Juan and his two workers were fantastic. Contacted Juan and he came to my house with in two hours for a estimate. Juan sent two workers the following day (today - 8/20/2011) and the gentleman were on time, professional, and very nice. They performed an outstanding job. Cut and trimmed the trees and cleaned up after the job was completed. Highly recommend Reyes Tree Service.

Although we didn't hire Juan, he was extremely professional, emailed a thorough estimate, and had great ideas. I completely trusted him, but his vision was a little pricier than we were prepared for. Nevertheless, I would definitely call him again the next time we're interested in something major.

Mr. Reyes was on time for the estimate and was able to generate the costs for me within 10 minutes. We went over the course of the work and he was willing to work with me on cost on some items I was concerned about. He arrived on time the day of the trimming with 5 extra workers. They got right to work on the job. I was concerned about the trees being too bare afterward, but he assured me they would look good. He was right. They looked great. All items were cleaned up and the sidewalks swept of extra pieces. He also asked me about lawn services. When I explained who we used and why, he was very gracious, gave me a price and a card for weekly service and asked I call him if anything changed. I would definitely use Reyes service again and will consider him for my weekly yard service as well.

I got at least three estimates on having the palm tree's dead fronds trimmed off, but as soon as I met Mr. Reyes I knew his company was the perfect fit for this job. He was extremely punctual when he arrived to give me an estimate, right on time is what I appreciate because I work out of my home office and like things to remain on schedule. He quoted me a price that was very slightly higher than some of the other people I'd called, but he's a true professional -- he's insured, he pays his taxes, he treats his customers AND his workmen VERY kindly. He is a true gentleman and his care for his clients really shows. I immediately felt at ease with him and as I talked with him, it was clear he was the man for the job. The day they arrived to do the work, they were once again right on time and ready to get started immediately. (No excess talk or standing around drinking coffee -- these fellows are motivated, pleasant and professional.) I was impressed at how they anchored tarps across the end of my pool closest to where they worked. This ensured my pool didn't get trashed with palm tree garbage while they did their job. Mr. Reyes even skimmed my pool during and after, to make sure it was clean when they completed the job. I was thrilled and impressed by the time and care they took! The fellow who climbed up the tree safely roped off and was very careful around the wires next to the tree. He was assisted by two other workmen who took the dead fronds to the truck -- they cleaned as they worked, the job being really smooth and faster than I expected. They don't waste your time in the slightest and they try to leave your peoperty in better shape than when they arrived. You can tell I was very impressed by how clean they worked. When fronds went into my neighbor's yard, they made sure to go over and clean up the fronds thoroughly, leaving no mess for my good neighbors to contend with when they got home. There was a little problem with the neighbors' trees, when some of the falling old fronds damaged the lights they have strung in them. They contacted me and I contacted Mr Reyes, who immediately contacted them. While I didn't get into the middle of things, I did notice that Mr Reyes visited them, I'm sure to make the situation right, especially since I heard no further comments from the neighbors after he was there. He's a true gentleman, so I'm sure he did whatever he could to help my neighbors. The best compliment I could give him was to refer him to my mother, who was very unhappy with her current gardeners and felt she was being ripped off. Mr Reyes gave her a very fair estimate and she has them do her yard now (except for 'mow & blow'), and today she told me she was DELIGHTED with the job his workmen do with her yard. For the first time in years, she's happy -- and she's very hard to please. She feels she's getting very good value for her money, she's impressed that they show up, do a marvelous job and then leave without bothering her, and she's suggested I change my yard service to Mr Reyes', too. After having such a great, great experience, I will be calling him for an estimate on yard service. His people go above and beyond what my current gardeners do, and I'm sure I won't be 'nickled and dimed to death' by him as my current gardeners TRY to do to me. If you need trees maintained or any kind of yard service, you should call him. I cannot even fully express how happy I was with his work -- he is AWESOME!

I had multiple problems with my sprinkler system. A sprinkler pipe in my front yard was cracked and wasting a lot of water. The control valves in my backyard were old Lawn Genie brand valves that were no longer functioning properly. I went with Reyes Tree Service because of the reviews here on Angie's List and I wasn't disappointed. Juan Reyes and his team did their work professionally and did a good job of handling some unexpected issues with our high water pressure in the backyard. They replaced the broken pipe in the front, upgraded our plastic control valves to brass, and made various improvements to our sprinkler system to increase performance and coverage.

