I paid for two air conditioning units to be serviced, including filter change. There was a problem with condenser fan motor on one unit. They quoted a price for the repair that was 50-88% more than it should have cost. I called someone else who was much more honest to complete the work. When the other company came out to see the unit that needed the repair, he reported to me that the filters this company allegedly changed were filthy and old. The only thing I can say in the company's defense is that they immediately refunded my money when I complained.

They have been more than excellent. Their customer service is amazing. I would highly recommend them and I will use them again.

Amir and his staff at Heating, Cooling and Beyond (HC&B) are consummate professionals and the quality of workmanship is top notch. From our first contact with HC&B, which was with Jamie, we were impressed. She was gracious, patient, empathetic, extremely knowledgeable and demonstrated excellent follow-through in handling our case. Jamie continued to be our main point of contact throughout our dealings with HC&B, during which time these qualities proved consistent. We also appreciated the care Jamie took in ensuring that the right equipment was ordered so that the installation would be done right. Our first contact with Amir, HC&B’s owner, was when he came to our home to personally assess our situation. The moment he arrived we felt reassured that we were in good hands. He was punctual, clearly knowledgeable and gave us his full attention while here – despite the fact that his phone was ringing off the hook. Further, though it was obvious the previous contractors had entirely botched our job, he demonstrated his professionalism by refusing to bad-mouth them. When HC&B’s installers came to do the work, our experience with them was equally positive – and again night-and-day better than the previous contractor in every respect. First, like Amir they were punctual. Arriving on-site they immediately expressed concern about soiling our floors and took pains to install protective sheeting leading to and around the work site. Similar care was given to the clean-up. While here they worked efficiently and were able to finish their work in a single (albeit long) day. Their interactions with us were always professional. Further, they expressed great respect and admiration for Amir, who they said had hired, carefully trained and supervises them to high standards, and for whom they have happily worked for many years. In short, we would recommend HC&B to anyone in need of HVAC work. It is rare to find companies of such quality and integrity.

We solicited bids from 3 Angie's List contractors that we selected based on ratings and reviews (yes, we read the reviews!). During our review of the bids, all 3 were very patient in answering our follow-up questions. We chose Heating Cooling & Beyond based on Angie's List ratings and reviews, price and ability to begin work without delay. Amir (the owner) had estimated 3 days of work and that was accurate. Each day, they laid tarps and plastic to minimize damage and dust in the house. First day, they removed the old furnace, fan and ducts from the attic of our 2-story house. Second day, they installed the new furnace, fan, coil, zoning system (2 zones: upstairs and downstairs), air scrubber and new ducts (the ducts in the walls of the first floor were left untouched). Third day, they completed the duct work, installed the outside condenser and connection to the electrical panel, installed the insulated coolant line from the condenser to the house, installed new register covers and new zone thermostats and tested everything. We had requested Los Angeles city permits for the work and that went well: there was a 3rd party testing service used by the LA DWP (we passed easily), a visit from a city inspector, a few minor changes requested by that inspector, and a final inspection that resulted in our signed permit. Heating Cooling & Beyond also helped with zero percent financing provided by the equipment manufacturer, Bryant, and Wells Fargo; and also assisted with paperwork for a rebate from LA DWP for installing energy efficient equipment. All told, it was a smooth and relatively easy experience, lasting about 10 calendar days from the start of work to the signed permit.

Amir (company owner) came to survey the job the same day that I called them to request a bid. He was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable about his trade. His company beat three other bids based on cost and I signed the contract. Work began on January 2. 2018 and finished on time January 5th. The crew was professional, and the lead foreman Juan was extremely careful about cleaning up before the crew left each day. Amir also came to inspect progress every day. At all times I felt like the job was in good hands and it was easy to communicate with the crew and understand what was going to happen next or how long it was going to take. Outcome: One 3-ton, and one 3.5-ton Carrier-brand condenser (both are 2-stage) installed outside, with two 2-stage gas furnaces installed in the attic. All new R8 ducting installed. Registers on the upstairs landing area widened. Extra inlet and escape register cut into master bedroom to facilitate better airflow and circulation. Everything was up to code and has passed HERS testing and the city inspection. I could not be happier with the process and the outcome, and would recommend Amir and his team in a heartbeat to anybody interested in installing a new AC or heating system for their home.

