Scheduled to arrive at 8:00am, pulled up at about 7:40 and came to the door early since he saw me painting around the front window. I showed him the areas that needed patching and he got started. The work was done in 3-4 hours, he did a great job matching the texture. Even better than the last company we had out. A small part of the patching was on the ceiling and I appreciated that he was able to minimize the extent of the mud around the area. We would use them again for future work.

The ceiling didn't dry as quickly as we'd hoped so the work was finished on Thanksgiving morning. We were very happy with the work and the professionalism of the company.

Provider performed good work. Looks a lot better than before. He can do a better job with making sure he doesn't scuff hardwood floors, etc while performing work.

Roy is everything a contractor should be. Knowledgeable, personable, fairly priced, hits his estimate, has a great attitude, punctual, communicative, finishes on time, willing to work with the homeowner, etc. And he works incredibly hard! I've dealt with a lot of contractors in my professional career and can honestly say that Roy is one of the best, if not the best.

My experience with Southern Counties Drywall was excellent. They arrived on time and was completed in the time allowed. Price was fair and the worker was professional. The finished work was extremely impressive. I was so impressed with the work that I decided not to paint it over. No clean up necessary right after completion. It was excellent experience. I would definitely call them back for future projects. Lastly, Roy was friendly and nice to talk to. He was very prompt and accurate. Estimate was easy as well, I just need to send him pictures, and he was able to give me quotes via phone calls. Roy always answer his phone. Roy is very nice guy and easy to talk to.

Very impressed: (1) I needed the ceiling done right away to finish up ceiling lighting for a city inspection within days and Roy made time in his schedule to do an estimate within hours of my call. Moreover, he was punctual, unlike most contractors I've dealt with. Not only that, he understood my urgency and took care of the job the next day. (2) Roy was very personable and explained in detail everything that would need to be done. He is one of the few contractors who is honest and transparent with his pricing. His pricing is also very competitive for a licensed and bonded contractor. (3) Roy's work is of a high quality and he does not cut corners. I was especially impressed that for the hole in the ceiling, Roy re-framed it and got a special professional-looking steel access door rather than using the cheap plastic access panel I had originally bought. Roy clearly cares about a quality job and fit and finish of all materials. In a nutshell: Professional, top-notch work at a reasonable price by a friendly and honest, licensed and bonded drywall specialist.

Roy McDaniel (owner) of Southern Counties Drywall sent his technician to give us an estimate for repairing ceiling cracks at our townhouse in San Clemente, Ca. The estimate was given on a Monday and work was completed by Thursday of the same week. From floor to ceiling it is 20 feet...so not an easy task. The work and the price were excellent as well as the customer service given by Roy McDaniel. We live full time in Arizona and usually have a difficult time working with service providers in California when we cannot be present. Roy handled the situation with extreme professionalism and has a great phone presence with customers. He is very responsive too. We would not hesitate to use Southern Counties Drywall in the future...very good company!

Roy came out an gave us an estimate that seemed par on, and so I hired him to do the work. The two rooms were done in one day with Roy and his guy doing them. They prepped the rooms nicely and when they were done they cleaned up everything. You would of never known they were there. The garage was another story. After removing some old shelving the drywall was in worse condition then Roy and I first thought. Roy said that he quoted me what he quoted and would do the work for that price. Roy spent 2 full days working on the garage when he originally thought it could be done in one day. It was not that he underestimated his time, once we cleared the garage out there was a lot more to do then first thought. Roy finished the whole garage and made my 1965 garage look look like it was brand new. I would highly recommend using him for any dry wall matter.

One mak crew was punctual, friendly, never stopped through the end of the day. Informed me of all the work to done and performed it precisely as described. The Patches are paint ready and matcg perfectly. Very very happy with the work.

Roy of Southern Counties Drywall is a true professional. He is easy to reach by phone and scheduled the work promptly. Accessibility and promptness is key to a company's success and Roy nailed it. The ceiling repair was done in a few hours and looks like new. I'm very happy with the outcome and would use Southern California Drywall again without hesitation.