Juan Reyes was my 4th quote for a fairly simple job. I got his name, including two of the other three, from Angie's List. The first three were probably capable but one was reentering the vocation (this name did not from Angie's list) and, of the other two, one gave a quote over the phone and sounded bored with the job, and the other guy came out, gave me a long sales pitch quoted me a large sum and wanted to bring two workers with him besides himself; also just seemed to really not be into doing the job. It was a fairly small job, cap a few sprayer heads and purchase and install a new timer, why 3 people? Juan came out, gave a fair quote and a sense that no job important to a homeowner is too small. He exuded confidence and thus, irrespective of the lower quote, I had the gut feeling he was going to work out for us. Juan kept in contact up to the date of service, showed up on time and, with his son Miguel, went to work. The job ended up taking longer (as these kinds of jobs tend to do) as there was a big leak in an underground pipe (we initally thought only the sprinkler head was broken). He dug in, replaced the pipe in timely fashion. I asked him to cap one additional head that was not in the quote. He did that and, though I offered to pay more, he did not charge for the extra time or parts for the additional work. I am so glad I obtained this fourth quote, again I am patient and it usually pays off in these matters.I was very impressed with his professionalism and quality of work. Called Juan Reyes for an estimate. He actually picked up on my first attempt, scheduled a visit for the following day, arrived on time and 2 days later performed the work as agreed. The work was the best I have had done while living in my home 6+ years. The clean up around the patio and pool area was so detailed you would never know they were here. The palm trees and plant look fantastic. I will use Juan Reyes again and highly reccomend to anyone.

Process was great. He was punctual, professional, attentive and detail oriented. Can't say enough great things about Juan and his staff. They aim to please -- you won't be disappointed.

This is why we still need family owned businesses - the larger tree services may be (literally) a few dollars cheaper, but the work is not as careful or cared about as much. See above for complete details.

Working with Juan and his crew was a delight. Juan obviously takes pride in his work and is a professional. He was reliable, hard working, and gave appropriate direction to his crew. He gave us valuable input when we were unsure of how to proceed and even addressed a concern my neighbor had regarding water traveling down a slope towards the base of his house. Juan and I spoke on the phone to get an initial idea of the sort of work he does. He seemed very professional and had so many great Angie's List scores that we set a date and time to meet at my house. He showed up exactly when he said he would and we decided on a new layout for my backyard. We landscaped our yard only a year ago but the landscaper we used planted many things that grew out of control and made the yard a nightmare to maintain. We needed help right away! When Juan arrived at my house, he knew the names of all my plants and trees which really impressed me. He also seemed to have a very good eye for layout and landscape design so I trusted his judgement immediately. As I mentioned, we really needed help in designing the yard and creating a low maintenance space to enjoy. Juan proved himself to be the man who could do just that. He called me a few days later to meet at a local nursery and pick out some plants. On the way there, we actually stopped at a business park where he showed me some examples of mature plants he was thinking would be a good fit for my yard. I really appreciated this little field trip, as it gave me a much clearer idea of his concept. We went to the nursery and he showed me many different plants and he knew exactly how they would grow, the amount of space each would need at full maturity, the amount of sun and water they would need, etc. He clearly knows his stuff! Finally, his men started the job exactly when he said they would. The total job took about 2.5 days to complete, which I never believed would be the case. I expected delays and other issues to come up and prevent the job from being finished on time. But they actually finished a few hours before he predicted they would. I was amazed! And on top of that, they left my yard cleaner than they found it. His men all seem to completely respect his authority and leadership and do a great job for him. Overall, the yard turned out amazing. It is absolutely beautiful and we plan to use Reyes Tree Service for many more project to come. We also HIGHLY recommend Juan Reyes and Reyes Tree Service for your landscaping and gardening needs.

Juan is a delightful, soft-spoken man and a pleasure to work with. He arrived on time to provide an estimate for trimming a tall overgrown grapefruit tree, shape a tangerine tree and trim neighbor's ficus trees to the property line. The estimate for these tasks was $600 and seemed more than fair for all the work involved. I was concerned that his crew might just top the trees and not treat them well, but Juan reassured me that his guys were well-versed at shaping and trimming trees - and I was quite pleased to find he was right. I was so impressed with the end results, that I then consulted Juan about putting the front and back sprinkler systems on automatic (electric) timers and provide a drip system to the flower beds. Juan quoted $1000.00 and while I thought that was a bit expensive, I felt confident the job would be done right - which it was. I also asked Juan to remove and replace a dead peach tree, for which he quoted $230 (including price of tree at $120 + mulch) and, once again, his crew did a great job. They thoroughly cleaned all areas, removing branches and dropped fruit, and I was very satisfied with their work. In fact, I have plans to hire Juan and his crew again to trim an apricot tree (now that it has finished blooming for the season) and Jacaranda tree (once it's done blooming). Give Juan Reyes a call for all your landscaping/gardening needs - you'll be happy you did !!

