He was fabulous from beginning to end offering good ideas, advice and insight. One section of floor turned out to be cement offering a lot of problems and he handled it very well and made the project a total success.
Description of Work: Refinished existing hardwood floors and replaced carpet with new floors to match house.

I have had him complete a couple of jobs for me. He has been doing this kind of work for a long time. He really seems to know what he is doing and does a good job. He is very straight forward and honest with you. There are no suprises and I appreciate that.
Description of Work: He came and refinished my floors and also did some trem work. Some boards were uneven so he took some boards and replaced them. He also stained the floors and did about 3 or 4 coats.

Everything went extremely well. They started first with the hallway and bedroom, which is really my office. I wanted that done first because I wanted to be able to move furniture back in and do work in my office. They first removed the carpet, then cleaned up the underlying hardwood floor, then put on the padding and the new floor. After that, baseboards were added. The family room was done next. We had cleared out all the office furniture ourselves, but for the family room, they moved everything to one side first, worked on the emptied floor, then moved things to the other side and worked the other half. The work also included carpet removal, touching up the underlying concrete, then putting on flooring and baseboards. Dan has an amazing attention to detail. He's very careful with surface preparation and with the finishing touches in the baseboard and trim work.
Description of Work: The Floor Works installed floating engineered flooring in my family room, one bedroom, and a hallway in my home on the peninsula. The total area was close to 600 sq. ft. The price shown covered mainly the installation because I had purchased the flooring separately. The Floor Works arranged the purchase but it was billed separately. The work included removing the carpet in all the rooms and installing baseboards.. The bedroom and hallway have hardwood underneath and the family room has a concrete slab. This actually the 3rd job performed by The Floor Works for me.

They were on time, there were no surprises, and it was a pleasure doing business with them. And the finished product is beautiful.
Description of Work: The Floor Works did a great job. They first had to remove all the furniture to the basement, then stripped, sanded, and stained the hardwood floors in the entryway, living room, and dining room. They had to patch some areas and match the trim, which was done perfectly. They also had to work around my grand piano, which I was a little nervous about, but everything was perfect. Oh, and they also had to deal once with my nasty neighbors, which they did with professionism and grace. I love my floors and would recommend The Floor Works to anyone.

Everything was done on time and with consideration for me and my cats. Dan Classen answered all of my questions and he and his team were great to work with. I couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: The Floor Works refinished my hardwood floors in my 1914 home. This included the living room, dining room, entry way and closet, and the bottom step of the stairs. They removed the furniture (except for the grand piano, which they worked around - without leaving any grooves in the floor); taped off everything so the dust was contained, sanded the floors, replaced and repaired a section where an old heater had been, and refinished them so they looked brand new. They then returned to replace the furniture.
