+ -1 moreI used the service of Cagle's Appliance a few weeks ago to check on a dishwasher that I had bought from them. They also serviced our washing machine. They are pretty good. If you call them they respond right away. They are very professional and they do very good work. I would highly recommend them. The vessels were not coming out clean so I thought it was a problem with the dishwasher but it wasn't. They told me what soaps to buy and use white vinegar and now everything is fine and works. They are pretty good. I would use them again. They were here on time and they fixed it. They didn't take a long time to fix it. Sometimes it might be something that you can fix on your own or they would send somebody to fix it. I have not really priced a lot of appliances. I think they charged us whatever the going rate is on service calls and such stuff.

+ -1 moreThey are very good at listening when I make the initial service call. The person who answers the phone is very knowledgeable and takes down the appropriate information. The day that their repairman arrived he came in the door with the motherboard. I was able to give them enough information, but the woman who answers the phone seems to have a clue about what is going on. The report is done well so that they understand what job they are coming to do. I like everything about them everything the second repairman that I had. I was not very impressed with him.
Description of Work: I used Cagle's Appliance. They did oven repair 6-9 months ago. They replaced the motherboard on my double ovens. I have used them 3 times for appliance repairs.

+ -1 moreThey gave us a very good discount and I recommended them to many of my friends and they were all very pleased with the repair work this company did for them. We did have to reorder a part that had been damaged when it arrived and that went very smoothly and we had no problem there. They are small family owned place that has been there for 40 years or something. It is a very homely place not like the chains. Their prices were good. They do take off a chuck at the end. I don’t think I could have done better any place else. We did go around and look at other places. We were very satisfied with the pricing. We had them come out twice to bring different times and they would call us from the store in the mornings and then the truck driver would call us before he show up. We were very pleased and they are a good company. We would use them in the future.

+ -1 moreWe called them in the morning and they were out either that afternoon or the next morning. He came out and diagnosed the problem. He fixed it. He was a good person and did a great job. He was professional. He went right to his work and explained to us what he was doing and what needed to be done. Everything is working well. We know them locally. They have been in business here for years and years. They are not the cheapest, but they are really good. They are not overpriced either. We get what we pay for. They are a reliable and reputable company. I would absolutely recommend them to others.
Description of Work: We used Cagle's Appliance to repair a mini oven. They replaced the thermostat and fuse. We had bought a stove from them about 30 years ago.

+ -1 moreThe part never came in the next day and nobody from Cagles called to inform me, I found out only when I called to check. The part came in 2 days later, again I found out only when I called. I took the door in it was fixed the same day, but the workmanship was less than professional. The door metal screws were stripped. When I called they did tell me to bring the door back, but with the poor experience I did not bother. I replaced the stripped screws with new ones I purchased.
Description of Work: Cagles provided parts and labor for an oven door. The part was not competitive, I agreed to go forward as I was promised that the part would be in the next day and that I could bring the door in and it would be replaced while I was waiting.

+ -1 moreCagle?s Appliance was prompt. Their prices were fair. They did what they said they?d do and did it quickly. Their original estimate was $286. They got in and the parts that had been broken were repaired rather easily. So it was just $86. Their quality of work was fine. They were very responsive and punctual. There were two repairmen. One was not very professional and then the second one came out and revised the estimates. He was extremely professional.
Description of Work: I used Cagle’s Appliance. They repaired a broken range top, last week.

+ -1 moreGreat: no problems, prompt, courteous, profession and kind. The delivery/installation crew arrived within the 2 hour time frame given! They were respectful of my home and even cleaned up a water mess left by the dead fridge.
Description of Work: Sales: Our fridge died. After researching on Consumer Reports, we found the fridge we wanted. Checked other major retailers for product, price and delivery ability. No one came close to Cagle's. Some places said it would take 21 days to get the fridge to us! Other places were charging almost $750.00 more than the 'suggested' listed with Consumer Affairs. With Cagle's, I called on a Monday, made the purchase over the phone (had the manufacture product number) and the fridge was delivered & installed on Wednesday morning! Every person I spoke with @ Cagle's was prompt, professional, courteous, kind, informative and understood my issues. I was treated with respect and dignity; these traits are just not found in today's businesses. The installation crew were respectful of my home and even helped to clean a water spill from the dead fridge! I highly recommend this company for both SALES and SERVICE!

+ -1 moreGreat! They came same day and were very quick to diagnose and repair the appliance. No hidden overcharges or slow work to add to the service charges (75.00 to assess (includes 30 min in the home) and $72.00/hr thereafter. They bill in 15 min increments so you don't have to pay for more time that you didn't use.
Description of Work: My refrigerator stopped working and so I called Sears since that is where I had purchased it only to be told that they did not fix Maytag refrigerators as per a contract they had with Maytag and that I needed to contact them. I did, and was given an estimated wait time of early June. Since this was not acceptable to me, they did offer me the name of one of their affiliates, A & E, which actually had come to my home to do some recall work on this same fridge but they also gave me an appointment for May 27. I don't know about you, but I have 4 teenagers to feed and really did not want to live without a fridge for that long. I called Cagle's on Wed evening and left a message. I got a call back from them early Thurs., 5/21 and they were at my house by 10am! The repairman that came was courteous and knew exactly what was wrong with my appliance. He was in and out within 30 min! The cost of the repair was reasonable, $168.58. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs to have an appliance fixed. I also found out that they sell appliances for a very reasonable cost. I am in need of a new counter top stove and my husband and I are heading there this weekend. When I get bad service, I usually just make a mental note to not use that company again and, if someone asks my opinion, I tell them the truth. Well the truth is, Cagle's will now be my appliance store for repairs and hopefully purchases from now on. You guys rock!

She also worked with me to try and fix it myself without having to have a technician come out (that was GREATLY appreciated). She gave me helpful hints to reduce the amount of time the repairman was there. The repairman showed up in the appointed time frame, he was courteous and professional and explained, thoroughly, what he did. He made it a point to tell me that if the problem continued, to call back and he would be happy to return.
Description of Work: Refrigerator has been leaking. Found a sheet of ice at the bottom of freezer and the ice cube maker collection box had frozen clumps of ice (looked as if it had partially melted then re-froze).

+ -1 moreI placed a call to Cagle's because my clothes dryer stopped heating. Cagle's was able to come out to my house within two days of my initial call. Upon coming to the house, the repairman quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced a fuse. He also recommended a better way to vent the dryer for better performance. The service was quick and efficient.
Description of Work: Cagle's replaced a fuse within our gas clothes dryer.

+ -1 moreMy Kenmore dryer stopped spinning. I called another company but the first appointment they could give me was in 8 days. I called Cagle's and they said someone would be out the next day between noon and 4 p.m. They asked for the model number on my dryer and told me where to find it. The repair person showed up at 2 p.m with the part they thought was needed to fix the problem. He was in and out in 15 minutes. They were very nice, helpful and reasonable. The cost was 73.00 which included the part and service charge of $58.00.
Description of Work: Belt replaced on old Kenmore dryer.

+ -1 moreA company I called some time ago told me that the problem with the stove was electrical. I had an electrician look at it and he said the guy was nuts. It took a couple of tries to find someone who would repair Thermador so I was relieved to find this company. The repairman came out the same day (Mon), diagnosed the problem immediately had the part ordered and the oven fixed on Friday in time for Christmas dinner the next Monday. The labor charge was almost as much as the parts (e.g., he charged $85 to pull out the built-in stove far enough for access) but the service was excellent and I am delighted to have my main oven functioning again.
Description of Work: Replacing the computer panel on a $3,000 Thermador combination oven.
