Very good. Here are the details: called a number of companies that do sump pump work. Only these guys and another vinyl sheeting company came to the site. I chose these guys because their upsell wasn't as strong and I appreciated that. Our crawl space has a lot of ducting and not much space to crawl. They removed dirt, installed the plastic barrier and then the vinyl (?) sheeting. Epoxied it to the house. Finished as expected. Once they left, I went under the house and was very happy with the install - the points of attachment and fastening were strong and numerous. I was able to get around easily. The best part is the house now is smell free. I started by wanting a sump pump and ended with something altogether different, but I think my initial idea was bringing a garden hose to a forest fire. This is the way to go.

Excellent. Hard working crew that did an excellent job. Crawl space clean, odor free, less moisture in home. By having this done we later discovered we had a plumbing and ac leak in the crawl space. With the recent rains in Dec/2014 we were so happy to have a sump pump to handle the heavy rains and know our crawl space was not flooded.

25 years at this house and in wet winters we would have a damp smell coming up from the crawlspace. Rats were out of control too. We had sump pumps all around the house. Always cleaning or replacing or re-setting GFI outlets. I did it all myself. Finally I called his company to replace some sump pumps. Estimator came out and said they don't do that. They encapsulate the crawlspace. I said what about the pumps? He said it won't matter any more. I went for it. They just left and couldn't wait to get underneath and look. I am very pleased with the workmanship. If you look at the photos (hey angie can I post photos?), they fastened this 20mil reinforced plastic sheeting to the sides of the foundation using rivets. Not a bit of dirt or debris to be seen. The crew was very professional. Very polite, lots of drop clothes to protect the floors. Their workmanship was very good. If they were my crew, I would be very pleased. Just a word of caution - not a deal breaker but...the first day required a lot of dirt work. Invariably the house became dusty. I would have put painters tarp over couches and other soft surfaces. Second, don't be surprised to have some smell of epoxy - the material they use to glue the sheets together. It goes away in a day. It's part of the install which makes me happy they use it. So far I'm very happy with the job.

The works looks to have gone very well. They were on time each of the 3 days they worked and did their best to minimize mess by using the outside access to the crawlspace rather than the interior one located in our pantry, even though the interior access is significantly easier to fit through. I've since gone down into the crawlspace myself 2 times, something I never would have done before getting the work done, and everything seems to be of high quality. The crawlspace itself is only high enough for an army crawl, so I can only imagine the difficult of doing all this work in such a confined space. Overall I'm quite pleased with the finished result.
Description of Work: prepped and encapsulated the crawlspace for our house (about 1400 sq ft of crawlspace) and installed a sump pump with french drains

We had some moisture and standing water in our crawlspace after some heavy rain storms last Winter. Adam came over to perform an inspection and to quote for adding drainage and a sump pump, as well as for crawlspace encapsulation. I found him to be down-to-earth and collaborative in exploring options to resolve our issues. Later, I had a similar visit from a competing company and found their rep to be somewhat pushy -- he started outlining the solution before actually inspecting the crawlspace and surroundings of our home. We had a busy Spring and Summer, so I did not have a chance to get this job done. In August, I contacted Adam again to check on some technical questions and to confirm that he would still honor the original quote. He came around to the house again to take a look at the site and confirmed that he could do it for the original price. I had been concerned about whether they could dig the entire perimeter, since we are on very rocky ground. The second company had backed off when they saw the rocks and ended up quoting very tentatively for just a small part of the work that I wanted done. So, we decided to go ahead. Adam was fully booked for the next 3 months, so the earliest we could start was Thanksgiving week. Finally, the date came around -- Alex was our crew captain. They arrived on time on the first day and got to work. They managed to complete all of the work within two days, despite running into some boulders and other obstacles, and were cheerful and professional all the way through. We won't know how successful this drainage solution is until we get a heavy downpour, but fingers crossed that the problem is solved. I'll upload an update once we know how effective the work has been. Definitely a good experience, so far, though. If this Winter goes well, we may consider doing the crawlspace lining and encapsulation with this company next Summer.
Description of Work: Dug trench along entire interior perimeter of foundation in crawlspace. Laid drainage rock & filter cloth, placed perforated pipe, and back-filled with drainage rock. Dug and placed sumps at two lowest corners of crawlspace. Installed sump pump and outflow piping from one sump. Installed two sump alarms.

