Kevin did a wonderful job for us on two projects. He modified our bath vanities by replacing the small drawers with cabinet doors. He also lowered our built in microwave and matched the existing cabinets.

I never received a call back despite leaving electronic and phone messages for a quote.

I cannot thank Kevin enough for the hard work he put into fixing / replacing / repairing my kitchen cabinets which was totally botched by another “contractor.” Kevin is very professional, a perfectionist, friendly, and responsive. I am amazed at the level of detail and effort he put into his work product and the service he provided. More than that, Kevin understood the situation I was in and offered multiple solutions to help fix the disaster I was left with. To put the project in perspective, the previous contractor incorrectly installed cabinets, granite pieces, backsplash, etc. then abandoned the project. The task-at-hand was to salvage what was possible but otherwise replace what couldn’t be – all while working in conjunction with the granite guy, tile guy, etc. There were a lot of moving parts. We had contractors walk away from bidding on the job because they were afraid their end work product would not be satisfactory. Kevin rolled up his sleeves and got it done. My wife and I could not be happier with the end result. I recommend Kevin to do any custom kitchens, custom cabinets, and related woodwork. An incredible craftsman and a great guy. We have used Kevin a number of times for finish cabinetry work. He always produces a professional product and has good ideas for how to accomplish the client's objective. His prices are reasonable for the quality of work and he is a pleasure to work with.

The sliding hardware for the drawers were replaced to make them easy opening and self-closing, making them updated and a pleasure to use. All of the particle board shelves were replaced with updated wooden shelves making them sturdier and far better appearing. The under-the-sink shelves had previously been modified for wheelchair access. We wanted to restore the full under-the-sink cabinets to their normal full size. This required a good deal of planning and attention to detail. We were well pleased with the result of the restoration, although we are waiting a few weeks for the stain to reach its endpoint color before it is adjusted to better match the existing shelves.

Kevin is a perfectionist ( in a good way). He cares very much about the quality of his work. My cabinet was large and intricately designed with many detailed parts and pieces. Kevin made it look like new again. He is pleasant and hardworking.

Kevin did a great job of repairing and rebuilding our lower cabinets in the kitchen due to water damage. He touched up doors and frames with the same color and refinished them with a clear coat. As some of the drawers were damaged, he proposed new drawers with plywood at a reasonable price. He also installed everything under the granite counter. Kevin was responsive, friendly and on time. I really enjoyed working with him and highly recommend him.

Kevin is a real artisan. He matched the doors on the newly made cabinet perfectly with the much older existing cabinets. I would recommend him without hesitation or reservation. He is a highly skilled cabinet maker.

Extremely pleased with the results. Soft close doors and drawers with Maple interior. Artistic thinking in creating space, accessibility, and esthetics. Corners of drawers, doors and hardware are all installed evenly. Created a special pull out drawer of odd configuration for under the sink and a roll top appliance garage. A true craftsman.

I am beyond thrilled with the work that Kevin did installing custom shelving in our living room. The quality of his workmanship is absolutely outstanding and he was able to match the stain of the shelves perfectly to that of our current furniture. He was a pleasure to work with and was very professional, I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again on future projects.

Talked to the owner, told me to call back next week and for three weeks he told me the same thing. Finally he said he might be free to come give me an estimate and listed 3 days, to call back next week (week 4 of calling). He never answered the phone or my messages.

We purchased a condo and completed a gut and total remodel. We were excited about finally moving in and emptying personal-item boxes into our closet. Our first carpenter, however, was a no-show. Kevin was recommended by our painter, so we called Kevin immediately. Lucky day for us! He was immediately responsive, and we reviewed our tentative plans with him. During our remodel phase, we combined two smaller closets into one larger one, so there were design issues to overcome. Kevin did not fail us. We presented our initial ideas to him. He offered us material and color options and suggested some design changes to compensate for the not-so-straight walls. Once the frabrication was complete, Kevin worked diligently. He laid material to cover our new flooring and kept his work area clean. We are thrilled with our new cabinets and highly recommend Kevin. We have already contacted him for additional work. Kevin did exactly what I needed to have done -- reconfigured entire unit, which involved changing dimensions of open areas and shelf areas. (Prior to reconfiguration, the area would only accommodate a 40-inch TV, which was unacceptable to me.) Fabricated a panel to hide component wires and power strips. Refinished entire unit with high-gloss paint over stained wood, using very high quality enamel to withstand heavy use. Kevin was very professional and respectful of my possessions, always being sure to protect areas adjacent to the work area. The work was performed on time and at a very reasonable cost.

The remodel went extremely well. He did what was asked of him and added many suggestions that I used. He was very creative and filled all my needs. He built and replaced and laminated counters and shelving as well as painted, never interfering with business as usual. He was very reliable and very prompt. Communication was great!! All issues were discussed and handled to my satisfaction. The cost was within his initial estimate which was below 90% of the estimates that I got Andy work was exquisite. I remodel every five years and will be using him again and I will recommend him to anyone who needs his service done.

Kevin Arst, the owner, work with us to transform our 1970s era kitchen addition to our 1920s home into a period correct showpiece of cabinetry and millwork craftsmanship. He bent over backwards to make our ideas a reality. Not the least expensive, but clearly a craftsman worth the price.

He was professional, arrived on time, and worked hard to get the job done on time and on budget. He even worked with me on some additions I wanted to make on the project, adding a shelving system next to the murphy bed. Great guy to work with, and I'll be calling him back for any future carpentry work.
