Bixby Knolls Carpet

Crew was very nice. However we decided to only have main area carpeted because of the beautiful teak flooring that was discovered once the old carpet was pulled. Because of this, 4 sets of stairs were not carpeted. I was only given a $75 cut in price. Stairs are very time consuming. The amount we were charged for only a 10x12 area was very disappointing. They also didn't melt/glue the engine panel doors correctly so the carpet is fraying around the edges. Should have pulled the carpet ourselves and bought a beautiful throw rug. Would have saved a lot $. This was a very bad decision.

They were in and out in a half hour and did a great job. They even hauled it away! My only concerned is that there was still glue left on the floor from where they removed the carpet and It seems very difficult to get off.

I loved working with Bixby Knolls! Prior to speaking with them, I had gone to 3 other major carpet stores including the popular New York Carpet warehouse, but though the prices were great at New York, I just couldn't find anything in a lighter color that I liked. Finally, I found Bixby Knolls through a family member. I explained to Dennis exactly what I was looking for, but also stipulated that my husband and I bought a fixer upper and needed to stick to a certain budget. The looks I liked were out of our price range, so I asked if he could suggest any solutions. Dennis showed me a brand new type of carpet which was polyester, thus bringing down the cost and I actually liked the feel and texture better than the other options I had been looking at. The cost fit our budget, and Bixby Knolls was prompt in ordering and did a fantastic job installing it with all of their staff and installers being very friendly. I would highly recommend them.

The carpet was installed in a room addition which had an uneven cement slab. Some of the uneven cement was chipped away, and a quick drying cement was applied to "float" (even out) the fllor, before laying the padding and carpet. The guy had to be called out a second time because there was a pocket of air in one spot where the carpet joined a linoleum floor. Although it would have been better if the job was done right the first time, credit has to be given for the fact that the company made sure it was fixed to my satisfaction.

The work went very well. They showed up when they were supposed to. They completed the job. It is not an easy thing to match all the seaming and all the stuff but they did a very good job of it. They upgraded our carpet pad to the memory foam which I absolutely loved. When you put something down then months later you get a hole in the carpet but memory foam pops back real quickly. They were very clean. They were very easy to deal with. Their price was better than some other places we looked at. It was around $5000. We looked at 10 different places and we are happy with their price. If have to do the carpeting again then I would definitely use Bixby Knolls.
