He was very good I used him twice because I was pleased with his work. He is no longer in business in this area. He moved to the city. I contacted other companies for estimates and they were expensive. I joined Angie's List and got McCarthy's name. From the beginning he was very good and gave me a much better estimate. When I needed him again a few months later I called him gain. I have been very pleased. There were light fixtures I wanted changed, both simple and complex, including pendant lights and a new switch. He does good work. He worked really hard to find solutions for the hard jobs. It was all well done. His price was great the first time. It was a bit higher the second time but I did not mind paying it because I know he does good work. He is very punctual and professional. I would recommend him.

He was fast and responsive he was quick to do the job and was very reasonable in price. the biggest thing was very quick. He had the job completed before I got 3 quotes back from other electricians!

Once we met with Paul, we went over our requirements for outdoor lighting in our backyard. He outlined a strategy to use an existing switched light to drive two twin floodlights under the eaves of the roof. He suggested we go to the local hardware store to pick out our fixtures and he would come up with a quote. Once we negotiated the price, he agreed to start in a couple of days. There was a 1 day delay while some parts were ordered. Once he started, he finished quickly and the quality looks very good. He guarantees the work for a year and followed up with a phone call to make sure that we were happy which we are. He is knowledgeable and very energetic. I think he can be quite busy, so make sure you get a solid schedule from him.

It's all working! I understand through contractor friends that this guy is really super. Always passes inspections and sometimes gives a deal or throws in some extras. The thing is the training and certification in Europe for these trades are a lot more rigorous than here. Anyway, I was pleased. And he's real personable--gave me time on the phone in consultation and seemed thorough and concerned.
