+ -1 moreI had 3 landscapers bid. The bids were close in price, but Jim Shepstone had the best plan. Our new brick front porch is beautiful. The yard is now full of drought resistant plants, with 2 artistically placed magnolia trees and a winding path. The back has a new drainage system and there is strategically placed lighting throughout. Jim and his crew were there when he said they would be and everything went as scheduled. All costs were communicated upfront and there were no surprises. Jim Shepstone is the best contractor we have ever hired.
Description of Work: Complete yard re landscape -front and back. Large tree removed. New front porch and sidewalk.

Description of Work: Have used Jim and his crew several times for landscaping our Orange County canyon home. He landscaped our front and back yards and they came out beautifully. He installed a front retaining wall, new driveway, flagstone and hardscaping and landscaped both the front and back areas. His crew and various subs are generally competent and knowledgeable. He does top-notch work and is a whiz with plants. The negative is that he can be more than a little loose with his scheduling. And it can be a chore to get that last 5% of the job and the various fixes completed. So I suggest holding out final payment until everything is complete. He's worth iit.