Roy was able to review our repair needs and provide a very competitive quote on the same Saturday I called him. The work was done in accordance with the quote and was performed very well by Richard. Richard was very neat and punctual. I really appreciated the work he performed. Unfortunately, Roy did not want to include our painting needs in the original quote although he said he would provide one upon completion of the repair work and understanding the painting needs better at that time. What we learned, upon completion of the repair work, was his painting hourly rates are not competitive with regular painters. We are left with finding a reputable painter. This is understandable as he prefers to utilize his resources on higher hourly rate drywall jobs than on lower rate painting tasks. I only wish Roy would have been more clear about this upfront. We will definitely use Southern Counties Drywall for any future drywall needs but will need to make sure we have a painter lined up to complete the job.

I highly recommend Southern Counties Drywall. I had two holes in my ceiling where the previous owner had jerry-rigged some speakers. Greg patched up both holes and you can't even tell there were ever holes there. I had even suggested just putting making the speakers more secure, which would have saved him a lot of time and effort, but he said patching the hole was safer. Wow! A business the actually cares about their customers! You just don't find that anymore.

Everything went great. Purchased 4 hours of time on Angie's List. Roy sent me an email almost immediately with his contact information. I gave him a call and gave him a run down of what I wanted. Speaking with him helped me clarify exactly what could and could not be done within the 4 hour period. He then asked to send him some pictures of what needed to be done so he could bring the proper supplies to the job. Day of, received a call right before 8 stating he was at the supplier picking up what he needed and there was a line so would be a little late. He arrived about 8:15 and immediately surveyed the work, told me what/how he could do, and then went to work. He spent almost an hour just prepping the areas, both the dining room area and the bathroom looked like they could used to quarantine someone. He explained as he went what he was doing. The entire job took just over 4 hours and was completely exactly how I had expected to it be. In fact, the results were better than I expected. He did a great job matching the old texture (which was probably done decades ago) with the new. He also gave some advice on painting the area since I'll be doing that myself. He warned me there would be some residual powder floating the air that will settle over the next few days, which is exactly what happened. It wasn't bad, but obviously unavoidable when doing touch up work. He cleaned up after himself and even washed down the area in the front of our garage where he was setup for mixing and prepping. I then asked for a quote to drywall our garage. We will definitely give them first dibs next time we need some drywall work completed.

Provider showed up early; was professional; did the work exactly as specified. The craftsmanship was high quality; I will use again and recommend to friends and neighbors.

It went really well. He patched drywall and sprayed and one of the walls. He also had to patch a more difficult area, he went out of his way to accommodate me with this issue.

The workman (Roy) did an outstanding job. We have a popcorn ceiling and you can't tell it has been patched. I could not be more pleased with the work. You won't go wrong with this company. The price was fair and the work was excellent.

He arrived on time. I expected Roy would do the job the way I would have done it (I am an average homeowner and an amateur handyman) Fortunately, he was a pro and did a real professional job. He worked hard, cleanly, and to perfection. He even matched the texture with a spray gun and other professional implements. He was very friendly. I am very glad he did the job, not me! Yup, I'd have him again if my drywall needed work, and certainly would recommend him to my friends.

I can't say enough about South County Drywall! I contacted Roy on a Sunday, he returned my call immediately. He came to my house and completely saw my vision of opening up the wall between my kitchen and living room. He was prompt, honest and did exactly what he said he was going to do in the time and cost that he promised. He was so easy to communicate with. Rich came to help and the two of them did a stellar job with shaping out the arch between the two rooms, drywall and a beautifully blended texture. I would use them again in a heart beat...as a matter of fact I have another job in a couple of weeks I'm going to use them for!

Roy was quick to return my phone call and worked with me on the cost to repair a 2' x 1' hole in my ceiling. Since it was a small patch, he came down to $175 which was the best quote I had after calling several other companies. He was punctual (even a little early), efficient and fast. Thanks Roy.

We purchased a home where the previous owners put an arched entryway into one of the bedrooms they were using as an office. We needed to close that arch to use it as a bedroom. We called South Counties Drywall. He came out. Gave a quote and did the job a couple days later. He matched the existing texture on the wall PERFECTLY. We couldn't ask for a better job!! Will use again when we need more work done.

Called him Thursday, he came on time Friday (the next day), worked all day, finished around 5. Work was EXCELLENT. He was super cool and very fair and kept everything clean and did a very professional job on the taping off of everything.
