GOLDEN STATE LEAK DETECTION

I attempted to resolve my concerns with the company. We originally had them out to detect leaks, prior to home purchase. There were existing putty patches. No new leaks were detected. We purchased the house, later to find out that another company found additional cracks. Golden State offered to repair the found crack with a temporary putty patch. The patch was substandard and washed nearly all the way off. When asked what they used, he said it was a known repair patch for pools. My primary complaint was this company did not set foot in my pool. All "detection" was surface. They should have gotten in the water and leak tested with dye. We would not have purchased this home if we knew the additional amount of cracks present.

I called Golden State and left a message. They got back to me almost immediately and scheduled the service for the next day. They arrived on time and found the leak quickly and repaired it. The next day I discovered the pool was still losing water, but not as much, and called them back. Once again they responded promptly and found another leak which they also repaired at no extra charge. I was very happy with the service.

It went great even though no repair work was done. He even called and talked to the spa company to get some details, did a quick evaluation and didn't notice anything obviously wrong. Then he suggested some experiments to try. All at no charge. Will definitely recommend them and use them again if we have a problem (which, ultimately we didn't).

He was very skillful in splicing in a new piece of pipe, and it's held up fine since he came out. I'd definitely use him again and recommend him to others!

Our backyard swimming pool was in need of care. It had been about 15 years since we had had it painted. We called Eric Bacca from Tropics Pool and Spa for an estimate. Eric made an appointment with us and was able to come the same day. We had a lot of questions about re-painting vs. re-plastering as we weren't sure which way was the way to go. We gave Eric all the concerns we had and he said he would do some research and get back with us. He did give us a quote for re-painting and his estimate was very fair. The next day, Eric called to let us know what he found, that in our case, we would be better served by re-plastering our pool rather that just repainting it. Eric's company does not do re-plastering but he gave us the names of 2 companies that he would recommend for a quote. We called both companies and had them out for estimates. We chose one and they did a great job for us. We really appreciate Eric's honesty and the very ethical way he does business. By doing the best for us, he lost the sale, but not our respect and appreciation! We would recommend Eric and Tropics Pool and Spa to anyone looking for an honest, ethical company to take care of your pool needs. We were very impressed. Thank you again Eric!

Great service

Eric is terrific! He arrives on time every week and is very conscientious about keeping everything working well. The pool has never looked better since I hired Eric! He keeps me informed about possible problems and ways to remedy them. He is reasonably priced as well. I would highly recommend Eric.

I've been using them for a couple of months now. I think they're really good. I had to search around a little bit to find a real company that was going to work for me and they worked out so far.

They do a really good service. They usually come out Friday morning, but they are very consistent. They are on the lower side of the price. I have been using them for over 2 1/2 years and they were very open for negotiation. There was a lot of motivation for getting my business. They are very reliable, dependable, and honest which is really a nice concept. They really don't do anything that makes you uncomfortable. They really do a thorough job. I have absolutely no problems with them. They troubleshoot and will do everything as if it was their own spa. Their price is very competitive. It was really just a great service. They are very professional.
