Description of Work: This company is the BEST! I've been using this company for over a year now, and the quality of work they do is consistently great. I'd had a very hard time finding someone professional to take care of my yard -- it's amazing how some people feel that, just because it's yard work, they can show up whenever they please and do whatever they want. And then I found Mr. Reyes and his company! They are always on time, very professional, everything is kept spotlessly clean, they never complain about how long it takes to maintain my yard. They are friendly, there is always someone who speaks fluent English, as regrettably my Spanish is severely lacking. If you ask them to do something, they listen very carefully and take care of whatever you need. I just cannot say enough good things about Juan and his crew! I recommend his company all the time, because the quality is top notch and I know he'll do a great job for people. I never have to worry about the guys being left unsupervised, as they are honest, hard-working, and go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. (Sudden windstorm? They make sure to take whatever extra time they need to, to get ALL the leaves swept up!) They're also very careful around our pool, to be sure no dirt or leaves ever blow into it. (I've seen Juan skim the pool more than once, to make sure it's as beautiful as the yard!) Trust me, if you need someone to make your yard beautiful, your first call should be to this gentleman. You won't be disappointed.

+ -1 moreJuan returned my telephone message that I left, and we set up an appointment to give me an estimate shortly thereafter. I agreed to his estimate and set a date for the work. He and his crew arrived promptly and performed the agreed upon work (apple tree removal and Jacaranda trimming) quickly. Cleanup was very good. Juan noted a hump in a cobblestone walkway caused by a large maple tree's roots and told me that he could remove the feeder root and that the disconnected root under the walk would eventually settle and would not increase. The growing hump had posed a problem I had been concerned about and did not know how to resolve. The lawn over the root feeding the walkway root was removed, but removing the root also required cutting and replacing a section of sprinkler pipe. The sod was replaced and seems to be recovering well. He did not require any additional payment, but I did add $25 to the payment
Description of Work: Removed a medium -sized apple tress and the stump. Trimmed the top of a jacaranda tree. Dug out and removed a tree root that was causing a hump in a cobblestone walkway..

Description of Work: He did an 80 ft pine tree removal. Trimmed 5 large trees. Laid sod in front yard. Roto-tilled. Laid grass seed for over 700 sq feet. Installed new sprinkler system in front and back. Removed debris. Laid down brick. Put in sprinkler timing system in the front and back yard.

+ -1 moreThe work was done well and the trees look very nice. I thought the price was very fair. They cleaned up everything after the job. One slight negative was being late for their scheduled work. I think they were busy with numerous jobs. I liked their work and I would hire them again.
Description of Work: Reyes Tree Service pruned several trees at my mother's home. They also removed a dead tree and did some brush clearing on a hillside.

+ -1 moreI have a very large, beautiful, messy mimosa tree in my back yard. Limbs were tangled in electrical and phone wires that run across the yard. I called two services for bids on trimming the tree away from the wires. One man came out, but was completely disinterested and seemed annoyed that I had bothered him. Juan Reyes came to bid on the job, was courteous, seemed very interested in the project and told me what he thought should be done with the tree. His bid was reasonable and I made an appointment with Juan to come out the following month, after Christmas. I called a week before the date we set and he had it scheduled. On the day of the job, there was a slight delay in his crew arriving because of some trouble with their truck, but when they arrived, they went right to work. His men were all very friendly and very professional. They did a beautiful job on the tree, trimming the branches away from the wires, and shaping the rest of the tree. They cleaned up well and even helped me clean up a couple of minor projects I was working on in the front yard. I am very happy with what they did, and now that the winds have started up, I feel a lot more at ease that the limbs are no longer bouncing on top of the electrical wire. They did a very nice job shaping the tree and I'm looking forward to the spring when the leaves and blossoms return. Juan has a good crew and he is a very nice person. I would be happy to use them again and definitely recommend them to others.

+ 1 moreJuan was a day late getting started with the work. I was concerned because the company providing the roll away could have charged me for an extra day. Once his crew got started with the work, they did a very good job. I was impressed with the crew cleaning up after the work was done.
Description of Work: Overall Juan Reyes and his service did an excellent job fixing my backyard. I thought his service was a bit pricey but he and his crew did a good job with my lawn laying sod, fixing my irrigation system, and pruning my trees. I would recommend Juan Reyes Tree Service.

+ 1 moreJuan came out promptly to give me an estimate and once I agreed to the price we set a start date and were off and running. He was prompt and started the job on the agreed upon date and finished the same way, on time and on budget. He and his crew created two new planters in our front yard, moved three large plants from existing planters and filled in all the planters with new and existing plants. They finished it off with lights and it is amazing!!! The only regret I have is that I waited so long to have this done, had I known it would be this great I would have done it sooner. We had no plans to landscape our backyard but after seeing how spectacular the front yard looks we might need to have Juan come back out.
Description of Work: Juan and his crew were fabulous and we could not be any happier with the work performed in our front yard. They transformed our ordinary front yard into something wonderful, it actually changed the whole look of our house. We are so happy we decided to use Juan and his crew.

