Description of Work: We took advantage of the Angie's List Deal of the Day coupon, and our good impression of this company began the day we called their office to make an appointment. The phone was answered by a professional, polite, person, who answered my questions graciously and made an appointment to have our furnace checked out. The technician who kept the appointment called just before he arrived, and made a wonderful impression on us, as did other ExCel employees who later came. We had serious questions about the existing furnace in our home -- for one thing, our utility bills had been extremely high since it was put in, and we now learned that it was NOT a high-efficiency burner. We had wanted to replace it earlier, but didn't know who to call. We found exactly the right place in ExCel. They gave us an estimate for a new, high-efficiency furnace plus a special allergen filter, and we considered the price very fair. They arrived exactly on time on the date of installation -- again, people who were polite, accommodating, patient with all our questions, and hard workers. The people who work for ExCel are totally responsible and reliable. Thank you, Kirk & Tony! A couple of days after installation was completed, we had a question. It was after working hours, but Nick, the person who was here initially, simply said, "I'll be right there," and he was. He arranged for some minor changes, arranged to provide a different thermostat that would be more to my liking, and this was all done the next morning, with no charge to us. This is absolutely a wonderful company, and we recommend it without reservation! If Angie's List had an A+++, they would deserve it.

Description of Work: Tech was on time and talked me thru what he had planned. Then he checked to furnace and its connections, he replaced the filter ( I already had the filter), checked the air flow coming from all the condo vents, checked the furnace/AC thermometer on the wall in the hall, checked the outside control box for the AC unit. We discussed replacing the hall thermometer and I'll call the company later in January to replace it. I'll also call in late spring to have the AC unit checked out and possibly replaced.

Description of Work: This was a coupon for heated/AC filter change & inspection. Very polite, informative, on time, and no hard sales for other services. One small issue-not with the service at all-just the admin side of things. I paid for the coupon & they never called to set an appt. All my other coupon purchases had the service provider call & arrange the appt. So, I waited awhile & called them, saying they don't call. That should be noted in the ad.

Description of Work: This was just for a heater/ac check. I dont know if the complete comprehensive check was done, but everything was working fine so that was the good news. The tech was professional and informative and pointed out a couple of things I will need to do in the near future. Overall, it was good and I would call back this company again.

Description of Work: Did an estimate for HVAC work that was competitive. Did not feel that the worker did a thorough inspection justifying the 39 dollars. Kind of visually inspected and that is about all.

Description of Work: The inspection was done, but the technician tried to upsell me to a new air conditioner. He promised to send photos of inspected areas but didn't. In the future I will only buy coupons for specific work to be done.

Description of Work: He kept talking in circles, so I had him perform the minimum service to have my a/c fixed, and will call another company to have the rest taken care of.

Description of Work: Provided a AC and furnace tune-up and system assessment. When I first scheduled the service the dispatcher called a couple times to tell me the technician was running late. However, despite a 12-2pm appointment window he never made it out during the originally scheduled day. I rescheduled for a couple weeks later, and he was on time. Total appointment time lasted about 3 hours. He did a pretty thorough inspection and I learned a lot about my system. I felt the technician was pragmatic about upgrades/services given the age of my HVAC system. He was nice and professional throughout. I felt that he did some extras in terms of showing me how to monitor or service various components. He didn't have the correct filter size with him so he didn't change the filter, but I know it was changed recently so I wasn't too concerned about it. Overall, my experience was good, and I would use this company again.

Description of Work: Knowladge of the company representative was excellent, he found installation erros that ACMI (people who installed my AC unit). The only negative thing I found was the serice tech failed to install the screws to keep a pannel on my ac unit in place, he removed them and never put the stock screws back in place.

Description of Work: This company was recommended to us to have our heating and air conditioning unit checked out. They found that I had four bad furnaces, which I ended up replacing. They also checked my a/c units. They were extremely helpful.
