A month after I had my concrete counters installed, which were done very nicely, I asked Mike to come out and redo some of the counters which had some serious stains on them. He had asked me not to put water on the counter for a while, but being a kitchen counter, it's nearly impossible...I did however, keep water off for the first week. Mike came out, after a few reminders, and redid them, but they were soon staining again. He mentioned back then that he didn't know of a good top coat that would completely repel stains. I just lived with these stains, thinking there was nothing that could be done, which looked aweful as they were white against the earthy green counter. I later heard from someone, that I should have put some kind of wax on to repel water. I contacted Mike this last August 2010 to tell him they were completely stained and needed to be redone and asked about the wax. He said he'd come over and take a look. A few weeks later he came over to take a look, and said he would be back in a few more weeks to fix them, that he was busy but would get back to me. It's now been 2 months without word from him. I don't think he's coming over to fix them. I am just very disappointed with my counters as that was a lot of money to me. Mike is a very nice person but seems very unprofessional as far as his business goes. His word does not mean much to him and therefore does not mean much to me unfortunately. I will now have to redo the counters with another contractor.
