Description of Work: I purchased the Custom Bathroom Design with Measurements and Plans, and essentially received a PROPOSAL/ ESTIMATE for work. I received a crude drawing, and this was only after requesting it from the contractor (he initially did not offer one, then offered a hand drawn one while at my house). There was NO reference to BATH design, NO reference to Cabinet design, NO reference to Tile design, and NO reference to Lighting design. Additionally, none of these topics were discussed during the visit (except for tile, which I brought up). ALL THESE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE INCLUDED. The contractor initially denied that these were to be included. After I sent him the terms of what I paid for, they sent a revised drawing with some electrical work drawn in. I want a refund for this "Big Deal", as the attached drawing is FAR from worth $750, or even what I paid - $75.

+ 2 moreThey were very pleasant to work with and they did the work very quickly. They moved all the furniture and things out of the way. We painted the wall which have always been white with colors for the first time and we are finding places where the paint is chipping off the wall and that's the only thing that we are a little disappointed and that may have been our selection of the colors rather than the quality of the work. They have been very responsive about coming back when there were any places that we noticed that hadn't gotten painted and they also fixed the cracks that had opened up in some places without charging us.
Description of Work: We have used Best Value Home Improvements. They repainted the inside of our house and redid our floor. They also fixed a roof leak.

They met my timelines and I could not find any problems at all with their work. And I used to paint houses myself. I was very impressed with the work of the crew that was provided overall. Never made any mess and cleaned up every day. I still cannot believe the quality of service I got on this house painting job.

They were pleasant to deal with, listened to my concerns, and were flexible about adjustments to the initial plan - I decided some wood should be replaced that hadn't been initially ticked for replacement. The work was completed while I had to be out of town, and upon my return I was very pleased with the result.
Description of Work: The rain-rotted railings and supporting columns for an open porch at my front door had to be replaced, refaced and painted. The roof over the porch had been flat and collected water. BVHI's carpenter, Sasha, rebuilt this roof with a little slant and recovered it with composite shingles and appropriate flashing.

+ -1 moreThe person making the estimate was polite and knowledgeable. The work start date was delayed one week but we were kept informed of the change. The workmen were polite, skilled, and responsive to suggestions. They completed their work in two days. A problem developed with one of the folding doors that was promptly fixed to our satisfaction two days later. No questions asked.
Description of Work: 1) Replaced external door & threshold 2) Structural modification to laundry room to allow folding doors to close. Our new front-loading washer and dryer did not fit in the existing space and were exposed to the family room.
