Reyes Tree Service & Gardening

We've used Reyes Tree Service in the past and again, they did an impeccable job. They brought plenty of crew, performed the job perfectly and cleaned up nicely. They were on time and careful while working in our backyard. Some of the trees were nearly wrapped around cable wires and they negotiated those professionally. I cannot say enough about Juan Reyes and his crew. I plan on using them for any other similar jobs we might have in the future.

Juan Reyes and his impressive crew did a major tree removal and pruning job for us at a home we just purchased in the Hollywood Hills. There were over 20 overgrown, root-bound ficus trees on the periphery of the property. These tall, dense trees were also overhanging neighboring roofs, and there was poor access to the site. Despite these limitations, we simply could not have been happier with Reyes Tree Service. Look no further, Angie's List subscribers! Juan Reyes is your guy, seriously. His price was lower than many other bids. His crew was careful, responsive, showed up on time, and cleaned up each day. The entire job took a week, as there was also root grinding of the removed trees and pruning of the trees that remained. Juan and his crew knew what they were doing at every turn. This was a massive and difficult job. Yet they did not drop debris on neighboring lots, they did not do any property damage, and they worked steadily every day. We will absolutely hire them again. We also realized in the midst of the job that mandatory hillside clearance needed to be done, and we added this to the job. Juan gave us a fair price for this addition, and applied the same diligence to the new task. We recommend Reyes Tree Service without reservation.

I called Juan to set up appointment to get an estimate to cut our overgrown ficus tree in our front yard. He was very punctual and gave us an estimate on cutting down our ficus tree in the front yard and also an estimate to cut our ash tree in our back yard. I was at work today and was very pleased with the cutting and trimming of our huge ficus tree in our front yard. All the debris and trash was cleaned up and hauled away.

I called Juan to come back to do another job on a large ash tree in our backyard. He said he would come back when he had an opening in his schedule. I was at work so when I came home he had cut the tree down but needed to finish the job the next day. When I arrived home the next day the job was finished and the backyard looked immaculate. He also removed the roots on our ficus tree in the front yard which he had previously cut down a few weeks ago. I would definitely recommend Juan for his superb work.

We needed a tree service that was reliable and reasonable and one that we could present to the neighbor's children. In the last year, both of our next door neighbor's of 35 years, passed away. The gentleman loved his trees and allowed them to grow, and grow and grow. Our backyard was a mess, from those trees, 12 months a year. His family is preparing the house for sale and were willing to allow us to trim the trees away from our wall. In searching for a tree service, we joined Angie's list. After reading several reviews, we decided to call Reyes Tree Service. That was less than one week ago and the job is not only finished, but finished in a professional and prompt and clean manner!

Juan responded very quickly to my request for an on-site estimate. He came over, I told him what we wanted, he explained what was going to be done and then gave us an estimate. I told him I had one or two more people to get estimates from and he said he would do his best to beat their price if I were to give him the job. In fact, even though his price was a bit higher than another company, we chose him because he had a good vibe, was friendly and seemed to know his stuff! And, when we told him about the price difference, of course he matched it!! That was fantastic! On the day of the job, Juan brought a full crew and they immediately started covering everything. I really appreciated that. Unfortunately, it was an extremely hot day, but Juan's team never complained once. They just got started in the back and then made their way to the front yard. They had their own truck to chop the branches on site and everything was hauled away leaving no mess at all. It took less than half a day to get everything done. We would definitely use Juan and his team again. We were extremely pleased with his work!!

I wanted a professional tree trimmer instead of my handyman for the very tall palm trees in my back yard. After meeting with Juan for the estimate I added the vines in the front and the bougainvillea. He and his crew did exactly what I asked -- including leaving some palm fronds that he advised that I cut (I like the look of them even though I know they won't last for much longer). I've found that tree trimmers are a lot like hairstylists, they sometimes do what they think is best even if it's not what you want. Juan listens to his customers, and that's a wonderful quality in any field. He and his crew were on time and left the yard cleaner than when they started. He even cleaned my pool as best he could. I will be using him again next season and recommending him to my friends and family.

I left a message for Juan Reyes after researching tree service providers on Angie's List. We received a call back the same day, and made an appointment for him to come by, review the job and get an estimate. His knowledge was evident immediately, and once we received his estimate, we decided it was a very fair price and we hired Juan and his crew to do the job. Their punctuality was perfect, the work they did in one (hot) day was more than I expected, and their clean-up was impeccable. Juan noticed a problem with my main water line and fixed that as well...again, at a very reasonable cost. We will absolutely hire Juan and his crew again, and recommend them with no hesitation.

Juan came over to my house and we discussed what could be done after I shared with him my ideas. He then sent me an estimate via e mail outlining our conversation. Once we reached an agreement a date for the work was set. I have used several tree trimming companies and Juan's employees trimmed the trees better than any companies that I have had in the past. Not only were they trimmed and shaped but thinned out so they were not as dense. Another day was set for the sod and ground cover which was completed in two days. Some of my sprinklers did not have enough pressure and they were able to run another line and put another valve in which restored the pressure - no one had done that in the past or offered that suggestion.

