Aurora Painting & Decorating

We requested estimates from four painting contractors before selecting Aurora Painting & Decorating to paint our exterior and a few interior rooms. Aurora’s pricing was a little higher than the average pricing from all of the estimates, but we really felt that the value was above and beyond the other contractors. The crew was amazing and very professional, arriving promptly in the morning and keeping our grounds and landscaping clean at the end of each day. The crew really seemed engaged with our project and this is a very noticeable quality when you have worked with other contractors that seem uninterested in the client or the client’s project. Aurora was also able to set up a meeting with a color consultant for the project and, fortunately, they are also connected to an excellent carpenter – our house had some serious wood dry rot issues that needed to be addressed during the work. The carpenter (Antonio) was equally amazing and was able to handle all of the dry rot issues before the painting was completed. Dean was very helpful with explaining each phase of the work, answering all of our many questions, and connecting with the crew (and us) if there were additional questions or concerns. A number of our neighbors have used Aurora Painting over the years and we are happy to have found them. We plan to recommend them highly to our friends and hope to have them back to complete the rest of our interior. It all happened over one weekend. They did a great job!

Aurora Painting and Decorating is excellent.

It was fabulous. He did a great job. I believe that I won't have to have it repainted for quite a while.

From setting up the appointment to making the estimate to our last communication about putting table and chairs back on the completed deck (which took a few days post-completion to cure), Dean was very responsive. The painters, led by Jose, were professional, on time, and polite and always cleaned up after a day's work. They also did a meticulous job on painting our house and worked with me when they needed access to the house.

It was fabulous! They finished in about 6 weeks. The workers really worked hard and were neat, clean, and respectful. They never felt intrusive. They were amazing. All the work they do, is spectacular. You can actually drive down the street and distinguish the houses they painted versus other companies.

Did not use because fee too high. Please note that I do not recollect the exact estimate, only that it was in the range listed, and very high.

They are very knowledgeable in handling the issues. They also referred me to a carpenter who did a great job repairing some rot and other things in the house where they painted it, in and out with their crew, did the job and it was great, did it on time, and on budget. The price was way low and I knew the quality wouldn't be that high. There was a couple of problem which we discovered after they left so we called them up and they came right out and fixed it up.

Aurora is great and Dean is extremely easy to work with. We used them about twelve years ago for the exterior of the house and went back to them for the interior of the house. They recommended a color consultant who came up with great color choices. The painters were on time every day, extremely professional, and cleaned up the site each evening. We were living in the house, and I was working at home some days so we appreciated their professionalism. The walls and boldings were extremely well prepared for the paint. Aurora's bids are on the high side, but you get what you pay for. The 12-year-old exterior paint still looks great -- while our neighbors have painted their house twice in that same period. We would unconditionally recommend Aurora to anyone who is looking for a quality painter.

They were pretty professional. The quote was way more than I was expecting, but they were in line with the other quotes.

Aurora's is very professional. The owner advised me on the different glosses/finishes to use in certain rooms of the condo. Overall the painters did an excellent job. Just a couple of small details were missed. I requested the heating registers and screws be removed and painted separately. The kitchen window trim needed a more thorough painting to camouflage the old carpentry work. This is when dropping in to check the job would have been good but it's not always possible. Dean and his painters are extremely trustworthy. I was able to use an Angle's List 5% off coupon offered by Aurora.

They were very good. They were punctual and very professional. The gentleman that owns the company came out to the house and it turned out that I needed more services than his company normally provides. I needed some construction work done and since they don’t do that I did not use their company. If it had been simply painting the house thing I would have gone with them.

They were very, very good. They were extremely thorough and did great-quality work. There were no drips. One of the guys tried to fix up a problem another painter had left in the doorway.
