Description of Work: I contacted Berk's Electric about some electrical issues I was having in our home (Blinking lights, breakers going off). Jeff Berkowitz came the day I called them, and he diagnosed the problem as a faltering main and couple of breakers were burned out. He had one of his guys put in a temporary main, and in a couple of weeks came back and replaced the entire 200 amp service panel. They performed the work as outlined and did a quality job. I was very pleased with their work. I had several electricians work on the new panel, all very qualified and courteous.

Description of Work: In October 2015 I had another electrician, Accurate Electric, scheduled to repair some broken high voltage landscaping wire in my backyard and they finked out on me saying they didn't have time in their schedule after repeated calls from me. Since this was the second time they cancelled on me I gave up on them. I called Berke Electric and spoke to Mr. Berkowitz himself who came out to my house to review the work and provide me an estimate. They completed the work right away and gave a better price than Accurate Electric. In January 2016 I needed to have four non functioning outlets repaired. Berke came and repaired them and called me (I was out of town) every step to let me know their progress. They were very professional and dependable. I like that it's a family business because you feel like they really value the customer.

+ 1 moreJeff, the owner, was on time to our appointment. He helped me define what needed to be done and was very helpful in telling me what I needed to purchase (ceiling fans). When I had the work done, his electrician, Chris, worked efficiently. Chris was professional, intelligent and efficient, and made some suggestions for additional repairs. When I wanted to make some changes, Jeff worked with me on adjusting the estimate.. Chris (and on the first day, another electrician) worked well with the painters, who had to put in drywall for the bathroom lights. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: I had three ceiling fans installed; a chandelier moved from one room to another; recessed lighting installed in my kitchen and three bathrooms; double spot light fixture installed in one bathroom; hallway lighting changed; all existing lighting in these rooms had to be removed; and minor electrical repair work done in various rooms including repairing a doorbell and GFIs installed.
