Juan returned my phone call promptly and gave me an estimate and discussed the job the very same day. His crew showed up the very next day to do the work. They showed up on time and started to work immediately. Juan and his crew are very polite and professional and seem to have a desire to do the best work possible. Juan is very nice and fair with his prices and has very good customer skills. He is polite and professional and easy to talk to. I so appreciate his work and professional ethics. I would use him again.

Performed work same day that they provided estimate. I had received bids from 3 other companies and felt that it was a competitive price. Juan Reyes was present most of the time. His employees were polite and did a good job cleaning up after work was done. My tress still look like trees!

Juan is amazing. We scheduled 3 bids from highly recommended Angie?s list tree-trimmers to scale back two yucca trees, three tall palms, a bougainvillea that was climbing 30 feet into our cypress trees, and remove two rotting oleander from our flower beds. Juan came within 2 hours of my call, gave me a bid that was unbeatable for the work?which included an Angie's list discount and an offer to cut back our entire overgrown backyard as part of the bid--and offered to do the job the next day. He was pleasant, well-mannered and easy to talk to. Very rarely do I hire on the first bid, but I got a great read from him. He came right on time with his crew the following morning and exceeded our expectations by a mile. The trees were not only cut back, but they were shaped meticulously. Our backyard has never looked better. His skilled and conscientious crew even netted every seed from our pool during the clean-up process. I would hire Juan again without hesitation. It?s clear that quality, integrity, and work ethic are of utmost importance to him. We are very grateful for the beautiful work he and his crew performed.

Juan came to give me a bid and offered me 10% off for being an Angie's List member. I got two other bids, one of which was twice Juan's bid. I called him on Wed to schedule the job and he was here with his crew on Thursday at 8:00 am. The tree was in the front yard, next to a brand new redwood fence. To facilitate removal of the tree, they took down the fence and removed the plants that were in front of the fence so they woudn't get damaged. It took them all day to take down this massive tree. They cleaned up all the sawdust (there was a ton of it!), put back the fence and the plants, and left everything looking great. At my request, they also chopped part of the tree into smaller pieces and stacked them neatly in the back of the house so we could use them for firewood. We now have enough firewood for several years! All in all, they did a great job, at a very good price. Juan is a very personable guy and I would definately recommend him for tree service. He also does gardening and landscaping so I'll be keeing his number handy for the future.

Excellent service all around. Quick response for a quote and when we were ready to start on the job, they were available that week. They did a great job and left our yard spotless.

Fantastic, 3 men arrived in a truck on time. They were clean, friendly and very knowledgeable. They cleaned up after the job and I could not be more pleased. I had 7 cypress trees topped and they shaped them. The trees went from unruly to beautiful. The work was done promptly and in the estimated time frame. I would recommend Reyes to everyone who needs tree service. They are the BEST!!

They are prompt, very courteous, work hard and clean up beautifully. Juan even met us at the garden store and helped us pick out the fruit trees. Thank you Angie's List. You did it again!

I have to say, Juan is amazing. He contacted me within hours of the initial request for estimate, was there the same day and gave me the estimate on the spot. I had to wait a couple of weeks before I could proceed, but when I called him to do the work I was amazed that he could it the same day after lunch. I was expecting to have to wait a week or so. His team showed up and did everything asked for, cleaned up even the saw dust and wood chips so that it now looks there's never been any cut or dead trees on the property. I'm THRILLED. They even raked over everything and cleared out some ivy brush that they didn't have to. In the fall, we'll be redoing the sprinkler system and I know exactly who to call. :-) Reyes Tree Services & Gardening is now my definite go-to guy for all things lawn/tree/yard!

I found Reyes Tree Service on Angie's List and based on the Grade and reviews gave them a call. Juan Reyes returned my call very promptly and made a same day appointment to come and give me an estimate on the tree/stump removal and trimming as well as some additional landscaping to be done at a later date. I needed to do the tree removal and trimming immediately and would need to do the additional shrub removal and replanting along my property line at a latter date. He gave me what I thought was a VERY reasonable quote for each project. We made an appointment for the end of the week to do the tree removal and trimming. He and his men showed up on time, performed the work and did an excellent job of cleaning up the debris. In fact, you wouldn't have known they were here.

