+ -1 moreI called & he said he is retired so why is he wasting our time by being on Angie's list? He did give me a reference to call but that didn't account for my waiting all day for him to call me back. He also said if he did still work, he wouldn't go into atick to look for possible damage? What kind of contractor is that. He said he'd have to pay someone to come with him to do that. Isn't that what he's supposed to do so a correct & complete bid can be written?

+ 0 moreHe was prompt even though called at the last minute and he came after a full day's work elsewhere. Hung the doors. In one case the rough opening was smaller than professionally usual, but John Krick was able to hang the door plumb.

+ 1 moreThis contractor bid on our original job. When we called him for help, he could have given us the brush off and say he didn't want to be involved. But despite his busy schedule, he came to put 3 doors in for us after a long physical day of work, just one day after the contractor we hired walked off.
Description of Work: When our contractor, hired to do a $100,000 remodel, walked off the unfinished job, John Krick came on short notice to hang 3 doors on our home giving our home addition some protection from the elements and animals as we try to move foward. John will also be putting in a header in a bedroom remodel which our contractor left undone for almost 2 months.

+ -1 moreThe gentleman knows what he is talking about. He pretty much works alone, unless it is a larger job, but mine was a smaller one. He showed up on time, and did what he said he would do. I have called or E-mailed him in the past to ask questions, and he always responded. The price was good, as I think I got good quality. It wasn't a masterpiece, but what he did works great. I would use this provider again.

+ 2 moreGreat communication, and the best thing is you don't pick out a carpet color from a board and same with your tile. You actually go into a carpet warehouse, a tile showroom, a glass store...etc. and pick out everything with a person that knows exactly what too say and can answer all of your questions on the spot. I have 3 kids, so they really catered too us, they brought samples too us if I couldn't make it too the shop or they picked out fixtures for us if we didn't have the time. Overall our experience was ideal, absolutely no problems occured throuhout the construction, very pleased.
Description of Work: After purchasing a large home in Discovery Bay, we needed a contractor that could do a lot of work in a little time. The entire upstairs needed new carpet and both bathrooms, Master and hall needed new tile, toilets and showers. For $20K JH Krick Construction (In a little over two weeks) made both of our bathrooms look as if they belonged in magazines, the work was flawless. The tile company they use, Tile Impressions has a gifted designer...Deanna she loves what she does and does amazing work. She will maximize your allowance and then hand the job over too the two best tile setters in the state of California! I really can't say enough about this company, we've used them before and had the same result. The master bathroom has tile throughout and the shower is tiled in horizontal rows all the way up to the ceiling. In a few rows their are glass and tile accents and a tile seat installed. A custom heavy glass door with two grab bars were installed and two water sprays/spouts for a spa effect, love it! The same goes for the hall bath, complete custom tiled shower with gorgeous accents and a custom glass door, this one is a single stand alone shower. Diagonal laid tile on the floors and entire upgraded carpet and pad thorughout. Three toilets (ADA) installed, dishwasher installed... All of the tear down and hall away is included as well. If you are on a budget, these guys will give you the best for your money and really work with you.
