CASCADE ROOFING CO

Four years ago I showed Cascade the leak in my flat roof and asked them to fix it. They never did! In retrospect they should have done a thorough water test to determine where the leak actually was, though, it's often hard to actual get a tricky leak to leak when you want it to. Anyway, they did an okay job of installing the roof. However, one of the "veteran" roofers did use an extremely stiff broom to clear debris from one of my skylights--rookie mistake! And then for the next three years they kept coming back and caulking areas, and saying, "I'm 99% sure that will fix it." And it never did. Also, whenever I call the company I am told to call a foreman, rather than speak to an owner or manager: lame! And it's just a way to buy time until the warranty expires, which is yet to happen, but I'm so fed-up with them that I willing to pay a new roofing company to do a new roof rather than have those guys back.

They were prompt, knew what they were doing, and did the job in a reasonable length of time. Overall it went well.

I had a very good feeling from the beginning about Damian the gentleman who gave me the quote. I got 8 different quotes and he was the one who was most willing to work with me on price, quality of materials and a long term warranty. Once I finally decided on Cascade, they moved very quickly and were quite efficient in completing the job. My only concern was about the professionalism of some of the workers. While I believe their work was good, their language around the house was not very professional, and the clean-up was less than perfect. That said, I was at the house the entire time and am very particular about the cleanliness of my home. I have only found a few pieces of nails and random roof parts since they completed the job 3 weeks ago. I think that is to be expected to some extent.

They didn't solder the gutters tight enough and water came into the room. They came out and tried to repair it ten times and they still couldn't figure out the problem. They should have taken off the gutter and put on a new one. That would have solved everything. That is the only complaint. They did an OK job.

I requested crushed white gravel for the finish to reduce heat in the structure. Cascade honored my request, but had some delay in getting the rock. Actual work time to complete the job 14.5 hours over three days.
