Jeff was great to work with! He responded quickly to my inquiry about needing a survey, his crew who came out to do the survey was very friendly and provided me with a lot of information, and his price was extremely fair for the work performed. I highly recommend this company, and have even passed along his information to my architect to refer clients to in the future!

They were organized in the lead-up to the survey. During the survey they took the time to explain how they were conducting the survey as well as the results. After the survey when I had a question I was able to speak to the owner of the company on a Saturday, who took the time to walk me through some of the boundary marking. In addition to doing the work, doing it well, and explaining it as I needed, they are reasonable, pleasant, and professional people. It was truly a pleasure working with them.

Jeff and Team were awesome. We had just moved and there was some ambiguity with our neighbors boundary walls. We wanted to get a boundary survey done so we could make sure we understood our property boundries. I called Jeff and he immediately put me at ease with his approach and questions. I knew I was in good hands. We had a date scheduled and a few days before he called to let me know it was going to rain and we should move to ensure his team is able to do a thorough job. I agreed and he was right it pored the day they were supposed to show. The team came next week and did a very thorough and professional job. They placed markers and flags as promised , walked me and my neighbor through each point . Answered all our questions, the follow up was excellent too, we got a copy of the draft survey within 24 hours and then final submitted survey as soon as it was available from the county. Jeff was always there to respond to any questions we had. Definitely recommend Voorhees & Voorhees if you are looking for peace of mind working with professional

My residential construction project was abruptly put on hold when a city inspector required a survey to verify the property boundaries. Unfortunately good surveyors are in high demand (at least 4 weeks out), and Voorheis and Voorheis was no exception. However, after discussing my job with Jeff, he thought he'd be able to work it in very soon between other clients. Jeff patiently answered my questions, and I ultimately felt confident to hire them for the survey. I was really happy with their thoroughness and professionalism, and ultimately the city inspector was satisfied and approved our setbacks. I encountered a complicated boundary dispute involving my residential property and a new neighbor who began clearing an area. There were so many headache issues involving my property: it's hilly, convoluted, and there were no nearby licensed surveys on file. My deed had a confusing and older metes and bounds description to boot. Fast-forward, and I now have an outstanding Voorheis & Voorheis survey with amazing quality and attention to detail. Voorheis & Voorheis were very professional in every way. They definitely know their business When an irate neighbor confronted them, they handled the situation with class. They were able to de-escalate the situation and proceed with the survey. I am definitely glad that I chose them and would recommend them in a second.

I was incredibly impressed by Jeff's professionalism, depth of knowledge, and courtesy. My elderly parents have lived in their house for 55 years, and during that entire time had a great relationship with their adjacent neighbor. But when the neighbor died, a developer purchased the property and was going to tear down the boundary fence, much to my parents dismay. The developer provided a report which indicated the fence was on his property and he intended to demolish it. Voorheis to the rescue. They were easy to deal with, prompt, professional, and very reasonably priced. They quickly discovered errors by the developers civil engineer report. They provided a survey which showed the fence was on my parents property, putting an immediate end to a potential ugly dispute. I had called another surveyor who couldn't get me on their calendar for a month. I called Voorhies & Voorhies and they had a cancellation so they were able to come out the next day. They showed up when they said they would and did a good job. Everything was fast, efficient and thorough.

From my first contact with Jeff Voorhies, the communication was succinct, everything explained and scheduled promptly. The young men who executed the survey, Brad and Jeremiah, were informative, polite and professional. The results were explained to us and the final document was delivered to us precisely as promised. We were very pleased with our experience with Voorhies and Voorhies.

We had a sudden and unexpected need for a surveyor and our contractor and engineer were unable to find a provider. I found Voorheis and Voorhies on Angie's List, called and spoke with Don who called back within two hours with an estimate. They set up a time to come out but were able to fit us a week sooner. The surveyors showed up on time, were extremely professional and efficient and, at the end of 2 1/2 hours, we had all the answers we needed. I would highly recommend this company. The price was a bit high, perhaps, but I don't have much to compare to and we needed the job done asap so the price was fine for us.

Everything was great, start to finish. The quote was provided promptly, and, despite being busy, Jeff worked our survey into his schedule quickly. We needed it for a permit application, and time was of the essence. We appreciated Jeff's accommodation. We recommend this company highly!