It went very smoothly. They came out and fixed the AC problem right away in very hot weather.

I got a very good price. Quality was a B because the Technician did a couple of things that I need to have redone in the house. They have been very nice. I would use them again.

"BEYOND" only begins to describe the excellent experience we just had with Amir and his crew. After getting a very high estimate from a well-known local HVAC company, we decided to sleep on the proposal, rather than cave to the sales pitch that went on for nearly 3 hours. In doing so, we not only saved about $3,000, we were fortunate enough to hire a man of integrity, honesty and advanced knowledge of his trade. Amir responded to my late night email the following morning, and was here later that afternoon with an estimate, and a crew ready to start the next day. (he actually completed part of the job that same day, removing all the old AC and furnace equipment, readying the area for an early start). His crew arrived the next morning at 8am, worked straight through until 4pm, and our installation was no easy feat (Furnace located in the attic, discovery of old plastic PVC that required re-piping with copper, and working on a very hot day, with uh..NO AC!) This warrants further mention that he didn't charge us extra for that pipe work, as it wasn't in the original estimate. A true man of his word! Every great review is well-earned by Heating, Cooling & Beyond!

Excellent, Amir (owner) is wonderful to work with and talk to. He is an honest and honorable man, and that's very hard to come by these days. We recommend him very highly and he's worth waiting for.

They were always professional and timely. They came out promptly to give us an estimate. When the actual work went over the estimate by over 50% Amir, the owner kept his word and did not charge us extra and that is very hard to find these days! They came out several times to fix issues and made sure everything was working properly. Amir even left us with several extra filters. Overall, they were wonderful to work with and we would use them again and recommend them highly!

They have come a couple of times. They seem to be good, they seem to be okay. He said this was bogus and that I did not need to do that. He said he was just going to tape it up for me, so I said okay. It was $89 for some tape. He was a nice guy, but that's what it cost. To improve, all I could say is a little knowledge. He seemed to be know what he was talking about, but, again, the gas company themselves would probably disagree with his assessment and what he did. I think if I had the gas company back in they would ask who I had do this shoddy work and they did write down what they wanted done. It was three pieces of tape and a 15 minute visit.

I highly recommend Amir and his company. Not only He made our condenser working again, he help us with our range hood and furnace filtration. He is very professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

My air conditioner had not been used for about 2 years and was in need of maintenance. Robert was sent to od the job. He was very knowledgeable and very easy to work with. The service was great.

He had to rebuild the platform that the furnace was sitting on.. the whole unit which was 30 years old....it was unbelievable what he did. He definitely went above and beyond! I'd use him again without question. Everyone in the Southern California area should use them they are highly recommended. Their name Heating Cooling and BEYOND is very applicable!

The tech was punctual, friendly, and performed the work quickly. We just moved into the property and since our furnace is 40 years old, he showed me how to re-light the pilot myself and gave me advice about what repairs/maintenance should be done and what shouldn't be done. I will definitely call them when I replace the furnace and air conditioner.

Found out air conditioner wasn't working at all. Need a new unit.

Super professional guys. Very nice and polite. They arrived on time and explained everything so I could understand what was going on. Haven't turned the A/C back on since that day, but I'm hoping the smell stays gone! I will continue to call these guys in the future.

More importantly Amir suggest a two zone cooling system which was a perfect solution for my work at home space. Jamie who dealt with the back on forth nailing down the details of the proposal and scheduling the work was responsive and flexible in meeting my needs. Amir arrived promptly, and repaired my heater in a few minutes. He was polite, kind, and extremely good at his job. My family and I will use his services forever. The best service call I have ever had!
