I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it went really well. I thought the guy was very professional and he did a good job. He was prompt as well. He did have some supply fee for the couple of little things that he used, and that was may be a little questionable. The price was fine for the special deal. I would use him again in the future if I get the special deal for it.

Lady who made the appointment was friendly, helpful. The guys showed up on time (called to say they'd be a little late, but arrived during the stated window). They did a good job and were genuinely nice to deal with.

From start to finish this company was excellent! This was the fourth company I called that day. All others were booked for the next 4 to 6 weeks. I was so surprised when the person on the phone said, "Yes, we service your area. What time is best for you?" I said, "Today?" I almost fell off my chair! They set up a time, sent a handyman out, and I had everything completed in three hours. I would definitely recommend them. The representative who came, Wilbert, was punctual, experienced, polite, and very professional. He did a wonderful job!

This man was a former carpenter on new home building. very good and knew how to solve the problems I had with warped doors and unframed windows (new) The window installer forgot to frame. or simply neglected to do it. He was excellent and I will call him again.

They came in and did what they said they would do. They were punctual and friendly. I would most definitely reccomend them.

Four repairs in three hours for a very reasonable amount. You can't beat that. Pleasant, knowledgeable staff. I will definitely call them again when I need help with repairs or remodeling.

I had a pleasant experience with them. Very professional, arrived on time and completed the job to perfection. It did take some co-ordination with the office to finalize a date for the service, but over all, we were happy with the results and I look forward to getting more done through them!

appt. set up between 8-9. No show, no call, nothing. update 1 hour after appt. time. received a call but he was unaware that I even had an appt. set up for today, said he had to call the office.

Had Mr Fix it Handyman Services and Construction come and do some minor work around the house. I was very pleased with the gentleman that came to do the work. He was very cooperative and pleasant. I supplied the materials needed for the work performed. He replaced exterior trim on large window above my garage, installed gutter guards and repaired some boards in the fence that had come off. The price was more than fair for what I paid. I had estimate from someone else for the trim and it was $200.00. I do believe I got a great deal With the Big Deal Purchase.

We did have a bit of telephone tag to connect, but they were very responsive in terms of setting up a time to come out as well as follow up call to check up on the service performed. The repairman came out when promised, and was very professional. They did all the repairs in a high quality fashion and cleaned up the areas afterwards. I was very pleased with the work and how I was treated, and would definitely use this service again.

The head foreman, Carlyle, was very professional and I feel based on the time-frame it took them to do the work and the quality of finish, I would use them again for future projects.

When the handyman arrived he expected to have the materials available to do this work, while the information on the Big Deal only said that I would have to pay for the materials. Even when they arranged for a day/time to do the work, no one asked if they needed to help me obtain the materials or if I had them. So, the handyman showed up unprepared to help me obtain materials and the "boss" indicated that he would likely have to use much of the 3 hours of time I had paid for just to travel to my place and then obtain materials. In other words, they wanted to have me spend my money on travel rather than work. This left me totally without recourse, as I wouldn't need handyman help if I could obtain and install doors and flooring material. This firm is not professional or resolution driven; rather I see them trying to rip off the unsuspecting Angie's List member who desperately needs good help. Don't use them unless you want disappointment.

Mr Fix it was supposed to show up at 9AM and was an hour late. He began in the bathroom and textured the bathroom wall but did not mask off anything so the texture went all over the new shower, new tile, inside the shower, on the floor. It was a mess. Texturing took about an hour. I needed to lower the opening of a hall closet door 4' inches to accomodate shorter doors. It took Mr Fix it 4 hours to attach two 2X4 and some drywall to accomodate. I had just installed new carpet and again no drop cloth or any precautions were taken to be respectful of my home. The floating out of the drywall to match the existing wall was not done properly. There was drywall mud all over my new carpet, the doors were not mounted properly. I had to have someone else come two days later to finish the job. Very unprofessional attitude. When I spoke with Carlyle about it he claimed I made his worker nervous by checking on him every 45 minutes or so. He was going to come out and review the job but could not find the time to see what a mess is worker made. He did stop by the job and made no attempt to instruct his worker to be neater. After 5 hours, when it was clear Mr Fix it had no idea what they were doing and kept making more of a mess and not able to do the job, I sent him home. The WORST workmanship I have seen. Mr Fix it would do nothing to help resolve the issue. He would not return my calls.

Over all went very well from the time the handyman arrived on time until he finished well within the timeline.

I had a deadline to meet in getting the balance of the ex-tenants deposit returned to them and "MR. FIX IT" helped me meet that deadline.

Carlyle at Mr. Fixit Handyman was quick to respond to my request for an estimate and was able to come out the next day to look at the project first hand. I wanted to convert a bonus room into a fifth bedroom by adding a door, closet, and a short portion of non-weight-bearing wall. He required a little more than 50% payment up front and the rest upon completion of the job. He arranged the inspections with the city and his men came in to do the work. Unfortunately, we ran into a problem during the first inspection. There was an electrical panel on the wall where the new closet was built. This did not pass inspection, so Carlyle and his men shortened the closet so that the electrical panel would be outside of it. We split the cost of the additional work, and his men did a good job of quickly making the repairs before the final building inspection. Overall, the work was done professionally and on-time (the closet repair took an additional day). The price he charged was also reasonable and in-line with his initial estimate. I would definitely use his services again for any small construction projects that I need to complete in the future.
