Guy and his team were great! He was kind, very detail oriented, explained things full (which we needed and appreciated) and there weren't any surprise fees or costs for things. We will 100% use Guy again for our next project.

Excellent from start to finish! Guy Liba is a master project manager. His estimate was reasonable. The potential overages he spelled out in the contract due to the walls I wanted taken down and the beams that needed to be inserted in the ceiling were also reasonable. His team are a great bunch. They left the space picked up throughout the reno. He is very on schedule which allowed me to plan for ordering items I wanted and not overpaying or feeling rushed. This is the fifth renovation of a property I have done and Paragon is hands down the best contracting company I have worked with.

Great company. Guy Liba is the owner of Paragon Builders and he is terrific. He has a great team. They work quickly and efficiently and Guy was always available to meet-usually the same day I called. He is a great listener, problem solver AND very kind to boot. They put in new walls and ceilings, gave us a new kitchen, new en suite principal bedroom/bathroom, re-did all of our wood floors, painted the entire inside of the main house and guesthouse, refurbished our magnesite floor in the enclosed porch (which was a huge job) and replaced windows. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things. I would recommend this company highly.

Paragon Builders exhibited superb workmanship A to Z. Brick laying is an art form and the company found vintage bricks to match our 1920s home. We highly recommend this company.

Guy Liba was great to work with. He dealt with the City of Burbank for all permits, and Burbank can be tricky and difficult. He made sure each step of the process went smoothly. Not only were we very happy with the workmanship, but also the price, which was much more reasonable than another quote from a highly recommended contractor. But what really stood out was Guy's desire to make sure we were happy and satisfied--AND WE ARE! Thank you!

Guy and his team came in to remodel our bathroom over the past few months, and did a fantastic job all round. We’ll definitely be working with them again on our other projects, and recommending them to friends and neighbors. Our existing bathroom was essentially a complete teardown, so we had sourced three quotes. Paragon came in second place for cost, but I’m absolutely convinced they were the correct choice. During the quoting phase, there was no sales pressure, and it was clear that Guy had an attention for detail and doing things the right way. He pointed out that he would insist on using the best techniques (floating cement over lath for the new shower, all copper plumbing etc.) and not cut corners. During the actual remodel, Guy was available via text and phone, and visited every workday, usually twice a day to check on progress. Guy was also very helpful in managing expectations with our condo’s homeowners association and neighbors. I’m the sort of person that tends to ask a lot of questions, and I’m generally interested in the process, and Guy took the time to answer everything I asked. He set up and managed all of the permits and inspections, and was onsite for each of the inspections. Guy’s team all have the same work ethic, making sure to do things right the first time. Having had a relatively bad experience during a previous remodel, working with Paragon was a breath of fresh air. Remodeling is never stress free, but I think Paragon is about as close as you’re going to get :)

I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. Guy and his crew were consummate professionals who completed this project to spec. I have a contemporary styled home and needed a storage unit built to match (smooth coat stucco, steel roof, etc.) Guy came out and provided me with a novel design that maximized space and minimized cost. During construction, Guy stopped by daily to monitor the project status. If any questions or concerns came up while he wasn't there, he promptly responded via phone or text within an hour. I would highly recommend Paragon Builders for any project.

Guy Liba at Paragon Builders just completed our master bathroom remodel. This was the second large remodel we used them for. From beginning to end, the project went smoothly and professionally, as we had both expected and hoped for. Not only did Guy’s team do a professional job on the labor, but Guy helped me with the design. Guy worked with me to figure out the best way to make sure all of the tile styles I had selected at the tile store perfectly coordinated. Not only that, in order to make sure that they would fit together seamlessly, he cut the marble tiles to fit my glass tiles width. The tile work is impeccable. This took a lot of extra effort, but he was willing to go out of the way to make sure it was perfect. He also helped me with dimensions of other parts of the shower. In addition, there was an existing cabinet that he searched for special soft-close hinges, again to make my bathroom the retreat it is. And, as there are always a few tweaks and fixes at the end of a complex project, Guy happily jumped in and took care of everything. This is truly the spa bathroom that I waited years to have. I walk in every morning excited to look at this beautiful room and bathe in my amazing new shower. I don’t know when we’ll do another remodel, but most certainly, we’ll call on Guy when the time comes.

We are extremely satisfied with the results of Guy and his crew's excellent work. All aspects of the project from the initial estimate to its completion (which was ahead of schedule) were clearly presented by Guy. The workers were diligent and careful.