We knew we had a moisture problem under our house ( Muddy crawl space damp smell evidence of mould), but did not realise how severe until we asked Adam from the company to do an inspection. It was obvious that the space was flooding periodically. We were about to install new wooden floors and did not want them to buckle and warp. The company jiggled there schedule to fit us in very quickly and work began. They drove from Novato every day. The guys that came out were professional, polite and worked very hard. Crawling around in 2 foot of space, digging sump pumps and laying down huge areas of membrane in the dark and filth takes a certain kind of worker. Billing was clear, the contract was concise and followed the rules associated with general contractors. Felicia in the office was very helpful. our 2000 ft crawl space is clean, brighter and smells a lot better. Lets hope that pump does its thing when the wet weather finally arrives! thank you we totally recommend this company.

The team showed up on time and worked very hard. It was a very physically challenging job in a shallow crawlspace. I think they did a good job.
Description of Work: We had our entire crawlspace trenched for installation of 3 sump pumps. BAMC put down a base layer then lined the crawlspace with the white plastic. The house already feels better and there seems to be fewer puddles around the house.

They were professional, on time, and cleaned up afterwards. My only thing with them was that they seemed like they were going to do a little more than what they ended up doing from what was discussed in the estimate. So it was a little unclear to us as to why we didn't get the additional items discussed in the estimate.

For several years, during and after periods of rain, water (as much as an inch) has accumulated in parts of our basement. Other parts have gotten very wet from the water draining down towards an existing sump pump. I waited to do a report until we had gotten some rain and while this year has not been exceptionally wet, there was enough rain to convince me that the problem in our basement has been solved. The entire process went smoothly and everything was handled with skill and attention to detail. I had gotten other estimates which were higher than Bay Area Moisture Control and I am not sure that the work suggested would have solved the problem. In summary, the parts of our basement that were getting very wet are now dry.
Description of Work: 32 feet of "WaterGuard" water capture and drainage were installed. "CleanSpace" lining was installed above the "WaterGuard." A new sump pump and discharge line were installed.

Primo! Estimator was punctual and helpful. We were very educated about all of the options ahead of time and he clearly knows his business. Nice guy, on time, price was appropriate. There was a ding put in the drywall near the hatch (our crawlspace access is really tight), which they brought up to me and discounted their fee a little. All in all, stand up crew.

I am always so impressed with this company with each interaction I have. Lisa is fantastic and makes you feel like a long time friend and valuable customer, the owner Adam is very professional, honest and personable. I completely trust and admire both the company and the staff. Adam came and surveyed the damage, provided some valuable advice and promised to have a repair estimate in the mail. As promised, estimate arrived and will complete the work soon.
Description of Work: The owner came to look at damage to the waterproofing system that they had installed almost two years prior. Damage was a result of a flood from a burst sewer pipe which I was alerted to by the alarms that were installed by Bay Area Moisture. :-)

I placed a call to the office and met with the owner the very next day. He inspected the area, provided some insight and observations and took measurements. After speaking for a while and answering all of my questions, he promised to have me a proposal in the mail. The proposal arrived exactly when promised and was very detailed and affordable. I will report back once the work is complete.
Description of Work: The office staff and field personnel are very personable and take the time to explain each part of their service. I feel very comfortable with the knowledge and expertise of all involved. They provided a proposal and I have scheduled the work for the end of November. Estimated cost was $5,000.00

All work was done while I was absent, so I never saw the workers, but the quality of the work is excellent, they cleaned up well, and even fixed some separated vent pipes while they were working under there. I am very pleased with the outcome.
Description of Work: Property had a history of standing water under the house in the winter and house was always damp. Bay Area Moisture Control created drainage paths in the dirt, installed a sump pump, and completely sealed the crawlspace with a thick plastic sheet. This was sealed to the foundation on all sides. Now any water is pumped out, and moisture is contained below the barrier, keeping the house dry.
