Hired Martin Garcia and scheduled a time for him to come to my home. I stayed home from work just so that I could go over the work with him. I called to confirm about 30 minutes just in case. He calls back and says that he forgot about our appointment and could come at the end of the day. When I told him that I was concerned and not happy about his lack of professionalism here, he told me to find a new gardener, which is what I did.

Martin and his crew were very punctual. They arrived and got to work immediately on removing the old sod. They did a great job leveling soil with major gopher damage. Martin recommended using the weed killer on the old grass roots left in the soil before installing the new sod. This was great advice. They came a week later to install sod and sprinklers. Martin made accommodations for my requests and adjusted sprinkler head locations for my grass and planters. Overall I would highly recommend him and his crew. Great value for his prices. I also liked that he was licensed and insured.

After my disasterous experience with Mendez Lawn Service, I joined Angie's List and found Garcia's Gardening Service. Such a difference. They take excellent care of my lawn. In addition to mowing the lawn they keep all the shrubs trimmed and the flower beds completely weeded. Without direction, they trim down and winterize my roses. I expecially like how they do not trim shrubs that are about to flower. They are always friendly and courteous.

I called Garcia's Gardening Service and spoke with Martin Garcia. I explained that I would like to have some landscaping done to my backyard as I have 3 dogs (2 Labrador Retriever puppies and one 4 year old Lab) and that I needed a pet friendly backyard that will also look nice. He came by the next day and we went over my idea's for my backyard. My priority was needing the side of my house turned into a dog run, so that when the dogs are not in my house, they have a safe place to stay and to use for a potty area. I explained that without a dog run, the backyard landscaping could not be accomplished.He measured all areas and gave me a quote for the services needed. These were trimming and lacing back one tree 25' tall, removal of 3/4 size gravel from side of house and disposing of it and installing 2 yards of pea gravel creating a dog run. Extend drainage from dog run another 20 feet , install wire mesh on 3 drainage grates to keep dogs from damaging them. Martin suggested replacing old, leaking irrigation valves in front lawn and upgrading the indoor timer from 6 stations to 9 stations to cover all areas of irrigation in backyard. I concurred with that. I also needed 3 medium sized shrubs removed from my old damaged rear planter. He suggested that I have them install a 3/4 size valve for the garden area in the back and to change old sprinklers for the lawn and planter areas. I agreed. Because of the rainy season, the work was completed by December 30 and I did not have a problem with that. I also asked Mr. Garcia for a quote to build a new planter by rear lawn including removing old planter and constructing a new one 60 feet long by 2 feet high. He did this around the second or third week of December, completing it by Christmas. He also extended the planter sprinkler line another 25 feet. I will have him fill the planter and plant shrubs in Spring when there are more plant choices. Two of the sprinkler heads in the planter do not work, but he said that he would fix it when he comes back to complete my landscaping. I trust him as he has done an excellent job so far. He has been very friendly and thorough. He checked on his workers at least once or twice during the days they were here, even doing the work himself. We were communicating throughout the process. And he was patient with my dogs needing to be let out to the dog run to potty throughout the days of working, and he was accommodating with the changes that I had made throughout the process. In November,he also quoted me for removal of old grass and also to grade and level my backyard and to install St. Augustine plugs, including mulch, fertilizer and labor, but as time went on, in December, we decided to ask for a quote for St. Augustine sod as we were going into the winter season, and I thought it best to wait until spring when St. Augustine sod isn't dormant and would take much easier than the plugs.He emailed me this quote. This we will have them do in the spring along with placing shrubs and plants in the planter area. He also removed my old fence and irrigation from my garden and did not charge me for it, and he also removed some and quot;junkand quot; and hauled it away. That's going beyond service. They are very hard workers. Although I still need my lawn graded, and sod, plants, mulch,etc. installed in the spring (my decision), I will be happy to have Martin Garcia and crew do this work for me.

Martin Garcia was able install trees and the ground cover that we wanted on the slope. They were also able to fix the irrigation system on the larger part of our lawn which is now much greener. The slope looks phenomenal and my wife was very pleased.

Garcia called and arrived to give an estimate. He listened and provided suggestions from his views. On the schedule day, Garcia notified before for coming late, and finished the work.

