Green Choice Living

Green Choice Living called me 4-5 times over the course of last year advising me of an energy saving program that pays for a large portion of work being done on your home to make it more energy efficient. During the last phone call I received from them they advised me that the money was running out so if I wanted to take advantage of it now was the time. Chris Larkin from Green Choice Living came to my home on Dec 20, 2011 and he told me that the program with the gas company would cover 57% of the work being done on your home. When I asked where the money was coming from he said you can thank Obama for that and gave me an a quote of $11000 for bay window, french doors, and a slider. I told him I couldn't afford that and he said with the discount from the program is would be about $4500. He asked for my personal information to see if I was approved for the energy saving program, to receive the discount. It turns out he used my information to see if I was approved for a Wells Fargo Visa loan. After the work was completed I received a statement from Wells Fargo home improvement project credit card in the amount of $8799.96. I complained to Wells Fargo, the Contractor's Licensing Board, and the Better Business Bureau. Wells Fargo forced Green Choice Living to pay the account in full and close the account credit card. They billed me for $4500, which was the original quote, on another Wells Fargo credit card but they were being investigated by the Contractor's Board and I asked if I could wait until all the charges were addressed because they were being looked at for a similar complaints. In the mean time they put a lien on my house for $8799.96. I feel like I was frauded by this company for an entire year by telling me about a program that never existed.
