Reyes Tree Service & Gardening

I obtained a few bids to trim down my front hedge and to remove 2 queen palms and 1 king palm. Reyes tree service came in high for the bid to trim the hedge but was the lowest to remove the palms. Juan ended up matching the bid to cut the front hedge and I gave him the job. Juan did a great job cutting down trees, trimming the hedge and leaving the place clean after the job. The palms were close to the house and Juan did a great job protect the windows and surrounding areas. Juan also did a job for my brother and he removed 2 queen palms and a bunch of smaller palms. He also did a great job over there. The guys broke a sprinkler pipe while removing the trees and he came back over to fix it a few days later. Juan Reyes did a great job and I would recommend his work..

I called Reyes Tree Service and was pleasantly surprised to get Mr. Reyes on the phone. We discussed the job and arranged an appointment a few days later for him to prepare an estimate. This was scheduled based on my availability and when he was planning to be in my part of LA. He told me that he might be late, since he was going to swing by during another job. That happened, but he kept me informed. We looked over the job and he spent a few minutes walking around on his own before giving me the estimate. The price was about what I expected; I'm sure you can find cheaper but I chose Reyes because of the fantastic reviews and professionalism, and you don't get that when you go cheap. We arranged the day for the actual work, about a five days after the estimate. He said he would bring four guys to do the job. I wasn't there when the work was done, but when I returned, I found all the work to be done as we discussed, and done in a clean and beautiful way. The bushes I asked to be cut (for seasonal growth) were nicely shaped. Even though they took out half a dumpster of greenery, there wasn't a single twig or leaf left behind on the ground. Mr. Reyes called a few days later to check on my satisfaction. I'm glad I found this company on Angie's List--it was a job well done.

It was Done as I instructed without problems. I had them run the trimmings through the chipper and dump them at the site where the removed tree had been. My neighbors and I are using it as mulch. I left before the work was completed and returned to find it as I had requested. I call mr.Reyes and he came over and picked up the check.

The project is complete! I am happy with everything ....Juan did a great job the plants are lovely.

Overall, the job went very well. I was thrilled to get those stumps out of the yard, they were a pain in the butt to look at. Some of the stumps were huge... and difficult to remove. The crew showed up on time and completed the work as promised. Mr. Reyes walked around most of the time and supervised the crew to make sure they were working to their max potential, he even performed some of the work himself. I would definitely hire him again and will very shortly.

.They all showed up on time and did exactly what Juan said they would do. What sold me on his bid is that is was about 20% less than others and he was the only one that said that he would be there about 80% of the time. His crew was detailed and meticulous with the detail of an artist on each and every tree. Juan was there almost the whole time as he said. I told him all my concerns and he relayed them to his guys. I marked off the height of the hedge as I said I would and they followed exactly. All was done by 3:00 and cleaned up till 3:30 with rakes, blowers, and made it look like my gardner just left. Juan was cordial, professional and oversaw his crew's work. It turned out to be a huge job and the finished product more than exceeded our expectations. The bushes and junipers were shaped exactly as we had hoped they would be. They had to enter the neighbor's yard quite a bit and were respectful of their property and left no mess. They worked very hard and cleaned up meticulously. I cannot imagine anyone doing a better job and we have nothing negative to say about this company. We would definitely use them again and hope to have them back semiannually to keep the yard in shape.

Excellent job at a fair price. The tree was very artfully trimmed and cleaned by a professional crew with industrial equipment. Juan was very conscientious in that he moved the schedule up one day in order to avoid predicted rain on the scheduled day. It looks beautiful.

Juan and his crew did a great job! He was professional, on time and left everything very clean. He repaired some broken sprinklers, removed one tree and trimmed a tall palm tree and another tree. I am very happy with the work and will certainly call him next time I need tree work or landscaping!

After an accidentaly missed appointment for an estimate, Juan was so concerned with his rating on Angie's list that I gave him that he came to my house & offered me a really great deal on a tree removal. I took him up on his offer and his guys came out and did a beautiful job. Way to go Juan! I wish everybody cared about their company's reputation the way that Juan does. Excellent job! I had gotten a couple of other estimates, but decided on Juan's services. He was personable, accommodating and knew what I wanted to complete this job. I had 2 huge Ficus trees, and 3 other large trees that needed to be removed. I wanted to make sure that the stumps and roots were really removed as deep as possible to not tear up my concrete patio and retaining wall. Only a few days lapsed between estimate and removal. He and his crew of 5 showed up and got to work. 3 hours later, everything was gone, clean up was immaculate and he even removed another small bush without charging me, trimmed up all the side trees as well. My neighbors are happy too. What a difference it has made in the appearance of my back yard. I am really pleased and would recommend him to anyone looking for tree removal services.

Mr Reyes gave me an estimate the week before, he arrived a little later than scheduled, but he did call to let me know. Had a big crew, who all seemed to know exactly what to do and went to it without delay. They were quick and thorough, and cleaned up completely. Have had many so called gardeners, but this was the way it is supposed to be!