All personnel were hard working, congenial and accomodating of any requests made during the job. Three people worked on full day and never stopped during the entire project. Juan Reyes is an extremely hard working and ethical individual, who oversaw his workers and all times. I would highly recommend this company and am planning on using them in the future for any further work of this nature.

I e-mailed Juan on monday and called him Tuesday. He answered the phone and I explained to him the job I wanted him to do. We set up a time to meet for thursday. He was on time and I barely made it. We actually both arrived at about the same time. He looked at the job and gave me an estimate of $450.00 and explained how he would remove the stump and how he wnould replace the St. Augustine grass. I told him I would give him a call back to let him know if I would use his services. I had actually called another guy (Tony Macias), but he never called me back. I decided that same afternoon to go with Juan. I called him back and told him I wanted him to do the job. He said he could do it on friday and that he decided to only charge me $400. I agreed and let him do it. His two workers came friday morning right on time. It took them about 2 hrs. to remove the stump. It was a big mess, but they cleaned the yard up beautifully and you couldn't even tell that they had worked there. They even put the grass back so that it would fill in later. GREAT JOB! I would definitely hire them again. Good job, good price!

Juan has employed the same crew for a number of years, and you can tell why -- the guys work quickly, efficiently, and do high quality work at competitive prices. Juan Reyes and his hard-working employees did a great job! With 30 years of experience under his belt, he can tackle any Landscaping project, no matter how big or small. With a great eye for design and plant arrangement, he will transform your garden or yard into a haven. I've seen his garden and boy--it's amazing! This is an amazing company. He showed up on time, was incredibly nice, and reasonably priced. He's great with email, and sends an estimate in writing. He followed up when he said he would. This was the best interaction I've had with a company in a long time! I got several quotes on trees, one was slightly less than Juan's, but the guy was uninsured and sketchy, so I decided not to go with him. Then there was Juan's price and then there was one company that said it would cost double what Juan said it would. My job was to cut several large trees on my neighbors property, but at the last minute my neighbor decided she didn't want me to cut them. So I ended up not doing the project, but if I did, I certainly would have used Juan. In fact, I like him so much, I decided to hire him to do some landscaping around my house which I had been doing on my own.

Juan, the owner, was very polite and professional, and arrived when he said he would. The men worked fast, cleaned up everything, and were gone in two hours. I was very impressed, especially since tree people I've hired before don't always show up when they say they will. One reason I picked this company was that they can also plant the replacement trees once I buy them. Another reason was the Angie's List discount!

Juan and his crew are outstanding. I found Juan on Angie's List. I contacted Juan and two other services for estimates. Juan's estimate was competitive. However, the comments on Angie's List from prior individuals who had utilized Juans' services convinced me to contract with Juan. I would highly recommend Juans' services to anyone. I will contract with him again for any future jobs.

Juan contacted me by phone after receiving my request via Angie's List. I was out of town and didn't have a chance to return his call, but he followed up and we were able to set an appointment. He arrived promptly at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 15th. Juan and I walked around the property as he surveyed the work that needed to be done. He asked me questions about what I wanted done to ensure that he had an understanding of my expectations. Juan was extremely polite and I enjoyed speaking to him. He advised me that it would be about $200 and that he could have his crew out on Monday or Tuesday morning. The crew arrived first thing on Monday morning and made quick work of trimming the tree off of the neighboring roof. I was pleased to see that they cut it back so far that there wouldn't be a problem again any time soon. They also cleaned up the branches and leaves and took them away. They did a great job on the hedges as well. They were trimmed back enough so that they looked tidy and didn't hang over the fence, but enough remained to afford privacy. I would definitely use Reyes Tree Service again and plan to call Juan when I am ready to remove the trees from my property.

The crew was able to start on the job early than originally agreed on. They were able to work while no one was home and cleaned everything up. Overall very friendly and nice work!

The experience was pretty much perfect. From the time I called for an estimate appointment to the time the job was done was a matter of a few days. Juan showed up for the estimate with his father. They are old-style gentlemen. The quote was very fair for so much work. The crew showed up on time and did good work even though they were pressured by an oncoming rain storm. They trimmed and cut a tremendous quantity of materials from my front and back yards making the whole area seem lighter and much more tidy. Juan suggested that he come back for another day's work to further weed and clean up the back yard and help re-pot some small citrus I have and prepare the front yard for vegetable planting. I'm planning on having them do this in a couple of weeks. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a good clean job for a fair price.
