called ahead and I was able to meet them at the house and show them what I wanted. Steve had said I didn't need to stick around, but because of the location of the box I did need to stay for the work as Tom needed to get into the house to figure out where to place the box and access the wiring. That only took about 45 minutes though, and the finished job is great. Tom cleaned up after himself and was careful not to let my cat outside too.

The first electrician was a younger gentleman, a little rough around the edges, but courteous. He couldn't quite figure out measurements for mounting of power box, but did figure it out with my husband's help over the phone. Then a second electrician arrived about an hour later and it became evident that the first man was really waiting for the second guy to take the lead. They got everything done in a few hours and patched up the wall beautifully. Everything is functional and works fine.

We were in a hurry to get some minor things done to our house before selling it. The Big Deal coupons should have resulted in approximately $100 spent to get $200 worth of electrical work. We set up an appointment for Steve to come out for the estimate. He called the day of the meeting to change the time of the appointment when his previous appointment ran late. when he arrived, we showed him the parts (smoke alarm and the bathroom exhaust fan/light unit) that were to be installed and he said these jobs wouldn't take very long, so was there anything else he could do to make up the full value of the "Big Deal". We mutually decided to also have the bathroom exhaust fan/light switches replaced and that would wrap up the deal. We then scheduled a day for the work to be done. 10/3 - His crew was on time, but said that a part for the exhaust fan was missing, so they couldn't do that work. They suggested buying another identical exhaust fan from the local Home depot, taking the parts we needed from it, then RETURN the purchase and claim the parts were MISSING! We turned down that suggestion and said we would order the missing parts. They did install the smoke alarm. 10/11 - Once we got the part, they came back and finished the job. However, they charged us for having to make a second visit (above and beyond the labor for the job). In the end, the cost of the extra visit equaled the "savings" of the Big Deal coupon. the invoice for the extra charges arrived on 11/30, about 6 weeks after the job was completed. Eventually the house was sold, but we had to install more smoke alarms to meet the current code. Problems: 1. During the estimate visit, why didn't Steve tell us there were missing parts? This lack of information resulted in increased cost and schedule due to the return visit and it's charges. 2. During the estimate visit, why didn't Steve let us know that one smoke alarm would not satisfy the current code? That lack of information resulted in us installing several more smoke alarms to get the escrow closed (and we did that ourselves rather than re-hire Steve's team). 3. His crew (not Steve) suggested buying a kit, removing the parts we needed and then return the kit because of the "missing" parts. That raised serious ethics alarm bells with us and would keep us from using this company in the future.