+ 1 moreI cannot say enough good things about Reyes Tree Service & Gardening. Juan and his crew did an incredible job cleaning up our very large lot after a severe windstorm destroyed several trees and made our yard a terrible mess. We had already scheduled an appointment with Juan for general clean up before the storm hit, and cleaning up our yard was already going to be a very large job. After the storm greatly increased the amount of work to be done, Juan worked with us on the services to be provided so that the price was not prohibitive. Cleaning up our yard is not an easy task. The land is on a steep hillside with a lot of trees and a creek. There is no easy access, but that did not stop Juan's crew. Besides the cleanup, they trimmed and pruned several trees, including oaks and palms. They removed ivy from trees, raked leaves, trimmed and shaped ground cover, and hauled away the debris. They tirelessly carried the debris up ladders to get it to the curb. Even with the damage, Juan and his crew finished in two days--and the place is immaculate. Juan was there for most of the time, and if he had to leave, he would let me know. Besides being very nice, Juan also kept me informed of what his crew was doing. There were no surprises. Finally, his crew was very polite, cautious, and thorough. All in all, our place looks fantastic, and I would recommend Reyes Tree Service in a heartbeat . I will be using his services again in the future.

Her good experience led me to call Juan for work on my sprinklers and I too was very pleased with work done. I would recommend Juan Reyes to anyone who needs timers and sprinklers fixed and/or replaced.
Description of Work: Juan and his team replaced two timers and added third. Re-wired valves that were not functioning on hillside. Checked all valves & sprinklers to ensure they were working properly and watering plants/trees. Replaced sprinkler heads if needed.

Juan came by twice that day to check on the overall progress. The guys were neat, cleaned up afterwards. No complaints whatsoever.

Their equipment is well maintained and he was very considerate with the noise level. He did not use the chipper until all trees were trimmed. I was very impressed with their service and would use them again and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.
Description of Work: They did an excellent job of thinning out 80' pine trees, cleaning palm tree and numerous other trees in front and back yard.

They also had to be extra careful due to my neighbor's horses right on the ohter side of the fence, and showed extreme consideration for the safety of the horses. I would hire them again and refer them to friends.

+ -1 moreJuan gave me a very detailed quote which he emailed me (Thank you!) I really appreciated the time he spent to make sure everything was noted and priced out. Most just give a flat figure. He arrived on time the day we agreed upon with several workers. They did a great job of overhauling all the plant beds, shaping and trimming all the plants and bushes, and planting new flowers and bushes around. The rose bush hadn't been trimmed in how long and they did an amazing job. They were done within a day and are coming back to fertilize the lawn. I will continue with Juan Reyes for my monthly lawn maintenance as well since they do such a thorough job. Thank you!
Description of Work: I needed my front yard to have a complete clean up for the entire front and the side of the yard. We have a corner house with lots of plants. Our previous gardener was not maintaining the plants, and we had let him go the month previous. I had used Juan previously for my tree trimming and he did a great job. I called him for front and side yard clean up, addition of plants, and to do a monthly yard service.

+ 0 moreJuan Reyes came to my house on a Sunday to give an estimate. Since I work during the week I'm always grateful that someone is willing to come by on a weekend day. He was prompt and sent me an estimate via e-mail later that night. He and his crew came and worked the next Wednesday. I wasn't home for the work and he was willing to leave me an invoice to pay later. The work is fantastic and the clean-up was immaculate -- if it wasn't for the freshly trimmed trees and a working irrigation system, I never would have known they were there.
Description of Work: Replaced 6 sprinkler valves in the front yard, general tune-up of all sprinkler heads, including one that wasn't working at all, trimmed a two large olive trees.

I called him on a Sunday on the off chance he was answering and he came on a non-working day to give me an estimate on cutting down, removing, and stumping a huge tree with monster thorns, trimming a similar tree next door that was encroaching on my yard, bringing a tree that could hardly be recognized back to a delicate healthy-looking camellia, and a nasty bunch of branches into a pert little tangerine tree. He came the next day and replaced my broken sprinkler control box, and all the broken, misplaced, and mistimed sprinklers and drip lines. His estimate, the same as his end price was not only the lowest, but included extras he didn’t charge me for. I noticed that all of the tree people seemed to have good ratings, but mixed reviews, little things that were wrong with each company – the exception was Reyes Tree Service and that’s why I went with him from Angie’s List and not the others. Tried three, researched, and kept one. Thank you Juan Reyes and Co.

I hadn't asked them to deal with the tree that had grown into the trellis because I didn't think it was possible without damaging the trellis and thought I would just wait and replace the trellis later (the house is a fixer that my mother bought, surprise! guess who's doing the fixing) but I had them go ahead and they somehow removed the branches (they were really grown in) and the trellis looks untouched. You would never know that the removed trees had ever been there. All of this was completed and cleaned up in a day and there was a lot to clean up as you can see from the list of what was done. Completely satisfied.
Description of Work: Thinned and shaped massive 25-year-old tree that had never been trimmed. Trimmed 2 tall palm trees. Cut large branch from neighbor's tree that had broken common wall. Cut and removed branches from tree that had intertwined themselves into an overhead trellis. Removed pine tree, about 1 ft diameter trunk (including stump and roots). Removed large Australian willow (including stump and roots). Cleaned-up and removed all debris.

It took him a week to call me back initially but we did finally get him to our house for a bid on re doing our front yard. Sadly, he never got back to us with an estimate. I called three times and got one call back but no estimate. We ended up having to hire someone else. Big disappointment.