Excellent - we could not be more pleased with how the work turned out. Working with Guy and the Paragon team was very easy, and they showed great patience as we figured out some tricky detailing. We selected a unique wrought iron trellis for our wall openings, and the Paragon team helped us figure out how to install these and accomplish the look we were going for. We would wholeheartedly recommend Paragon, and will use them again for our next project.

Guy was a true gem to work with! I had read some of the reviews and liked what was said and he did not disappoint! I wanted a professional company at a fair price and I needed the work done ASAP as my 88 year old mother is nearly blind and I am worried about her safety in her home. Guy came, did an assessment and walk through and had a quote to me within two days. He had two of his team members come to do the job and he even showed up to check the work, which I thought was really great since it was a fairly small job for him. I like that he knew how important it is for us to make sure our aging parents can feel safe in their own home. I was glad the job happened so quickly as I had great concerns about a potential fall for my mother. I would highly recommend Guy and his team. Very professional and efficient. As a woman who has run her own business for over 20 years, I really appreciate professionalism is business dealings and Guy is a testament to that!

We hired Paragon Builders to remodel several units in our apartment building and our experience with went as well as I could have hoped. Their team was always on-time, respectful of our tenants, professional and reasonably priced compared to all the other bids we received. We had such a great experience with Paragon that we have continued hiring them for all other items that come up on this property and have referred them to friends. I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest reasonably priced contractor.

We rate Paragon Builders 11 on a scale of 10! Last year they added a bathroom to our home in west L.A. The proposal was reasonable and fair, and the workmanship was first-rate in every category. Adding an entire room to the back of our house entailed every aspect of building and they completed it beautifully, skipping no corners. Guy Liba and partner, Haim Gavrieli, were on the job daily, kept us informed of progress, stayed on budget and finished on time. We have an older home and they were also able to help us in other areas that needed work. My husband and I trust them completely and were thrilled to ask them back this year to remodel our kitchen. That remodel is going on now, and we're equally happy with it. Guy has been able to provide money-saving resources for tile, appliances, etc. This company is the best! We recommend them to everyone!!

It was bad. How bad was it? Read on: This is decidedly not a recommendation but merely a heads-up regarding our experience with Paragon Builders and its owner. I can't/won't go into a list of issues, difficulties and problems we've encountered with Paragon as we dealt with them during a kitchen and bathroom remodel. It's too long and we don't think most people would believe us, given the glowing recommendations on this and other sites. But what I'd like to do is address anyone reading this and contemplating hiring Paragon: I have gone through a child-birth that was more pleasant than what my husband and I went through with this company. Here is a tiny, tiny, TINY list of the least vexxing examples: After we questioned an item that was expressly provided for in our contract, Paragon's owner hit us with, "I don't care what's in the contract..." So be careful what you sign, or don't, because evidently it doesn't matter; Workers and reps of Paragon often showed up with no advanced warning, no heads-up, phone call, nothing. By the same token, workers who were scheduled to appear sometimes didn't; When things go wrong (and they will, which is to be expected), you should be prepared to take the blame for EVERYthing. Even things with which you are not involved will somehow be your fault. One small example: Sliding kitchen shelves that the owner indicated were standard and were written into the contract weren't installed, and that was somehow our fault; If you have dogs, be prepared to double-triple-and quadruple-lock your gates because Paragon will "forget" that you have dogs and leave gates wide open; At your first meeting, Paragon will assure you that you are its only and most important client, that it works on only one job at a time and that YOU will be the single focus of Paragon's energy. Um...no; The kitchen contract was signed 1/18/2018, approximate completion date (per the contract) was March 9, 2018, the workers left MID-MAY! The final, agonizing step (installation of the bathroom shower door) finally occurred today. It's a good thing we were home because our advance warning was virtually nil. Had we not been home, we could tack another 4-6 weeks onto the bathroom completion date. Seriously. The guys working on the guest bath (a tiny, tiny room) arrived every day between 9:00-9:30 a.m., took an hour for lunch and left at 3:00. That's a 5-hour work day. We'll just leave that here with no further comment. So a rough estimate of a 2+ room job: 7 months. Be prepared. One minor positive: The owner was pretty easy to get ahold of and did respond to text messages within a day or so, which was not really "quick," but definitely a pleasant surprise. The questions/issues we had that we felt were important enough to text about were dealt with RELATIVELY expeditiously. (i.e., the worker who installed the new washer and dryer forgot to turn the water to the washer on before he left. Both appliances are the size of Buicks, thus too large for us to move to check it out, and we figured the washer was a lemon. After a lot of hullabaloo, frantic phone calls to the seller, etc., we called Paragon as a last resort, got a "Oh, yeah, maybe the water's not on" and, after a couple of days, our new washer finally worked. We still can't figure that one out.) There isn't room to go into all that went wrong, and we absolutely WILL take the blame for being newbies at this whole remodel thing and not being as well-schooled as we should have been, but sometimes it's hard to know what you don't know. Obviously other clients have had terrific experiences with Paragon. We didn't, and feel that it's important for those of you who are new to this to be aware that a LOT of due diligence should be done prior to hiring a contractor. But, again, it's very hard to know what's what if you've never done anything like this before. We would guess that Paragon is for the experienced renovation client, not those of you (like us) just starting out. We believe that personal recommendations from friends, neighbors, etc. would have been much more appropriate for us to rely on than a recommendation on a website, but that's just us. We'll live with what we ended up with, which is admittedly better than what we started out with, but we feel that the whole experience could have been an exciting, timely and happy one, had we chosen another contractor. (For instance, our experience/interaction with DiBara Masonry, who did all of our porch, planter and walkway renovation, was exemplary and ridiculously fun! THESE are the people we wish had done our kitchen.) Live and learn, folks. But, if possible, try not to pay a BOATload of money for it!

