Terrible! Sent an extremely high quote and then sent subs and never saw him again. Quoted brass valve, installed plastic and did not finish wiring. Never respond or returned to finish job

All work and products were first rate. I would have appreciated a quicker turnaround for services performed. I'd definitely hire them again.

Work done quickly and well. The only minus was getting a commitment on when the work would be done.

Carlos quickly diagnosed the problem and rewired the sprinkler valves. He checked all the controller programming to assure all was working as programmed.

I previously hired them and gave them a "B" rating. I have hired them again and now give them an "A" rating. Carlos came back out a year later, capped some sprinklers that were not being used and wasting water, fixed the hose bib in the front of my house that kept leaking and added a new bib in the back. He was super fast and effecient. As far as I am concerned, these are the #1 go to guys in LA for sprinkler issues.

I have a construction company and have used Carlos on several jobs. Carlos and his team do an excellent job. He's my go to guy for all my irrigation needs.

Replaced sprinklers at my mothers house. She had had a lot of problems with her sprinklers, Carlos and his crew fixed everything. They did a great job and even cleared out her drains in the back yard for no extra charge. Now the sprinklers are working great and my mother is happy.

We recently had a pool installed and about 1/3?1/2 of the sprinklers were dug up in the process. I needed those replaced and integrated into the existing system/timer. I got three estimates for this job... $4,000 (what?!), $2,500, and $1,500. I liked Carlos when he came out and was pleased his bid was the lowest. He said they would install two zones of sprinklers, one on the side of the house, and one in the backyard, behind the pool. He came out the morning of the work and talked to his two guys, but I'm not sure what he told them because they seemed very unclear on what they were supposed to do. They both spoke almost no English and I think they tried to explain to me that the sprinklers needed to be split into two zones, as if that wasn't what was supposed to happen in the first place. They did the work and showed me the sprinklers working, but after they left and I set up the timer, one of the existing zones and one of the new zones didn't work. I called the next morning and was told they'd be out that day. No show, no call. I called the next morning and was told the same thing. They did show and fixed the problem. They did the work, but I feel like they could have done more (even if it was for more money). The sprinklers on one side of the front walk don't work and there's a broken sprinkler head in the back. Had they tested the sprinklers and walked around and talked through those things with us, I would be a much more satisfied customer and they could've made a little more money. I am torn on whether I would use them again. The price was right, and the work was done, but I wasn't wowed.

I called 4 different people to repair a leak I had outside. One guy thought it was the fire sprinklers and wouldn't touch it. A fire sprinkler guy said it wasn't part of the fire sprinklers and had no idea what it was. Another sprinkler repair guy had no idea what it was and wouldn't touch it. Thankfully, Carlos figured out the problem and repaired it in no time. Carlos is my new go-to guy. Professional, knowledgeable, easy to talk to. Don't hesitate.

I liked Carlos upon meeting him, and I did check that they are licensed and insured before starting this job, plus had such high ratings on Angie's List or I never would have hired them. The problems began when Sprinkler Tech came out to do the sprinklers. I was unhappy with how they did it from the start. They arrived late, Carlos was no where in site, and they hadn't even been properly informed as to what they were suppose to do. The crew were reckless, messy and lazy - not carefully digging trenches, refusing to put in some of the sprinklers in the quote due to tree roots making it hard to dig, failing to burry the wires and pipes they ran all over the place properly, and not installing enough of sprinkler heads elsewhere to adequately cover my garden. Much of my lawn is dying as a result, plus there have been a lot of leaks they have come back several times to repair (this took umpteen phone calls and wasted hours of my time since they almost never return calls and kept me waiting because they never once turned up within the time they scheduled). Most importantly, they also damaged the brick garden wall around the top tier of my garden - by the end of May I could see it was starting to tip over. I called them about this several times, but to my knowledge they never came out - certainly not when they were scheduled to, and I never heard back from them. When I returned from vacation, I found a large portion of one side of the brick wall had collapsed, and another at the front is about to go. I have tried to contact them multiple times and set up many appts for them to come out and look at the damage and discuss the problem, but they never show up. During the entire project, they did not get to my home on time once. I had 1 brick layer & 2 landscapers come out who quoted to fix the damage -and said categorically that this company carelessly dug the trench too close to brick wall, put the sprinklers in too close causing the soil to swell and push the brick out. They also put in incorrect sprinkler heads on the lower tier that spray directly onto the bricks that will causing further damage. Another section of the brick wall is about to fall. And in order to correct the issues, they whole sprinkler system will need to be dug up and moved, many sprinkler heads replaced with the correct type for where they are placed, and the whole brick wall may need to be redone in order to get bricks to match (and not lessen the value and street appeal of the property). I am flabbergasted by this level of negligence, and they need to pay for the damage repair and replacement of the sprinklers they installed.

