Reyes Tree Service & Gardening

Mr. Reyes contacted me, made an appointment to bid on the job at hand. He was willing to negotiate and I thought the price was fair.The following week, Mr. Reyes and one helper came to do the job. About an hour prior to arriving, he did telephone me to let me know that he would be running a little late. I thought that he was very thoughtful and I was fine with the little delay because he had the courtesy to let me know ahead of time. Both Mr. Reyes and his helper did a fantastic job of cleaning up the weed problem, thinning the overgrown plants and hand shoveling to do a deep soil cultivation which was so desperately needed. They worked very hard and took no break with the exception of a minute or two to have gulps of lemonade that I brought to them for refreshment.I have hired Mr. Reyes' company to do my gardening twice a month. I can only find kind things to say about Mr. Reyes and his helper. Mr. Reyes kept his word about everything and more.....I would recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic gardener!

I called Juan and inquired about a gardening service quote. He took down my information and never got back to me. Rude!

Juan and his team were great. We received a detailed estimate for the work, and the work was scheduled within a week of agreeing on a price. Juan's communication was very good, and he understood exactly what we wanted. He was also flexible about little changes we made along the way. His crew worked very hard the entire time they were at our home, and they completed the work very quickly. They did a great job, and their work looks fantastic. We will certainly use them again.

Juan came out promptly when I called and provided a detailed estimate of the work to be performed. He also identifed a potential fire hazard for removal. His crew arrived at the agreed upon time and were very polite. They hauled load after load of trimmings and we can finally see our yard again! The highest marks go to the crew's flexibility and professionalism. At one point a neighbor became very hostile and rude while we were away. The crew remained calm and polite and got us on the phone so we could mitigate the neighbor's concern. The size of the job kept the crew on our property longer than we had expected. This was our miscalculation because we were hosting a children's party in our backyard. This was no problem at all for Juan and his crew! They cleaned up the area for the party and happily altered their schedule to work in the front yard while the children were in the back. After the party they returned to finish the job. For the size of the job and the complications, we were thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend Juan and his crew for anyone with a job as large as ours.

All of the work was done in one afternoon,hauled away trimmings,weeds and stumps,cleaned up all areas,and did a few extra things that we did not even discuss at no extra charge.Mr rayes is a complete gentelman,easy to talk with and has a great sence of humor,you will not go wrong with this company,including his staff just a great expierence...Thank you Mr.RayesEd and Sandy FrohmanSunland,ca 91040

I was eager to get a bid from Reyes Landscaping based on his reviews. When I called, Mr. Reyes answered the phone himself and set the appointment. He showed up exactly on time, and I was impressed! He spent about 30 minutes discussing the project and took notes to prepare his estimate. A few days later I emailed to ask when we would receive his bid, he said he had gotten busy but promised I'd hear from him in two days. That was two weeks ago.... very disappointed, if he price was right he would have gotten the job!

Our front and back yards have been severly neglected for years. Our weekly gardener is nice, but doesn't do much beyond mowing the front lawn and blowing the leaves around. I've had bad experience with tree trimmers before, so was a little apprehensive, but Juan Reyes has great reviews on Angie's List. He is marvelous! This was a wonderful experience all-around. Juan is very professional, returns calls and emails promptly, and shows up on time. When he came to give me an estimate, he asked questions, took notes, and later emailed me a very detailed quote that was much lower than I feared it would be. He even called me a day later to make sure I received the estimate. Juan and his workers spent the day at my home while I was at work. When I got home, I nearly cried, my yard was so clean and beautiful! The magnolia and grapefruit trees in the front, which had been butchered by others in the past, were beautifully shaped and laced. Juan and his guys uncovered trees I didn't even know I had because there was so much overgrown "stuff" around them. They even cleaned out my pool house, which was so dirty and covered with vines I would not venture in there, which I didn't expect. They also did a good job of cleaning up and hauling everything away. Juan totally exceeded my expectations, and charged me exactly what his estimate was. I will be contacting him soon to arrange for his company to take over as our weekly gardener. I would highly recommend Juan Reyes to anyone!

