Referred to service provider by home warranty company. Todd arrived within the designated time frame and quickly went to work. While repairing the problem, he explained what had caused the issue, and showed me the damage inside the panel. He cleaned everything up, replaced the breaker with the issue and also replaced the adjacent breaker that had started doing the same thing. Additionally, he (1) pointed out a code violation and fixed it, and (2) identified a wire for an additional circuit that wasn't properly set and fixed it also. Both items that would have required another service call if not fixed. When we purchased the home, our electrical inspector warned us that the panel would be an issue and would eventually require replacement. We'll be calling Todd back in a couple months to replace it. UPDATE: The inverter to my Solar PV system died, and I learned that the original installer is no longer in business. SMA-America shipped me a replacement inverter, but installation/exchange was my responsibility. Because I was impressed with Todd's work on my initial issue, I asked him to quote me on swapping out the inverter. The inverter hadn't been delivered when Todd arrived, and he waited while I tracked it down in route. I watched the entire process, even taking some pictures of the wiring to ensure no issues with the reconnect. After completing the installation, he took a series of voltage readings to ensure everything was correct. One reading came up as 120 when they should all have been 240, on the disconnect to the grid. It turned out the original installer had reversed two wires that could have resulted in someone being shocked when they thought the power was off. He corrected the wiring, rechecked all the readings and we fired up the system. When I asked how much extra I owed for fixing the issue with the disconnect, he said it was part of the job. Additionally, he took $20 off his initial quote because I was a 'returning customer'. We're extremely please with both jobs he completed, and highly recommend him. It also turned out he's a former Marine. Ooh Rah!!