A few months ago, I had my gardener replace some sprinklers with a drip line and bubblers ? within 2 months, some of the bubbler/sprinklers had pulled out from the main line. Other sprinkler heads that he had ?repaired? had only been tinkered with ? he never tested to see where the water was sprinkling/spraying, and he didn?t replace the broken bubblers, not to mention fixing broken sprinkler heads, etc. I called Sprinkler Tech and set up an appointment for Carlos to come out and give me an estimate on reworking my entire sprinkler system, front and back yard, plus all bedding areas. He came out at the time promised, did a walk through, checked the sprinklers, etc. and gave me my estimate. He gave me a date the workmen would be scheduled, and told me that Tanya in his office would let me know exactly what time the workmen would arrive. Dealing with Tanya in the office was sheer delight!! She responded very quickly to emails, and was able to set up a time and date for the work to begin. The men arrived on time ? both very polite and conscientious ? they did a terrific job in half a day, cleaned up everything before they left, and told me that Carlos would arrange to have an invoice sent to me. (I had a prior appointment and wouldn?t be home when they finished up!) Tanya emailed me an invoice, and via email, we set a time that Carlos would come by and pick up the check. As a P.S. to my review, I determined that some of the driplines weren?t delivering enough water in one of the flower beds about a week after they completed the work ? I sent Tanya an email on Monday morning?by Monday afternoon she had responded and we had set up a time for Carlos to come by and check it out. He came out as promised, again right on time, and agreed that I might need more water in that particular planting bed, and said he would send his guys out that same afternoon to add a few bubblers. I was floored! Same day service! Unheard of these days!! I highly recommend Carlos and Sprinkler Tech for any sprinkler work or any other irrigation needs. He will give you a fair estimate and explain what the work will include. I will definitely use Sprinkler Tech in the future for any water/sprinkler needs!!

I wanted to utilize his services but was unnerved to find that he cancelled his bond in November of 2014 so there is NO protection should the work be substandard or damage is done. Worse yet, his license EXPIRED in September of 2010. Legally, he can not engage in contracts/work at this time. All of this can be confirmed by you on the Contractor's State License Board (CSLB) website.

They did a good job repairing the leak except on the bath leak. He fixed the valve and they’re leaking again. It’s getting worst. I called him up and he made the most sense to me but it took him a long time to come. We had to shut the water down. It took him 10 days before he actually came. When he came, he did a good job. The price was good. He was a very nice person. My problem is he would try to sell you things you don’t need.

Carlos initially came out to provide the estimate. I received bids from 4 A-rated Angie's list contractors. It was challenging as each contractor had their own opinions and suggestions for correcting the issues with my system. Carlos' approach was the simplest and least expensive. After some deliberation, I decided that a simple approach was the best and called Carlos to schedule the service. It was at this point that the communication and service got a little dis-organized. I talked to Tanya (office manager) and scheduled the service for 9/2 with an arrival window between 11 and 2 pm. Unfortunately, the crew did not show up until 3 pm (with no head's up that they would be late). Emilio was the crew leader. I explained to Emilio what needed to be done and they got to work. However, due to their late arrival, they were not able to complete the job that day and because they were so busy, they could not come back the next day. I had to call Tanya to schedule another appointment. While that was disappointing, I was impressed with Emilio and liked the work that was done so far, so I was anxious to get the job completed. As it was 7 pm when the crew left my house, I called the office and left a message for Tanya first thing the next morning. Almost a week went by and several voicemails left at the Sprinkler Tech's office without hearing anything back from Tanya, during which time I became very frustrated and sent some emails begging for someone to get in touch with me so that the work could be completed. Finally Tanya returned my phone calls. According to her, she had left me several voicemails to schedule the follow-up, however, I had not received any voice-mails nor any missed calls on my phone. I think it was a made-up excuse because they were simply too busy and overwhelmed (it was the height of the summer). Anyway, we got the job re-scheduled for completion and Emilio and crew showed up again to complete the work. Overall, I was happy with the work that was performed and the price was reasonable. Fast forward 2 months. I just had my lawn aerated and noticed that one of the zones was not working correctly any more. Clearly there was a leak. I called Sprinkler Tech on Friday morning and got a call back from Tanya the following Monday afternoon (so, not exactly a prompt reply). That's my biggest complaint about The Sprinkler Tech - they need to work on their communication and timeliness. Tanya was able to fit me on Wednesday and Emilio and crew showed up once more. This time it was a much simpler job and Emilio was in and out in an hour, the leak was fixed and they also addressed a few other minor problems with spray coverage and a popup that wasn't functioning correctly. This second experience was better than the first, maybe a B+/A-. Overall, I'm giving them a B because they could use some improvement. Bottom line is that I will use them again. The quality of work and price make up for the rest of it.

