I used the Angie's List Deal to get all the outlets replaced in my house. The work itself was fine, but the scheduling was a real pain. Their hours aren't exactly friendly, and when we finally settled on a time, they showed up almost two hours late anyway. I complained to the owner, but that got me nowhere and all I got was excuses.

Steve and his crew did a fantastic job as usual. This my 3rd time using them and it works out better than expected.

Shaun Herman was very professional in service and competent in execution. No attempt to sell more service than is necessary. My best experience with Angie's List so far.

The guys did a great job. Quick and Painless. They also did a good job patching the hole they needed to make. Will use them again in the future.

Steve and I managed a time-frame that worked both for his and my schedule- I travel for work so a little more difficult to pin down dates. His two guys showed up a little late but called to let me know traffic was bad - not a big deal communication is paramount and it was only 20 min. When the guys started they didn't stop until the job was complected, the work is extremely well thought out and performed flawlessly. The guys are obviously highly qualified in the electrical arena, well spoken and explain procedures to a complete understanding of whats going to take place. I would highly recommend Steve Cavenee Electric for any and all electrical needs.

The overall effect is amazing of the lighting system they designed is amazing. We are very happy with the results. They even sent a drywall specialist to follow up with some touchup.

our home/office in Orange had three old sub panels. when one of them was having a problem, we called Stave. he came out and provide an estimate around $800 to replace all of them with a new sub panel. we were told about three hours of work. I had scheduled all our employees to take the morning off for the work to accommodate this project. On the day of the job, the job took about 7 hours. So the entire business day was lost for us. So lost business revenue due to this unexpected was upsetting. They found complexity with the job, but was informed that it will only cost 'BIT' more and the job can't complete without this upgrade. I felt i had no choice. it was like bait and switch... at the end of the day, when they left, i ended up with a gaping hole on the wall and none of the panel switch was labeled. before the project, all three sub panels were marked. but it was lost now. it was going to cost me yet more cost for them to come back and finish the job. as i had limited budget, i ended up doing it myself. The final bill was $500 more than initially quoted. Had i known the project would cost this long and this expensive, i would have chosen a different vendor on different day. Not only did i ended up with bill that was way more than planned and i had to finish the project on my own. I totally feel cheated. I would not recommend this vendor to anyone. I would not use him again. I would also contact the CA Contractors License Board to see if this is appropriate.

Steve decided he did not want to keep our Friday appointment because he had no other work in the area. He asked to do it today, Thursday. I told him I cold not be there, but we agreed that if I passed him through at the security gate. He can check the line without me. So I cleared him with security. The man he sent did not know why he was sent. He called my cell saying he had a few questions. By the time he answered my repeated calls, he had change out my 240 line for a 120 volt line. Replaced the fixture. When I told him he wasto check on the 240 volt line. He told me to call his boss. I have no intention of dealing with a company that refuses to honor my request or correct their errors. I am not sure I care to deal with you either. Ialready feel burned by the mover I got from your list. I do not want to deal with people who are unprofessional, yet expect me to pay them anyway. Steveand you get Fs!!!!!!

After buying the Angies list deal for two hours of service, I didn't hear anything for the next three days, those were the days I wanted my work done. I reached out and a couple days later I heard from Steve in a message saying there were problems with Angies List updates. I had problems too so I understood. I messaged back with my address, after not hearing anything for another week I called today and he said he doesn't service my area. It took way too long to find this out and I would of not used my coupon anyway. Lack of communication are the biggest complaints whether it is on Angies list, HomeAdvisor, BBB, etc. These are not the companies I want to work with.

They did not finish the job the first time around and had to come back. They charged another travel fee to come back to finish the job. Quality of the work was fine but I had to called them several times to schedule the first and second visit.

This was a $111 big deal purchase for two hours of electrical labor. They did a great job. They still have not sent me the bill yet. It wound up taking a bit longer so it cost a bit more. They had to take two people. I believe they said the whole thing was, like, $390 after the Angie's List deal. It was a little more expensive than I anticipated, but they did a really good job. It was more than he estimated. He estimated it would be less so I expected it would be less. He is great about answering the phone.

This is a 50 year old single-story residence. It has two outdoor lighting and outlet fixtures near the front walkway that had become very corroded. The corrosion was worse in the underground metal conduit that encased the wiring leading to the fixtures. The electrician first took the time to listen to me explain the problem and show him the damaged outdoor fixtures and related conduit. he then dug up the ends of the corroded conduit and determined that it was irreparable. I agreed with him that replacement was the only reasonable course of action. Since I wanted to reconfigure any replacement that would be done, and my planning wasn't ready, we agreed that the best course of action would be to disconnect the affected circuits at their indoor feed-points and remove the fixtures, wiring, and conduit at the outdoor end. The electrician located the feed-points in the house (no small feat!), disconnected the circuits in question, and removed the fixtures and all exposed, and some not-so-exposed, conduit and wiring. He filled in where he had dug, cleaned everything up, and left. The job was very well done, and completed in a reasonable length of time. In the days leading up to this job, Steve Cavenee had to reschedule a couple of times. In each instance, he called me well in advance, explained the situation, and set a new date and time. He treated me very professionally, and I never felt that I had been jerked around. High marks for Steve! Payment for this job was through an Angie's List coupon that I bought just for this purpose. The time the electrician spent at my house was slightly in excess of the time paid for with the coupon, but I wasn't billed for the excess. More high marks for Steve!

I am a General Contractor and Steve has helped me with several larger projects - from new electrical panels installations to rewiring the entire house. He is very knowledgeable and competent. Easy to work with and easy to reach!

Although it took a while to get an appointment, the technician Ryan did a excellent job and was worth the wait. Reasonably priced. Based on this job performance I recommend Steve Cavenee Electric.

Steve came by and gave us a quote. After shopping around we gave him the job. Crew showed up when expected and told us before hand that they would probably have come back the next day to finish the job - no problem. They worked until quitting time and said they would be back the next day. 2 days passed and no one came back. I called Steve again and he told me that one of the workers had a family issue. This is understandable, life happens. It would have been nice if someone would have called to let us know as we have things to do as well. It took several more days for them to comeback to finish the work. So a job that was supposed to take one to one and a half days days took a week to complete. I will say that the work done was great. When I received the final bill it was 20% more than the estimate. I understand that it was an estimate but I think 20% is outside the acceptable range. Even when I reminded home about the delay he was not willing to make any consideration in the final price. Quality of work is good but but communication, customer support and accuracy of estimates leaves something to be desired.

This was a Big Deal coupon for $111.00/2 hrs. of electrical labor, which was purchased on 4/14/2015. Steve was very busy so the fan was not installed until May 1, 2015. The Tech was professional and did an excellent job. However, he was not able to complete the installation because of a defective remote. I returned the defective part but did not call Steve to set an appointment for the tech to return and complete the job because I feared another long wait. It was hot and a friend was able to install the part right away. The B for responsiveness was given ONLY because it took a month to get the service. The quality of the work was excellent.

Steve's guys worked fast to find the source of the problem and found out within 20-30 minutes. Then they fixed the problem and with time leftover (I had paid for 2 hours), they helped me with lightbulbs in the bonus room where I have cathedral ceilings.
