Description of Work: If you want to have a good outcome for your home improvement project be sure you do the following: #1 DO NOT buy anything from Ted. Once he has your money he is done with you and will not return calls, emails or even remotely attempt fix any problems you have. Rumor has it that If you accidentally get him on the phone after he has your money, he might put you on hold and never come back. #2 Understand that they do not do customer service at the store level according to Anabel. All customer service must go thru the corporate office (that’s where Ted works FYI). #3 If you use one of their recommended installers and they are going to pick the doors up for you, make sure that they inspect them thoroughly before thanking them. Better yet do it yourself because if there are any flaws, dings, damage to them, UB will blame the installer (see #4 for info on Rosie) and the installer will blame UD. #4 Rosie is in charge of warranty replacements. Also does not return phone calls or emails (she did reply once to blame installer for damage...so mean!) Also doesn’t seem to be in the office very often. #5 I’m going to double up on #3 (please review it if necessary). In the time of Covid when you have 4 guys in your house installing 9 yes NINE doors (seems like UB would offer better service on a sale like that) and you are not trying to be all close to them when working, it is imperative that you ensure the door builds and painting/primer is done well. If you don’t, and there are issues, they have your hard earned money and will not do ANYTHING to fix a problem. Follow these guidelines and maybe you will be ok. Happy holidays :^)

So I ordered my "custom craftsman door" from them end of February/1st of March. Was told it would take 3 week max to receive. The last day of the 3 week time frame I received a call telling me that there was a back order on the beveled glass that was to be used with our door. I asked the contact there, why am I hearing about this on the day my door is suppose to be ready for pick up? No answer. We then had to settle for regular glass...ok fine. I then call a week and a half later and ask for a status, is the door ready? I'm told from the contact there.... "oh no, the 3 week time line re-started when you selected the regular glass"???? how is that possible, makes no sense. Then, today marks the end of the additional 3 week time period which i was told that the door would be ready this past tuesday and that this thursday (today) would be the absolute worst scenario that it would be ready. I call today, the door isn't ready.... they can't tell me when it will be ready. Asked who do i speak with to escalate....they told me the owner was a guy named Ted Williams. Called Ted's office, they kept me on hold for an extended period of time without checking on me (close to 10 minutes). I hung up called back and they told me that he was on the line withe someone else...I asked for voice mail.... he doesn't have it (of course right? in today's day and age, why would someone running a business have voice mail??). I asked if I could leave my name and number, the person reluctantly took my information. Will be interesting to see if I get a returned call. Oh and they took a deposit of 1/2 the cost of the door 1700.00...... Will not be using them again and depending on the outcome of the next day or two, I may cancel my order and request a refund.
Description of Work: Ordered a craftsman style door....From the Tustin location. Horrible experience!!! Still don't have my door....