Carlos came out and gave us an estimate. His estimate was very fair and reasonable, especially considering a few guys tried to scare me by saying my entire sprinkler system needed to be replaced for thousands upon thousands of dollars. He returned a week later and did half the work, installing new sprinklers under certain trees and repairing busted ones. It took him about 2 hours. He said he had to do the final part of the work - installing a drip regulator - at a later date (i dont remember why). He left and we didnt hear from again for weeks until Tanya sent us an invoice for the total job including the work he did not do. We explained the situation to her and she said she'd have to check with Carlos. A week later she sent the same invoice. We explained again, she replied again (same reply) and a week later she sent a third invoice for the work that still had not been done. Finally the third time, nearly 8 weeks after the initial estimate, Carlos came back out and installed the drip regulator. He did a great job and we paid in full. The work was great but communication was a bit poor and unprofessional.

They arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. The crew of two repaired a leaking galvanized pipe under a brick patio, discovering a second leak 18" down the line they lifted the bricks and repaired the second leak. They put back the bricks onto the patio, as good as new. A leaking pvc pipe under a concrete sidewalk was replaced and they added another sprinkler head to the area. They had to dig up a few plants. They put them back perfectly and they're growing well. There was a third pvc pipe leaking on a roof area that needed re-gluing. They repaired that quickly. They then checked the rain birds on a hillside and adjusted the direction so they didn't spray onto the street. It took a few days to connect with Tanya for scheduling, but that's because they are so busy! She always got back to me either through phone call or email and we were able to set up a time for about a week out. The guys did a great job and I will be using them again when I need irrigation repairs.

I received a prompt estimate around May 12 after contacting them. They didn't do initial work until June 11 (a month later) and failed to arrive in the time frame I was given so I wasted my time waiting around. I had to leave for work so they didn't have access to my sprinkler controller in the garage when they did come by so they couldn't check everything. So a second visit scheduled on July 1st was another no-show, and they rescheduled for July 3rd to finish the work. So it took about 7 weeks to attend to issues. I will say they were professional, friendly, and knowledgable. However, it's disrespectful and/or disorganized when I was twice told the time window of when workers would be out and they didn't show up ... and my having to call to ask them what's happening when someone doesn't arrive versus someone calling me made my impression worse. Very frustrating.

He did a half-hearted cursery glance at the work I wanted him to do and didn't take anytime to brainstorm anything. He gave me the price and and was clearly wanting to move quickly along to the next estimate. I called them later to see if they could do just a quick emergency repair and they didn't even call me back. I was not impressed and did not elect to use them.

Martin arrived on time and set to work right away, identifying the source of the leak in the main valve near the house. He had replacement parts in his truck and installed them in the rain. He explained each step of the process. Afterwards, he inspected and reset the sprinkler timer for the proper intervals. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

They did well and were very professional and knew their stuff. They knew what they were doing and they had proactive, innovative ideas about what to do. It was not like us telling them where to position pipes and sprinklers; they were giving us good ideas on how best to do it. The job was done very well.

Two men showed up on time. One, the apparent foreman, spoke somewhat serviceable English. I showed them the problem. My expectation was that the actuator might have failed, or an internal spring snapped, as I could see water dripping from the valve when it was turned on at the controller, meaning voltage from the controller was at least getting to the actuator. Instead, the foreman studied the plumbing to the valve, which included a brass pressure regulator necessary to get the high street pressure down to 25 lbs for the drippers, and informed me that it was all plumbed incorrectly. The regulator completely confused him; he seemed to confuse it with the regulator he knew had to be on the house itself. It took many tries to get him to understand that the whole thing was perfectly plumbed, that this was a regulator separate from the one for the house pipes, and that it all had been working fine for a decade or more. He then decided to raise the pressure coming off that regulator. This made a significant difference, which was somewhat a surprise to all of us. However, the pressure was still lower than it used to be; I have a brass pressure meter on a hose bib that's part of the filter on the line. This suggested to me that the regulator itself should probably be replaced, as this behavior from a regulator is typically symptomatic of a slow failure. As far as the foreman was concerned at this point, however, they were done. He made no suggestion that the regulator was likely failing, nor did he offer to replace it. My take-away from this is he was not very well trained, as I seemed to know more about this sort of thing then he did.

It went well... job was done to my satisfaction. Staff was very friendly and easy to work with.
