They wanted to repair my unit. That would cost me $1300 to repair my unit. It's 50 years old. He came out right away and he was nice. He didn't try to sell me a new unit and that was pretty good. $39 was really cheap. That's why I called them. They did what I called them to do. I didn't call them to fix anything. I just called them to service my unit. He gave me a time slot. He came out within the time slot.

The technician was really kind and thoughtful. He did checkups thoroughly and walked through with me. He didn't try to suggest anything but what I really needed. Totally satisfactory.

When I called to schedule, Roxana was very prompt, courteous, and professional. She answered all my questions and even asked what size filter we need so the technician would bring the right size. Technician Brian showed up on time, was very courteous, prompt and professional. He left a detailed write-up of the inspection and replaced the very dirty air filter. There was no attempt to up-sell. I highly recommend Excel Air for any HVAC work. I would hire them again.

I purchased a deal to have our air conditioning serviced by Excel Air. They were great - had quick availability to come complete the service, arrived on time, and kept us updated as to when they would be arriving.

They did a wonderful job. They were courteous and competent. I felt that their price was fair and I would absolutely use them again in the future.

He went and did the service, but after he came and talked to us about it, he immediately left. The furnace wouldn't shut off because of the way that he connected to the furnace, so I had to go into the attic and manually shut it off, removed the jumper wires he forgot, and put the furnace back together. I wasn't especially upset about it because it seemed like an honest mistake, but it was very inconvenient.

They showed up on time and performed a nice job.

It went great! They were on time, and did not try to charge me for unnecessary work. I paid the $85 for the A/C Tune-Up according to the deal on Angie's List, and that was it. Thank you!

It was fine. My husband met with them. They did try to upsell. They didn't push. But, they definitely had a list of, "You have to, in the future, buy this." I really don't like upsells. They were very responsive.

I had a furnace removed and new furnace installed. The furnace was moved from the closet to the Attic for a future bathroom remodel. During the process my hardwood floors where damaged. We brought up our concern and they removed a man from the job for day two of the installation. Day 2 worse damage was done to the floor, simply taking the time to put down some simple cardboard would have prevented this. There where also some scratches on the walls. On top this when connecting the vent to the roof they ripped off multiple shingles and did not even attempt to replace them. This would have caused significant water damage to my home. I hired a roofing company to fix this as I had not confidence in this company to properly repair the roof. I have pictures if anyone cares to see them. They also had to come back twice as the first installer did not properly run the ducting to my 2 year old daughters room and she did not have any heat. Then the furnace just stopped working on a Sunday morning called them they sent someone out Monday after a cold Sunday night. Fixed the problem which would not have happened if they took the time to inspect what they did in the first place. They also left trash and left over materials in my attic . To save time they used old rusted vent pipe rather that putting in a new one thanks a lot. One of the most unprofessional jobs I have ever seen done.

Nick was prompt, patient, courteous and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. What a wonderful guy! This happened during a particularly cold spell, and Nick diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly so that we didn't freeze! This is the second time I've called Excel Air, and everyone from the person who answers the phone to the technicians who come to my home have been excellent! I would HIGHLY recommend these people to anyone who needs help with air conditioning/heating in a timely, professional manner.

Excellent overall; prompt with appointments. Professional. Minimal dry wall work needed. Wifi thermostats work great as does the ice-cold AC. We have 3 zones in a large 6000 sq ft house. Did everything quickly and professionally. Price was good for this large system.

Arrived promptly, checked AC, replaced air filter and reported findings. Let me know that our older unit was working well, but was only half as efficient as current models. He did not push me to replace it.

The technician showed up on time, was fully professional, checked the system and replaced the filters. He also answered all my questions and was good with my cats. Just what I wanted.

The original technician that was sent to do the job did his best but after a series of issues and 2 days of attempting to remedy them I concluded that he was in over his head. In his defense, this type of sensor faucet is pretty new on the market and he had limited experience with this particular kind of installation. I ended up contacting the company owner, Bob Muller. He listened to my concerns and he took immediate action to resolve them by offering to finish the job himself. Bob arrived within an hour of our conversation to do the work and within another hour he had the faucet working perfectly. He also checked the work that had been done on the toilets to make sure that everything was done correctly. I'm a stickler for doing things right and up to code and Bob was on the same page with me. It's not easy to find a really good plumber. Bob has earned my future business.

This is the hottest time of the year in Southern California. Everyone's AC goes out now. There are lots of people wanting service. With that in mind, the office girls seemed alittle disorganized with promises to call back but not acting on that. They are kind and professional, just overwhelmed right now. The service technician, Nick, was great. He knew immediately what was wrong and helped to explain the problem. He provided an estimate of a new unit with no pressure to purchase like many of the other ac companies. He knew what he was doing and quickly diagnosed the problem. The price was extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend them in the future. He did not try and sell you what you did not need like many of the other ac companies.

They arrived and performed check and stated to tenants that there is a small problem outside with the compressor and they will contact the landlord to discuss it. They never contacted us.

The fellow was pleasant enough and he seemed to explain everything that he was charging me for but I have never been bit by a charge like that.

Lucas looked at the ac unit. Could have told me the whole thing needed replacing at around $4,000, but was honest and told me it was only the thermostat. Would definitely recommend him.

I guess they did ok for the price because this was an Angie's List special deal. They went in the attic to evaluate the AC unit and check that everything was functioning ok, but they didn't open up the unit (which I guess they wouldn't do for $39). They said everything is working fine. The problem is when I had someone open the unit, they found severe mold all throughout. So it seems to me if you're going to have your AC "checked out", you would want to know that there is mold growing inside the unit!

This was a great experience for us. Lucas checked everything, made sure our system was running well and our basic maintenance was up to date by changing out our filter. He is the most knowledgable AC tech we have ever met and will be our first call if/when we need help in the future. Dealt with Roxana and Lucas ; both were accessable, honest, patient, and great communicators... can't go wrong using this company!

During the heat wave Escondido was experiencing and naturally our a.c. quit working. The receptionist at Excel could hear my frustration and she did her best to find the earliest appt. possible. Then, even better, she called back and said the technicians finished earlier than expected and wanted to know if they could come out a day early. I could have hugged her thru the phone. When the technician arrived he went right to the unit and quickly checked what he suspected was the problem, which was the capacitor needed replaced. After that, he finished checking the remaining portion of the system. He told us the pressure readings indicated everything else was in good shape. I was so impressed we are going to probably have them on a yearly service plan for our office building as well as our home. The technician didn't bring it up, we did. So he wasn't a hustler and didn't make a sales pitch. This company is a winner and I would easily feel comfortable referring him to anyone.

The technician was on time and very friendly. He completed the inspection and advised me of my service options. He gave me a few further tips on some simple maintenance I could do to keep my unit in good condition. Overall I thought everything went very smoothly and I was happy with the appointment.

It went terrible! We will never use them again. I had to call another company out to find out what was going wrong with our air conditioners. They checked the freon, and it was almost gone. This is impossible if they had filled it up 2 months earlier. We did not get an invoice from the service person. Then we got a call asking us for about $750.00 and we didn't know what for. I called another company about 2 months later because the air conditioning was still not working. They had to replace a filament/cable that was rusted and that could not have rusted within 2 months like it was. Then they said that the freon was all gone and they added about 4 lbs of freon to one small air conditioner the other air conditioner was completely dry of freon. If all this was done with Excel, then I would not have needed this done again so soon. We rarely use our air conditioning. This company was supposed to do a complete check of all the workings of the air conditioning, but instead did a 15 minute activity that is unknown what was done to this day.