Juan came out to give us an estimate - a very fair estimate. We agreed to have him do the job and he called within two days to schedule. Juan told us it would take two days to get the job completed. Juan and his crew came out on the day it was scheduled and went to work - by 4:00 that same day, the entire job was completed! They got in there and quickly and professionally got the the sprinklers installed (we used our existing valves/timer) and hooked up to four stations, installed the sod (which looks beautiful) and did an excellent job in cleaning up - I would highly recommend Juan Reyes. As he left, he gave us instructions on watering/caring for our new sod and gave us many great recommendations for what kind of plants to put in the planters we had just installed. Great, great guy with professional crew!

All things went well. Team showed up on time and were professional. Most of the work of taking the large trees down was done in two hours. Taking the stumps out took another four hours. He had the right equipment for the job and people that knew how to use it.

Very well. Juan Reyes called back, came by to make an estimate of the cost (which I found reasonable), and performed the agreed work on the tree punctually and professionally. His crew was efficient and friendly, protecting the house from falling branches and cleaning up thoroughly afterwards. By early afternoon, the tree was nicely trimmed, in a way that removed the excess weight and minimized the tree's reach into my neighbor's yard, while avoiding excessive cutting that might be harmful to the health of the tree, which was clearly a top priority for Mr. Reyes. The result was praised by our neighbor and we are very satisfied ouselves, so we will surely contact Mr. Reyes again a couple of years from now when the tree needs another trimming.

I initially called Reyes Tree Service in mid-May for an estimate. The owner, Juan, promptly returned my call and set up a time to come give his estimate. Juan was running a few minutes late for our appointment but he called me to let me know. It was no inconvenience for me. When he arrived, I found him to be very friendly and professional. He efficiently surveyed my trees and wrote his estimate. I was very happy with the estimate but was heading out of town for a few weeks so I waited to schedule the service. Upon my return, I phoned Juan. He was out in the field and didn't have his appointment book handy. He didn't return my call that evening so I called again the next morning. He apologized for not having called me back because he said he didn't want to call that late. Completely understandable. We then set up my service appointment for the upcoming Saturday at 1PM. To my surprise, Juan's crew showed up at 11 AM, earlier than our appointment time but that actually worked out better for me. We showed his crew the trees that needed service. They began work immediately. I have to give kudos to those guys! It was a pretty hot day and they worked their tails off. Juan arrived shortly after they began to surpervise and check everything out. All in all, it took the guys roughly 5 hours to complete all the work. We are so pleased with everything. Our remaining trees look fabulous. They are very nicely shaped. We are so happy to have the wax tree gone from our pool area. It always made such a mess. Speaking of messes, Juan and his crew cleaned up everything. We didn't have to lift a finger after they left. They even did a great job skimming any particles that had entered our pool. And the end price was exactly as quoted. No surprises! We wouldn't hesitate to use Reyes Tree Service again in the future. In fact, we plan to use them again within the next year as we have more trees on our property that we'd like to have removed. I highly recommend Reyes Tree Service!

First of all, Juan answered my initial call in a timely fashion. He then set up a time to come and see the yard and the work to be done. When he was running late that day, he called (how often does that happen?) and arrived at exactly the time he said he would. He surveyed the work and got back to me with an estimate. He arrived today with a crew of five guys and they did an excellent job. When necessary, they pruned by hand. Juan even went out of his way to find organic fertilizer. The yard looks fantastic. In all of the years I have lived here, I have never been happier with a gardener or a crew. They worked hard and literally whistled while they worked and took great pride in the job that they did. We could not be happier.

Great; his two workers worked hard in the hot sun and finished it all within the day. Had to trench and put in new pvc and valves. Had to dig and plant a 24" root box tree.

I had a back yard full of dirt and gravel, and I needed someone to remove all the junk and install St Augustine sod. I called and spoke to Juan, and he came out the next day to check it out and give me a quote. Juan was exactly on time. I have a pet peeve about tardiness, so I was relieved when Juan was punctual. I've always felt that if your contractor doesn't care enough about you to be punctual, they probably won't impress you with the work they perform. Juan saw the challenges that were part of the job - LOTS of dirt to remove before the grass project could even start, very limited access to back yard, etc. He sent me a quote a few days later, and we agreed on a price. Project would start the following week. Juan's crew arrived right on time and got to work. I wasn't able to stay around and watch all the work, but Juan kept me updated with any issues (and there were several, such as major root issues from a tree that had been removed, a broken sprinkler line that I didn't even know was in the ground, etc). After 3 days of Juan and his crew busting their butts in 90+ degree weather, the yard was finished. It's beautiful, thanks to Juan Reyes and his crew.

We used Reyes Tree Service back in March to remove two huge maple trees. We were so pleased with the service that we requested an estimate on removing the other trees on our front yard. We called Juan on a Monday of the week and made arrangements for he and his team to come on Thursday at 7:45am (to beat the heat) to do the job. They arrived promptly and had the whole job completed and cleaned up by 11:00am. They were professional and very systematic in their approach. I can't tell you how impressed I am with them and I would definitely use them again. We're thinking of getting rid of the Cyprus trees in our back yard so that may be next! I highly recommend them.

Mr. Reyes came by and provided his bid, which was competitive. It got even better with the discount for obtaining him through Angies List. I selected him two days later and we set a date for the job. He and his crew showed up on time, removed both trees as well as the stumps and cleaned up well. It went smoothly and I am very satisfied. He did what he said he would and in the timeframe he said it would take.