1/15/11 my neighbor called to tell me a very large branch from my tree had fallen into his back yard and pool. He and another neighbor each recommended tree service companies. I was able to schedule appointments for that day. I explained the situation and added I had additional work. The first man told me in detail all the work that had to be done and the number of men required to do the job. His price was $1700. The second man looked around and said $665. I did not feel comfortable with either man. I checked Angie's List and chose Reyes Tree Service and Gardening in Northridge, CA. I called the next day and made an appointment for noon. Juan arrived on time and he said the cost would be, $1100 minus a $100 Angie's List discount. His rating was A based on 11 reviews. I felt comfortable discussing the work to be done. Juan explained that his men had been with him for many years, some were family. They were all good at their jobs. I felt the job was in good hands and that I would like the results. I was not disappointed. Juan arranged to have 2 men at the house later that afternoon. They came and quickly removed the branch, cleaned that area of the yard AND cleaned the pool. My neighbor's yard was spotless. The 3 dead trees were removed and the others were topped, trimmed and thinned: each branch removed was chosen by the man on the ground. They had arrived at 8/a and finished by 4/p and left no sign they had been there except that all my trees looked better than before. I definitely liked the results. Juan stopped by to ask if I was satisfied with the work. I told him I was and that I would be calling him to redo the yard as soon as I finished the design of the yard to one that will contain plants which require low water usage (southern California must go green.) All in all I'd give Reyes Tree Service and Gardening an A+.

Our Jacaranda trees experienced a growth spurt and needed to be cut back and shaped because they were scraping against condominium buildings. Based on the great reviews, I emailed Reyes Tree Services & Gardening on 1/19/11 to set up an appointment for an estimate. Juan called me back within the hour and showed up to give me an estimate later that day. I really appreciated the fast response. I own a home-based business as well as being the president of my HOA so I'm pretty busy. Juan gave me an estimate of $800 to cut, shape and clean up 6 trees in all. Then he knocked $50.00 off the price because I'm an Angie's List member. Juan was quick, professional, and seemed very knowledgeable, so I gave him the job on the spot. I wasn't disappointed. Juan and his men showed up the next day, when they said they would, got the job done with minimal inconvenience to our residents, and did excellent work. Juan even trimmed another tree at no extra charge because, as he put it, "It didn't look right to leave this one untrimmed when all the others were." It's nice to meet someone who does the job right, just for the sake of doing the job right. I've used a number of tree services in the past, but never did the owner show up to supervise his crew. Juan was here from start to finish. He takes pride in his work and his good reputation. Judging by my experience, and the results, he's earned it. I highly recommend Reyes Tree Services & Gardening.

Juan Reyes and his crew were prompt and efficient. The quality of the work was excellent. The crew cleaned up thoroughly afterwards and took all the trimmed branches, leaves and leaf litter with them in their truck. They were professional and competent. And the price for their work was reasonable. I would recommend Reyes Tree Service and will use them again.

Juan and his crew did an excellent job. He will take great care of your trees, and he knows how to thin and shape them to keep them healthy. He is reliable and cares a lot about his customers. I would definitely use his service again!

Mr. Reyes immediately responded to my call and came to my house to discuss the job. He provided a written estimate and talked to my neighbor about one of the elements of the job ( a huge tree on the neighbor's property that was threatening to come down on my house). He convinced my neighbor to have him reduce the size of the tree, gave them a good, acceptable estimate, and scheduled the work for 12/6/10. On 12/3/10, he called to determine whether his crew could come on 12/4/10, at about 8:00 AM, to trim the trees in the front of my house. His crew arrived on time and completed the work by about 2:00 PM. The debris was completely removed. On 12/6/10, his crew trimmed the large tree, on our neighbor's property, threatening our houses. His crew maintained the appearance and shape of the tree, while significantly reducing the potential for damage to our houses. The considerable amount of debris generated by the trimming of this tree was completely cleaned up. My roof and back yard are now cleaner than they were before the tree was trimmed.

Juan came out for an initial estimate and consultation. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, with suggestions for our front and back yards. We decided to start with just the front yard and it looks perfect.

Juan and his crew arrived on time and finished a day early. They were pleasant,careful and very professional. The trees look great! They cleaned everything, including the gutters.

I wish we would have had Juan and his guys from Reyes Tree Service and Gardening from the start. We had a previous company do some landscaping and install a sprinkler system. Some parts of the lawn were getting drenched and some were water starved. We never heard from them after the work was done. Reyes re-did the sprinkler system putting in the correct system for our hillside home. We are now green! Not brown. We went with Juan to his nursery and found these great shrubs to plant on our hillside and they are thriving. He had great suggestions and knew his plants so well, if they were right for our house and what care was involved. The quality of work was exceptional. His guys were professional and punctual. And they cleaned up after themselves! We couldn't be happier. We continue to use his company for maintenance and when we are ready to landscape the rest of our property, we will be sure and call Reyes Tree Service and Gardening.

Everything went very well. I was very pleased. They were very neat, did everything they said they were going to do and cleaned up after themselves. After the trees were trimmed, they didn't look butchered, but they were shaped very well and looked great!

HIS CREW DID A GREAT JOB IN OUR HOME. TRIMMED ALL OUR PALM TREES PLUS WE RE-DID OUR GARDEN LANDSCAPE AND NEW FLOOR PLAN WAS MADE. WE ARE VERY SATISFIED.