I bought my home in 2011, and immediately ran into a land line issue with my next door neighbor. At the time, and just buying the home, I did not have the funds to come out of the additional cost, to have a survey done. But, I did go on Angies list and found the Surveyor with the best reviews, and they were spot on. I have had Jeff on my favorites list for four years. We were finally ready to put up a fence, so I contacted Jeff. I sent him and email and he was very responsive. He was very responsive throughout the whole process, and the process was very short. From when I contacted him, to when the job was complete, was less than a week. He was very clear to explain to me that because he works with commercial clients, sometimes he has to take care of a job due to the time constraints, but he informed that he would give notice, and reschedule immediately it that were to occur, and he did. The day of my job, he received a call from a commercial client and had to do the job. He notified me the morning of the job, and provided me with a time as to when the job would be complete, and when the crew would be redirected to my project. He then sent me a follow up email to let me know when they arrived at my home to start, and an email when the job was complete. He is very professional, and provided all completion documents in a reasonable time frame. If I were to buy another property, and needed this type of service done again, I would not hesitate to call him again. He is truly a professional, and provides a great service. The Voorheis company took my phone call and scheduled me as soon as they could fit me in. They took the time to listen to my situation and fully understood my purpose for the survey. They arrived on the jobsite punctually and ready to work (but still had time to answer some questions). They had all the requisite equipment and looked very professional. They performed the survey and after wards took the time to explain everything to me. This was a quality job from start to finish. If you are looking for a survey professional who's honest, gets the job done and is there for you, Jeff Voorheis and his crew are who you want. Don't waste time going anywhere else.

It went very well. Jeff did a great job of listening to what we needed. It was not an ordinary project, since it involved surveying the line between two of our neighbors' properties, one of which we have an easement on. Jeff did a very good job of explaining what we needed and what his company would do. The Voorheis and Voorheis crew came out when scheduled and did the job in a professional manner. Since we were anxious to know the findings right away, the surveyor informally walked us through what they had found when they finished the job. That way we didn't have to wait for the maps to be drawn. The maps did come quickly, and laid out all the details in a clear fashion.

Jeff's team came to my property promptly. They were professional. They wore all the right safety gear and looked like they had all of the right equipment. I left for the day and when I came back, I checked the work. It was excellent. All four corners were marked with professional-grade permanent metal markers and they put in intermediate markers with easy-vis pink blooms and stakes at elevation changes for easy roping. I had a question regarding one of the stakes because it was offset (otherwise it would have been in a neighbors yard). Jeff responded to me promptly and with excellent reasons and advice. He also sent me the city filings and a concise and readable diagram of the property boundaries as measured and recorded. This is exactly the kind of quality I was hoping for. You might be able to get the work done cheaper, but cheaper is not what I want for a survey. I want correct and workable. And I got it.

They showed up at the specified time. Completed the job as expected and continued to stay in touch until the end.

They were responsive and worked to fit us into a full schedule, as the results affected our final plans and were necessary for submission to the city. Most surveyors I called had at least a two week lead time to come out, but these guys fit us in nearly the next day. They were thorough and professional and while not the least expensive, they were not the most either, and it was worth it to have them perform the work ASAP. Plus Jeff Voorhies was professional, helpful, and courteous on the phone as well as over email. Would definitely recommend them!

I received a notice that the property directly behind me is going to be subdivided. Along my back yard is an group of tress that are over 60 years old. They are critical to my privacy and the appearance of my back yard. I live in an old neighborhood where the walls are accepted as the property lines but they are frequently inaccurate. I wanted a formal survey performed to determine if the trees were on my property or belonged to my neighbor. I wanted it done as quickly as possible (and accurately) as ownership of the trees would affect the basis of my argument to save the trees. Voorheis & Voorheis returned my call promptly and arranged to have the survey performed within a couple days of my call. They immediately called me with the preliminary report. Working with Voorheis & Voorheis was a pleasure - even when they delivered the results of the survey with which were not what I wanted to hear.

I had a question in trying to confirm the size of a lot I am purchasing. A full-blown survey would have been overkill for what I was trying to do but Jeff was very helpful in spending some time with me over the phone--free of charge--to help solve my question, including walking me through the County Assessor's website to pull the information I needed. Very helpful and for this reason I will call on Jeff in the future when I do need a survey.

Very well. Owner was very responsive and flexible in helping us decide what would suit us in our particular circumstances. We have a steep hillside property and the young surveyors were very professional and thorough, not even breaking for lunch on an 8 hour day. See specifics above. Jeff was incredibly responsive and honest. I had bid this project out to three other companies. I awarded Voorheis not only on price - but most importantly on the service and responsiveness.
