He's very reasonable. He was a plumber foreman for a well established east bay plumbing company. He had never gotten around to getting his license because he didn't need it. He's one of those guys who gets stuff done and he's master plumber. He's just a single guy, but he does good work and he can explain to you what's going on, what you should and shouldn't do.

I needed someone for a shower repair on short notice and Steve answered the call almost immediately. He was polite and friendly and professional. When (as I had already feared) the job turned out to be bigger than it superficially appeared, Steve REARRANGED HIS SCHEDULE to help me out by my deadline (the arrival of guests). He showed up when he said he would (even called when he was on his way). He priced the job accurately. Worked efficiently and finished the job right on time. Radiated the kind of responsibility and trust that made me instantly comfortable having a stranger in my home. Seriously, of how many contractors -- even good ones! -- can all of this be said? In my experience, if you need a plumber, you shouldn't hesitate to call Steve Lipton.