WOW. Juan and his crew are just amazing.! When we contacted him, he was able to come out right away and spent a long time talking to us to find out what we wanted to do. We asked for an itemized estimate for about a dozen tree-trimming and maintenance items throughout our yard, and Juan quickly provided one by email. We then prioritized the work we'd like to do now vs later this year, and Juan was happy to provide an updated estimate. He suggested doing a couple of things that hadn't occurred to us, and his advice was right on. He and his crew arrived on time and worked diligently throughout the day. I was worried that since our trees hadn't been trimmed in so long they would look odd after their haircuts, but they all look great and very natural! Not a one has that hacked-at "just trimmed" look, which is a huge relief. And a testament to the artistry of Juan's crew! Once finished, the cleanup was so thorough that they removed all yard trash, not just what they had created and the yard looks better than it ever has. We were extremely happy with our communication with Juan, his work and that of his crew and our overall experience. We'll definitely use him again when we finally finish the rest of the work.

I called Juan for a quote over the weekend and scheduled him to come out on Monday. Unfortunately, we had a mix up with the date/time for the estimate, so he ended up coming out on Tuesday. He arrived 15 minutes early. The original estimate was for $350 for just the palm trees and the ficus hedge, but I asked for a quote for the orchid tree as well. With the Angie's List discount, it ended up being $350 for both, but after I asked Juan if he'd trim all the trees for $300 to beat a competitor's quote, he agreed quite happily. He emailed me his company's insurance information (after a few tries cause he didn't get my email address right the first few times). He said he could come out the following Tuesday and would let me know on Monday morning what time specifically after he checked his schedule. I hadn't heard from him by midday, so I left a voicemail and email. He got back to me pretty quickly and let me know he'd be over by 9:30. His team arrived first and began work after I showed them the trees. I left for work and asked him to call me when he was almost done so I could return to check their work and pay him. They were done after a couple of hours. I came back and was surprised that they had done a bit of extra clean-up trimming on the other two trees we had as well. I had mentioned during our quote that one reason we wanted to trim back the ficus hedge and orchid tree was because our neighbor had complained that they were touching his roof. Juan said he had talked to our neighbor to make sure the tree trimming was to his satisfaction as well. Overall, Juan was great to work with except for the few minor hiccups with scheduling/emailing.

After meeting with two other companies that either didn’t show up when supposed or the service to or later changed the amounts originally quoted, I was skeptical about my third attempt to find someone to help me with my trees. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received and will definitely use this company again in the future. They were very flexible with their schedule and performed the work in a timely manner. The service included fertilizing my trees, adding drip sprinklers to some of my trees and putting mulch throughout my yard. Their clean-up was beyond perfection – I think the left my yard and driveway cleaner than when they arrived!!!! They were very nice and helpful and even though it has only been one week, I can already see the difference in some of my trees. I highly recommend Juan and his company!!

Mr. Reyes was very responsive upon contacting him and was able to schedule a time within a week of the request. The work performed was outstanding and well done. He also was considerate in assuring clean up after the trimming making sure the surround areas and pool was left clean.I will definitely use them again when needed and highly reccomend for both the quality of work and cost.

Got bid, 2 weeks later job completed. I had to change time at last moment and they accommodated the change immediately. Rego is a gentleman; know his business, polite and on time. Trees where done to my specs. Helpers know their jobs well. Where on time,did the job quickly, cleaned up well and suggested a tree for replacement. Great to work with.

