This was for my grandma's house. I had to find a plumber who wouldnt take advantage of an elderly lady like the last plumber we used. The plumber we were recommended to try was out of town so he referred us to Proficient Plumbing, well I figured nothing like a plumber referral FROM a plumber!! They called her to set up a time they would come, showed up on time and their representative fixed everything even looked at a few other things she may want to get replaced in the future. He gave her a rough estimate and asked if she wanted to do it now, she said no, he said ok. No pressure. She was thrilled! She was even more thrilled when he handed her the bill for only $140, she expected it to be double that. Well that was because the last plumber was taking advantage, he charged her $500 installation for a garbage disposal PLUS the disposal itself.

He arrived on time and managed the repairs quickly and competently. He recommended a further repair for the toilet, or preferably a replacement, because the brand we have has a weak flush and tendency to run. We are familiar with these problems, and thought it was a good recommendation. He also mentioned that the base of the toilet should not be sealed with caulk which tends to conceal leakage around the toilet and transfer it to another area. This was another good suggestion which he pointed out was according to the plumbing code effective in our area. We appreciated the type of repair he did on the dishwasher--replacing the inflexible copper line with a flexible one. As he said, now if it leaks again, we don't have to call a plumber. The plumber was very pleasant, carefully cleaning up after himself, and doing an especially good job cleaning up the caulking which had been erroneously placed around the base of the toilet previously. We would definitely use this company again. They were much better than the last two plumbers that we used.
