Description of Work: First, there was a communication problem with the office staff. She did not catch my instruction that the work was to be performed at a different location than my home. So, while I was at the worksite, the worker showed up at my home. An hour or so later it was straightened out. Then the closet installation had some issues that I ended up having the solution for. The second installation did not get done because the handyman said there were more parts needed plus a plumbing issue that would cost additionally. So, basically, I paid $99 to have holes drilled into slab with a masonry bit.

Description of Work: 1) Difficulty scheduling - after 2 weeks? of trying to schedule them, I was informed this week they would service Angie's List customers on "Wednesdays only". I didn't sign up for that. 2) they requested to come in and "submit a bid for the job" and "see if the angies list discount can be applied to the bid". 3) the handyman I spoke to started to complain about the whole Angie's List situation. they clearly don't want to live up to the terms of the deal. and I don't want a company that isn't excited about providing a good service inside my home. 4) allison, the receptionist/scheduler was extremely friendly and understanding. but she isn't the decision maker. Thank you for your understanding. I would appreciate a refund of this deal.

Description of Work: Called to set up a appointment to look at job , that took longer than expected when they did call and said they are coming to do job , I said butt no body has come to look at job I would like something else done at the same time in the same place ( install a attic fan ) ok I think the owner showed up we look at job , sounded good , then waited again finally they called and said they had a fan to install, I called them back and said butt where is the quote and what about the flashing that I originally called about , they said they did not know about that and would get back to me , tired of waiting , I am going to look for some one else There where other calls in between forget all details

Description of Work: July 20th I purchased the service and was told by Angie's List, I would hear with 3 days from the service provider. I did not hear and received an email from Angie's List as to whether or not I had heard from them. I said no and Angie's List said they would get to them to have them contact me. As of July 29th, I have still not heard and am not confident that they will provide the service if they can't contact in the rime they were suppose to. Although I filled in approximate date of last contact, I never had contact with the provider.

Description of Work: replace fencing

Description of Work: I wanted a light fixture in the stairwell changed. The ceiling is about 14' above the landing. The company said that they would need to rent a ladder and that it would take 2 people to change the light fixture. They also thought it would take more the 3 man hours purchased in the Big Deal. I can't imagine how it could take 2 people an hour and half to change 1 light fixture.

Description of Work: We recently purchased a big deal for three consecutive hours of handy man work with Mr. Fix It: order number: Handymen-653654-1. Our appointment for three hours of work was scheduled for today at 2:30. By 3:30, no one had shown up. I left a message with the company inquiring about Mr. Fix It's arrival. No on returned my phone call but at 5PM, two men came to my door and said they were with Mr. Fix It. At this point they were three hours late and I had waited all afternoon for them. I would not like to reschedule with them, and would prefer a refund. They are not trustworthy.

Description of Work: I calles the service and they responded within 1.5 hrs which was great. I needed a built in microwave installed. He assessed what needed to be done and the install was done in avery timely manner at a great price. I forgot their names but the 2 gentlemen that did the install were very courteous and professional and brought all the tools needed for the job. I would highly recommend this company and they are my new handyman for any other jobs I may need done in the future.

Description of Work: Carlyle was professional, came on time and got the job done. He gave me a quote on the phone and came out the next day to get it done.