I contacted Martin of Garcia's gardening services and arranged a time to get an estimate, which he responded very quickly just a few days after our initial contact. The estimate was very very reasonable for the amount of work that was going to be involved. My wife and I gave the go ahead to do the job, and a few days later he and his crew got started. It was very hot, each day was well over 100 degrees but his crew worked almost non-stop each day for three days to complete. They were very professional and cleaned up the area each day before going home. The job turned out very well and my wife and I could-not be more pleased. We both highly recommend Garcia's Gardening Services. We plan to have them come back in the future to re-landscape the area with a less maintenance ground cover. Very Happy!

Mr.Garcia is a pleasant gentleman to do business with. His workers are extremely polite and seem to be very knowledgable. The work is very good and I would use Mr. Garcia's services again with the following caution: I did not get a written estimate, I relied on a verbal estimate/agreement between us of $600.00 to complete the work listed above with the exception of Mr. Garcia mentioning to me sometime during the process he needed and quot;some more of the blue fescueand quot; which in effect amounted to 8 additional plants and when I was given the invoice at the completion of the work the price had increased to $800.00. This was a complete surprise to me and was the only unfortunate aspect of this transaction.

Price was comparable to other quotes. We added on a couple items and price seemed reasonable given how much work there was do to. Three guys came and worked all day. We did a walk-around at the end. I am very detailed and picky, so I asked them to remove several missed weeds, which they did with no problem. I was pleased with the work. The yard looked great. Martin gave me a quote for monthly service which seemed reasonable and was $20 cheaper than the one other monthly quote I got.

The owner, Martin Garcia, was very polite and his demeanor was professional. He seemed to be knowledgeable and experienced. He arrived on Thursday (a few minutes late, but he quickly apologized) to give me an estimate for the work, and wished me luck with whomever I would hire to actually do the job. When I called him on Friday to offer him the job, he was thankful. His crew showed up on Saturday morning and worked all day from 8am to 6pm. They never disturbed me or asked me for anything the entire day, and only stopped briefly for lunch and to haul away debris. They returned again first thing on Sunday morning, and for an hour or two, they worked very quietly to avoid waking me or my neighbors. In the morning, I had MOUNDS of cut branches after so much cutting the day before. But when they left, it was so clean it looked like no one had ever been there. They did exactly what I asked, were very professional, and left everything immaculate in the end. Great job!

Wow is all that I can say! We have had tree trimmers coming for years and when they are done, trees are sparse and it takes at least a month before they start looking good again. Martin's team didn't just trim....they shaped the trees and they are beautiful. My yards are my happy place, and Martin brought them back to life. He was a delight to work with, did more work than expected, and he really knows his stuff! We will be using him for regular bi-weekly yard service and tree trimming from now on...

Martin Garcia personally supervised the clean-up crew, and the work was completed exactly as promised, without any complications. Also, Garcia's has been maintaining my front yard for over a month now. His price is at the high end of what is to be expected, I think, but they have been dependable, thorough, responsive and very pleasant to work with, so I feel I'm getting my money's worth. Martin inspected my irrigation system and made some minor adjustments, which have worked out very well. When I get around to putting an irrigation system in the back yard, I will have Martin design and install it. I am also contemplating some concrete work, but that depends on my future budget. Mr. Garcia is very easy to work with, professional, knowledgeable and responsive. I have hired (and fired) three yard maintenance companies over the past 16 months, but I feel I have finally found a company that I can keep for the long term.

They were easy to work with. I think their price was reasonable. They were pretty good at what they did.

He is doing very well. However, sometimes he doesn't come on time. The work has been great, though.

I spend about $20 a week. They are good. I will use them in the future.

All that Martin did was awesome! We thought that this would be another 1200$ work order, but were shocked and very pleased in the price we payed for everything that was done. It has been a couple weeks from when the work has been done to our lawn looks great, it is greener than before, there is no evidence of yellowish areas where the fungus was present and although there is still areas of nasty crab grass it is drowned out by lucious green brand new sprouts of fescue grass popping up. Martin repeatedly said he would not hesitate to come out if there was any problems and if we even wanted him to just check on things and how the grass was recovering. This is a great company and Martin is a great worker who has a company that does quality work at a reasonable price. Thanks Martin
