They got to it right away and it was very nice; I bought it from them and they installed it right away even though they were really busy. I have always liked them; they are friendly and they get the job done. I took the tow ball to them and they did the job for free, it was really nice. I would use them again in the future if I needed to.

I rented a truck from this facility at 2:14pm on 11/17/08, for in-town use (moving some boxes to a storage unit). The truck's fuel tank was 5/8 full and I was expected to return at the same level. The proposed costs were $19.95 for rental, plus .89 cents per mile, refueling, and a small cost for the environmental fee and taxes. After completing the move, I refilled the tank at 8:08pm, and because it was difficult to determine when the gauge would hit 5/8, I ended up putting in a little extra gas (9.279 gallons), which made it 3/4 full. My family and I drove directly from the gas station to the U-HAUL facility a few minutes later. The office had just been locked, but the open sign was still lit and the lights were on. A woman and two men were behind a gate to the right of the entrance door, talking and hosing off equipment. The woman called to me and told me to park the truck in a space directly across from where they were working, and to place the keys in the night drop next to the entrance. I locked the cab and did as she asked, leaving the truck in their parking lot directly in their line of vision. On Friday 11/21, I checked my account and discovered I was charged the following at 9:07am the following morning: Rental: $19.95, Mileage: $19.31 ($0.89 x 21.7 mi), Environmental Fee: $1.00, Tax: $3.53, Fuel: $130.00, Total: $173.79. They had originally authorized an estimate of up to $75 on my credit card. My total should have been $43.79. The addition of $130 for fuel pushed my credit card over its limit, and so my bank penalized me by increasing my finance charges and posting an overlimit fee of $35. I called the office to find out why I received the additional charges, and was told that the gas tank was empty. Apparently the area has a high crime rate, and someone had siphoned off the gas overnight. Rodney Polk advised me that they would not remove the gas charges because I was responsible for the truck until they opened the office in the morning. It was my fault that someone siphoned the gas from the tank, despite the on-site employees who were clearly on the clock and could have brought the truck in behind the gates, and regardless of the facilities choice not to have locking gas tanks. The matter-of-fact response to my situation makes me believe that this is a common occurrence, and that they have no problem passing the costs of stolen fuel on to their customers. My costs for in-town rental of this vehicle, with the money I spent on gas, their charges and my bank s fees ended up being $229.19. Not an economical way to move a few boxes out of my garage. They apparently are not swayed by my argument, or even copies of my gas receipt with time and date of purchase. I do not recommend renting from U-HAUL, and particularly not at this facility. I give them an "F" for poor customer service and overcharging.
