The process went very well. Josh and Nate clearly know their stuff and they were easy to work worth. They were punctual, clean and friendly. These days AV equipment and the remotes to control them is anything but simple, and even a self-proclaimed geek like myself can get overwhelmed quickly. I was on a budget so I ordered my own equipment before and during my remodel (I had a good idea of what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend) and they installed it. I'm sure they could have probably gotten me similar quality at a similar price (higher quality at a higher price), but this was the way I wanted to handle it (note to readers - the research and time that goes into deciding this is not inconsequential, so unless you are interested in spending the time and energy to research various elements of an install you are probably best left leaving it to them). We now have a media room that gives us a great experience in the comfort of our own home and have the guys at Epic to thank for it.
Description of Work: We recently did an extensive remodel to our lower level. All of the drywall was pulled off the walls and the ceilings. Josh and Nate at Epic handled all phases of the A/V work. As I sourced most of my own equipment (my choice) the parts I purchased from Epic included all of the wiring and the remote, and consequently the amount I spent does not include the cost of the TV's, speakers, or other home theater components. Prewiring included:Media Room: Prewired for 5.1 surround sound, wall mounted TV, numerous ethernet ports, and a conduit to allow for a potential projector setup in the future. Gym: Prewired for 2 speakers, ethernet connection and wall mounted TV, wall mounted volume control..Living Room: Prewired for 2 speakers, pulled ethernet for two potential TV/internet locations in the future, wall mounted volume control.Patio: Rewired 2 existing outdoor speakers, prewired for two additional speakers, two wall mounted volume control. Finish work included:Media room: Mounting 80" TV, installing all speakers/ethernet ports, programming MX-880 remote and cord management in media console.Gym: Mounting 42" TV, 2 speakers, wall mounted volume control.Living Room: Mouted two speakers, wall mounted volume control.Patio: Wired existing speakers, two wall mounted volume controls.
