Mr. B was on time, phoned ahead to let me know his ETA. He set up quite expertly, sealing the fireplace so that no soot or ash would end up in the living room. The chimney was swept, all debris vacuumed out. He noticed that some bricks had shed their mortar, so he replaced the mortar at no additional charge. He was quick, polite and gave me good advice on how to properly use my fireplace and do periodic cleanings. He pointed out a trapdoor in the bottom of the fireplace where firewood debris, etc can be swept after the fireplace is used. I was unaware of this feature and had been shoveling the stuff out of the front of the fireplace for the last ten years!

Mr B placed protective tarps from the hearth to the exterior vacuum, removed our spark arrester, swept the chimney, inspected the fire box and flue. He also repaired loose and missing grout in the fire box and on the exterior brick work. All work was preformed efficiently and he was pleasant to talk with.

Mr. B was ahead of schedule, so he called to make sure it was ok to come about 30 minutes early. He was very neat and covered entire pathway from entry door to fireplace as well as area around fireplace and taped off fireplace while scrubbing form the top of the chimney. He kept the vaccum outside and only ran the hose through the house and into the fireplace. The only noise was the sound of the vaccum (from outside) and the tools in the tools box rattling around... our 1 year old slept through the whole thing in a bedroom about 15 feet away. I was in the house the whole time and didn't get a single whiff of dust or ash (but im not very sensitive to it anyway). He found some cracks in the "crown" of my chimney and gave me a quote on repair... but also mentioned it didn't seem too bad and not to worry about it immediatly (also gave me a much smaller quote if i wanted to wait until Spring to have it done). This is my first time having a fireplace, so i asked for some help with it. He was happy to explain to me how to light the gas (and was able to get me a gas key for it because mine was missing). He explained some of the options for what to burn in the fireplace, and gave me some general pointers on dealing with some of the popular poblems people have. He accepted my personal check for $99 even and left me with a lotto ticket.

We have used Mr. B once before (to install a chimney cap and fix and clean the fireplace) and he was great. This time he repaired an external leak. Mr B has always been on time and has always done great work. He even came out once and stated that we didn't need a cleaning and to call again in another couple years (No Charge for the visit). I tell everyone I know about Mr. B.

Mr. B is excellent! The job was done quickly and there was no mess! I had never had the chimney cleaned before and was very impressed by how the work was done. As Mr. B was leaving he told me that he also cleaned dryer ducts. Mine was filthy and I asked Mr. B on the spot could he clean it. He said no problem and cleaned the ducts for an amazing price! I would absolutely recommend Mr. B to anyone...he is amazing!

Mr B. was very friendly and very thorough. I had several questions regarding what my fireplace might need. His answers were informative and he did not try to talk me into buying anything. My chimney didn't have a chimney cap or a damper. He recommend the chimney cap and mentioned that I would probably be alright without the damper because I had a glass fireplace cover. I decided to go ahead and get the damper with the cap and got a heat reflector as well. His prices are very reasonable. In addition, he gave us two super lotto tickets. His clean up was very thorough. I would definitely use Mr. B again.

Great job, we were have problems with our fire place making the house very smoky. Mr. B cleaned the chimney, replace and repositioned the gas line, and installed a smoke dampning hood. No more smoky house! Very clean, no mess, very proffessional, even gave us a lottery ticket. Used him before, will use him again.

No mess. Friendly guy. Gave me a lottery ticket as part of the chimney sweep package. He said he gets a lot of business between Nov-Dec but it slows down in January and his price comes down to $99

Mr. B came out and had all the caps and the ladder. He showed me how they work and how they would be installed. The work only took about 20 minutes. I was very impressed.

They did a wonderful job; I have no complaints at all. The price was good and they have not had to come back since.

He draped sheets over the work area and along the floor to the outside. He had a shop vac outside with a long hose so the machine wasn't inside the house. He cleaned out the chimney/fireplace and did some minor patch work for $99. I asked him to remove the existing fireplace cover and told him that I wasn't interested in replacing it. He suggested painting the interior of the fireplace with a special heat tolerant black paint to even out the stains, he brought out the materials and painted for an additional $20. We needed a new exterior clean out cover and he installed a new one for $45. I told him we were fixing up the house for a sale within the next year and he suggested we also fix the crown of the chimney, he suggested it be covered with new concrete and that the minor cracks throughout the exterior of the fireplace be filled in. These are both things that would be noticed on a home inspector's report so it was a good suggestion that I'm going to follow up with him about.