I was in dire need of a new roof, and shopped around probably 10-15 contractors. Guy Liba of Paragon Builders not only was the most competitive price, but on top of that he and his team did an excellent job, came back to add little touch-ups and fixes, and were polite, prompt and professional the whole way through. Even the cleanup at the end of the job was amazing, I didn't find one piece of debris on my property! My new roof looks amazing, and I feel safe and secure knowing it was done by Guy and his workers. Thank you, Paragon Builders!

Guy remodeled my master bathroom seven years ago. When I had water damage he was the first person I called. He worked all the details with the insurance company and helped me with getting the money to pay for the work. Everything went smooth and quick. Guy was very accommodating and responsive. After all these years, the level of service is just as good on a small project as it was on my Master Bathroom.

At first, I thought Paragon Builders would feel that my bath remodel project was too small, but they were so highly rated, I gave them a call anyway. The owner/contractor Guy agreed to come out within a day to give me an estimate. We agreed on a pricing schedule and within two days he had his crew come out and get started. I had some specific ideas about design and Guy and his tile man, Moses, helped me get exactly what I wanted. They showed up on time and on schedule and were careful to leave the site as clean as possible at the end of each day. They installed all new tile in shower and on the floor and a beautiful glass mosaic accent band. In addition, they installed a new vanity and all new plumbing fixtures. My wife and I are extremely pleased with how the project turned out. Guy and his team of Paragon Builders did an excellent job of helping us bring our vision for a new bathroom into being. I would definitely hire them again and have already referred them to a couple of neighbors who are beginning similar projects.

All of Paragon Builders, and particularly the owner, Guy Liba, did an amazing job with my bathroom. Renovating a part of your home is always supposed to be stressful. But with Guy, the experience was completely seamless, and even ENJOYABLE. When our bathroom was finished, Guy almost felt like part of our family. I cannot recommend him enough. Paragon was always on time, showed up every day as planned (Guy himself also made sure to stop by at least once every day), and was always willing to work with us to make any last-minute alterations. The end result surpassed all of my expectations. My bathroom feels like a showroom bathroom! I still fawn over it every time I see it.

Although I am not doing the Remodeling itself at the moment, my experience with Guy's advise and estimate was superb. I will hire him when the opportunity comes.

Cannot say enough to recommend Guy and Paragon Builders. Though it’s stressful to think of vying with the rest of the world for his impeccable services, it’d be wrong to keep him a secret. In any business, Guy would be a welcome partner. But in a business as full of mercenaries as contracting and construction, that Guy delivers true to his word - on time, on budget, and communicates clearly every step of the way- is as miraculous as finding a needle on a haystack. A haystack full of charlatans and short cut artists. Another absolute rarity is Guy’s appreciation and aptitude for the full gamut of construction and design scenarios and the projects’ unique needs. Whether it’s a bathroom remodel, a gut reno or a large painstaking restoration in old Hollywood, Guy brings a superior and discerning eye to the project - determining the way forward by drawing on years of experience and also by balancing the unique demands of that specific project. He’s got an unimpeachable reputation with the city, is smart, ethical and fast. He’s a family guy with a sense of humor that helps when dealing with the often painful and stressful realities that come with the territory. He even does a killer Donald Duck impression if you’ve got toddlers who need distracting while your wife and you review flooring.