It went very, very well. It is ALWAYS a pleasure to have Mr. Reyes and his crew do work for me and my family. He was kind enough to go to the plant nursery and buy/transport the flowers for us, then have his crew plant everything in all the front flowerbeds. I have a strong feeling they fertilized everything, because it's all growing in so nicely despite the SoCal heat! I explained to him we wanted to add a *lot* of color to the yard and he accomplished exactly that. He also saw a rose bush which was in need of digging up, so he took care of that as well. We have a large in-ground pool with the Italian cypress trees along one side of it. He and his crew ALWAYS take special care not to get debris into the pool as they work. We saw him out there with his crew as they were cleaning everything up, skimming and skimming the pool to ensure it was just as clean as when the pool maintenance tech was there a few hours earlier. That's one of the MANY things I love about this company -- they *always* clean up after themselves and they work VERY clean. I'm looking forward to Mr Reyes' team taking out one of those trees for us, next time we can afford it. I know they'll do a fabulous job, because they always have such high standards. I always feel I've been treated very fairly by Mr Reyes and urge you to consider him for your next landscape job. I'm pretty sure I found him through Angie's List and he has proven to be a genuine treasure.

Well worth the money to hire these guys. The whole process was stress free. They arrived on time and got the job done in a timely manner. Highly recommended.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Professionalism - Mr. Juan Reyes provided an accurate, honest, and friendly estimate. Charged what he quoted. Easy to get along with. Always smiling. Punctual - I don't live at the property they worked on, and they always beat me to the site. Great pricing - He was about a hundred bucks above another company's estimate and said that he would not beat the competitor's price, but that he will match the price AND do more work than the other guy. A+++. Fast, efficient, and SAFE workers - E-mailed me all his certifications, proof of insurance, and bonds. Showed me his license on day 1. His workers are well-prepared for the job (equipment and experience). Mr. Reyes is there to supervise 95% of the time. Quality - A picture is worth a thousand words, and I hope he posts the before and after pictures. Workers cleaned up after themselves. I believe it was cleaner than when they first got there.

Juan and his team were very helpful; they truly care about the job that they are doing and got it done very quickly. They replaced the lawn area in the front with decomposed granite in no time. He also checked our sprinkler system and replaced any sprinkler systems that he saw were broken. His bid was the lowest I found and the work he did was great. He will be coming back in the next few weeks to get the yard in better shape.

Juan was awesome! He came to my house the day i called him. He asked good questions, we talked about what was important to me, and he came up with a price that was very affordable. His crew came on time, they worked hard, and they cleaned up better than I could have expected. Anyone who wants good work, a friendly person, and good prices needs to call Juan!

My whole experience with Juan Reyes and Reyes Tree Services was easy and efficient. He showed up to provide the estimate when he said he would, provided documentation of insurance and a written estimate and showed up with his team to completed the job as expected and promised. Overall it was a very positive experience.

Very professional. He came the same day we called to give us a price, scheduled the work within a few days of getting the job and showed up on time with a full crew. He supervised the crew himself and did a fantastic job for a very fair price.

I gathered 6 estimates to have 2 large maple trees removed with grinding of the stumps. I chose to get an estimate from Reyes Tree Service based on the reports here on Angies list, and I'm glad I did. Juan answered the phone and we arranged a time that he would come and give an estimate for the job. He arrived when he said he would and gave us our estimate. He also provided us with his full License and Insurance information which none of the others did. Juan seemed very knowledgeable and well equipped to handle the job so along with his estimate and Angie's List ratings, we decided to go with him. After Juan handled things with the Gas company to make sure there would be no issues with our gas lines, we set up a date for the tree removal. Juan and his team showed up ready to work. I was very impressed with Juan and his team. They all worked well together and they worked constantly on the trees. They tackled both trees with full knowledge and expertise for the task. I was amazed at how quickly they removed both trees. They were not even sidelined with a surprise bee hive found inside one of the trees! What was more impressive than their excellent job was the clean up they did during and afterwards. Our front yard, sidewalk and street were filled with debris and branches. When they completed the job you would not even know what went on earlier in the day. And honestly you would never even suspect that we ever had two big maple trees on our front lawn. There is no odd hole or dent or mound in our yard. All in all Juan and his team did excellent work and we are more than pleased with the results. So much in fact that we've already requested another estimate for another job from Reyes Tree Service.
