Quick and knowledgeable

He was a really nice guy, and his work was acceptable for the most part. However, $345 for less than an hour's work (which included approximately $50 $75 in parts) was just not right. Also, we had an appointment that was set over the phone for the day after Memorial Day at 10 a.m. When he was not there by 10:30, I called him. He apologized, said he forgot (??), and reset the appointment for noon. Unfortunately, his lack of being on time caused this 75-year-old veteran to have to deal with both him and another contractor at the same time. It was very stressful and should not have happened. I called him the next day about a possible refund of a portion of the $345.00 plus the $15.00 tip I gave him in the confusion of having two contractors here at the same time. He would not budge, not an inch. What I did not mention to him, as I did not discover it until later, was that one of the door knobs he sold me as new turned out to appear to have been used. It has a tiny chip on the underside of the knob, which you only notice when you close the door a certain way. Oh well, live and learn. Again, a nice guy who seems to know his job but is not worth nearly $300 an hour!

He was punctual, professional, and courteous.

He was friendly and fixed mistakes that were made with my last hire. Costing me more then I expected. I deserve a refund for Alonzo’s work. Ron however was polite with fixing the mistakes. And overall his price was fair. But I should not be paying for work that I thought was completed with my last appointment.

Excellent customer service and responded immediately to my request.

Ron Smith contacted me and explained the process of unlocking my interior door. I had been locked out of that room for 2 days! We made the appointment for 1:30 pm next day, however he asked if he finished other jobs earlier would I be available. He has excellent and prompt text messages / communication. When he arrived he needed only 20 minutes to unlock the door and make a set of new keys! He shared that he has been doing this work for 6 years, wow he was so efficient. Ron asked if I needed any other service, so I had him install my new front door handle and deadbolt. He had to drill into the metal door because the length of the handle was shorter. I am so happy to have new locks now! I will recommend Ron Smith to all my friends.
