Woke up to a cold house and discovered the furnace was not working. Called MoorCo as they have serviced the unit in the past. The woman that took my call (Pilar) was extremely nice and was able to get a technician to come out within the hour. Andy was prompt and professional and let me know that we needed a new part. They were able to get the part and fix the problem within 4 hours of my initial call. At the end of the service call I found out that my technician is a third generation employee in this family business. Made me feel good to use a locally owned family business. With their great service, no wonder they have been around so long! I would not hesitate to use them again and I highly recommend them. Stellar job!

Contacted Moorco to replace the igniter in my furnace. I had called Moorco because their sticker was on the furnace when I purchased my home. When Dan (the owner) took apart the furnace, he quoted $247 to replace the part, but then told me he would have to charge an additional $200 to clean the furnace. I could have cleaned the furnace in 5 minutes myself with my vacuum and believed he was just trying to jack the price up. I feel he used bullying tactics to get me to concede. When I moved in just a year before, I had had all the HVAC ductwork cleaned. I asked Dan to put the furnace back together and told him that I would call another company. He told me he could not put it back together because it would not be safe unless cleaned. I asked him for the name of his supervisor, which is when he told me he was the owner. He did put the furnace back together and before Dan left, he told me he would not charge me for the service call - which was good because I would have reported him to the BBB. I called another company, who responded the next day. They not only replaced the ignited, but located a circuit board which had signs it had previously shorted, so it, too, was replaced. Never once did the tech from the new company mention that the furnace needed cleaning. I was disappointed that Moorco did not locate the problem with the circuit board. I would never recommend Moorco.

Bob from Moorco came out to give me a quote. He was very nice and knowledgable about A/C systems. He also pointed out several things that would need to be addressed to have our A/C functioning well and properly. It took a few days to get a quote to me. I had a few questions later, and that also took a few days to get back to me. Due to the slower response, I thought this may indicate how they might be in servicing future problems with our system. Their quote was extremely low compared to other companies that I had called, which was good but this also made me question what we were going to get for this low price. Due to these issues, we didn't go with them. If they had more feedback online, we may have tried them out.

The technician seemed very knowledgeable about A/C systems was was very informative about what work would need to be done to repair the A/C unit. I felt I received very good service from Moorco and was treated fairly on cost of repairs. I am 100% satisfied at this point.,

They were referred to me by another company that could not make it out for 3 weeks. They showed up with in one hour of the initial call. They assessed the situation and showed me what the problem was and fixed it in a timely manor. They were very informative and kept me involved every step of the way. He showed me exactly what work was performed and also showed me some maintenance tips to alleviate any problems in the future. He cleaned up very well after he was finished.

The installation process went just fine. This is a well known company around here and they are very good. They do duct work and heaters as well. They are very professional. I am not sure of the charge, but usually everyone gets a decent price. I would rate them highly. They worked quickly when they were here. They were in and out after completing the installation.

They are always pleasant, accessible by phone, on time, prices are less than most competitors. They appear to be knowledgeable, and have been in Oceanside for many years. It is hard to think of a reason to go elsewhere.
