Description of Work: I was not satisfied with this provider. I had difficulty scheduling an appointment because they were not very responsive to me. When I finally went to the location, I spent a lot of time selecting fabrics for my chair and ottoman. She let me bring swatches home to preview. After selecting the swatch and calling to get an estimate, she told me that the fabric was discontinued. Why was the swatch even displayed in the store? I thought her pricing was too high and they don't pick up or deliver the pieces. You have to contract with another vendor for that or rent a truck. It was not worth it after I added up the costs, which was close to the value of the pieces (a french bergere chair and ottoman). Additionally, she was not very personable to deal with.

 + -1 moreThe fabric I chose was a print -- I couldn't find what I wanted at first so they brought me boxes of remnants and I found just the perfect fabric for the remnant price. They couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The upholstery job was incredible especially with such a tricky print. It is apparent that the upholsterer put a lot of thought into just how to center certain features in the pattern and matched the pattern beautifully on the cushion. I am very pleased and they are now upholstering my couch and I will be bringing in another chair!

 + -1 moreThe recliner was a $3,500 chair ten years ago and they completely refinished and rehabilitated it. The recliner has a distinct style. It is made out of wood with leather. I hauled the chair to their shop and what stood out to me about the service that they did for me was the quality of the work.
Description of Work: I used Kay Chesterfield Inc. about six weeks ago for repairing and refinishing a Stickley recliner for me.

 + 0 moreLee was charming and responsive and the work was done quickly and very well. There was one small issue that they volunteered to correct free of charge, which was great. they definitely know what they are doing.
Description of Work: I had an old club chair and ottoman that had definitely seen better days. Lee helped me find suitable new fabric and now they look great.

 + 0 moreI contacted Lee Martin at Kay Chesterfield. They came to my home and presented me with a written estimate for each piece of furniture. They let me know when I could expect the delivery of the furniture. They arranged for the pick-up of each piece of furniture and returned the pieces either on or before the estimated time. They are the only firm use to re-upholster my furniture.
Description of Work: Over the past year they have Re-upholstered antique sofa, a wing chair, 3 antique chairs, 6 dining room dining room chairs

 + 0 moreThey were very good in consulting with us about the appropriate kind of fabric. We were looking for a kind of fabric that we would be able to clean easily. They were really helpful in terms of bringing out a number of sample fabrics. I wanted them to replicate the seat cushions identically and they were helpful in terms of doing that. They kept me up to date all the time even then there were delays. They were pretty reasonably priced too.