After calling the vendor twice, he agreed to show up and give an estimate. He did show up on the weekend and stated that he needed some equipment before he could give an estimate and that he would call back. Never heard from him again. I was left witht he impression that the job was not large enough to consider

I contacted Reyes Tree Service after finding them here on Angie's. Juan, crew leader, came and gave me a very reasonable estimate and was so at ease with him and able to be confident in the trust I was giving to Juan. I was unable to be present for the work; however, I felt safe and confident enough to leave the signed check taped to the back glass door. When I got home later that day I returned to find the job done. One large tree was removed, as well as three intermediate size trees trimmed. And everything was hauled away. I have no trouble recommending Reyes Tree Service to anyone in need tree or garden service. Thanks Juan

An absolutely incredible job that exceeded my expectations in all areas. Juan was thorough, prompt and the job went incredibly fast. His prices are very fair, he delivers quality work and is very knowledgable in his trade. I had given him a picture of what I wanted the yard to look like and it came out even better! I could not be happier with the outcome and will be using Juan's service for regular gardening and all future tree services.

They arrived on time, performed exactly what we asked - offered excellent suggestions and followed up when needed.

Juan was very courteous and followed up with me several times after giving me the estimate. He was very professional but I did not end up using his services only because I received a much lower estimate with another company.

The guy showed up to give the estimate and was right on time. He was able to come and do work quickly and they left the yard cleaner then it was when they got there. I would highly recommend them.

The crew arrived about a half hour later than they said they would. I was very pleased with the job they did on the trimming and the cleanup. The boss, Juan Reyes, had to leave at the start of the job.so I ended up paying the person he left in charge with a check. I wanted a receipt for the payment but Juan was gone. I called Juan a few days later and asked him for a receipt. He said he would either mail it or deliver it to me. I still have not received my receipt. I guess I should call him again and ask for the receipt. Make sure you get all paperwork before you hand over the money.

I have used Juan for 3 different services all with excellent results. In August, Juan removed 2 liquid amber which were uprooting the concrete near my house and grinded down the stumps. He also removed and grinded the stump of 1 acacia which was too close to the home's foundation. Once he was done there was little evidence the trees had ever been there. I wasn't home at the time but was able to check his work and send him a check afterwards. The second job was in October and was a large job involving height reduction of ficus hedge and eugenia hedge. The latter was overgrown and about 8 feet of the eugenias were removed. It was an unseasonably hot day in October. His crew worked tirelessly carrying the cut down hedges from backyard to front and shredding them. I also had Juan trim the rest of the trees in the yard including citrus, guava, grapefruit, and crape myrtle. He brought his entire crew to work on the job including his son. His crew was unable to trim and crown my large xylosma hedge due to swarming bees that day. They also forgot to cut my japanese maple but Juan promised he would do this in December when the weather cooled down. The third job was completed yesterday 12/14. Juan extensively trimmed and crowned the large xyloma hedge and trimmed the japanese maple tree as he promised. Juan is responsive and easy to work with. His prices are very competitive. He also communicates via email which is real perk.

I had called Juan to trim my overgrown tree and bugenvilia that reached the roof of my townhouse. Juan was not able to be here himself, but his guys did outstanding job. They cleaned trimmed the tree without killing it, made all other bushes look fantastic, all and took care of all left over benches. Oscar, one of the workers suggested improvements to my little patio, and i am calling Juan to implement them. I am very happy and satisfied and will use them in a heart beat.

I have a slope in my backyard that was in pretty bad shape. The ground cover had died, it was ugly and I was worried about erosion with the rainy season upon us. Reyes Tree Service cleared the whole area, installed 5 wood beam "steps" to prevent erosion, and planted a beautiful variety of plants. I used Reyes before for replacing sod in my front lawn and was happy with their work, so I was glad they were available to also do this job. Mr Reyes is knowlegable, honest and trustworthy. The wooden steps were his recommendation - I would not have thought of that - and it turned out great. His crew is very capable, efficient and they always leave the area clean. If you want quality work, from a licensed professional, you can't go wrong with Reyes Tree Service. I got other bids, some lower in price but from unlicensed people that I felt were too risky. And among the licensed group, Reyes Tree Service quotes are very reasonable. I will use them again for my next project - patio hardscape next Spring.

Mr. Reyes came to give me an estimate. He was prompt, friendly, and professional. At the end of the week, he called to tell me when his crew would be able to do the job. He told me they would arrive between 8 and 9 AM. I heard the saw's motor at 8:45. The work was done faster than I expected, by about 12:30. There was a huge mess, which was totally cleaned up when I got home from an appointment later that afternoon; in fact, the yard was cleaner than it had been before they arrived. One little mishap was that a window was broken. Mr. Reyes told me that he would have it repaired.

It was a great experience. Juan responded quickly after my initial call and we set a time for an estimate with in a day. He arrived promptly and walked the property with me taking note of everything I was thinking of doing and providing helpful suggestions on my ideas. He sent me an estimate in a very timely fashion and then we set a time for the work to be done. His crew showed up on time and got to work right away. They were really professional and nice and the work was done in less time that I thought it would take. They cleaned up all of the errant brush bits and left my yard in excellent shape. Could not be happier.

Wow! I called six companies to get an estimate for this work. Mr Reyes was the only one that promptly returned my call, showed up at exactly the time he said he would, then sent me a comprehensive estimate. Truly professional! Work commenced when he promised, and he and his crew worked very hard to turn my yard into a showplace before the holidays. His crew was top notch - courteous and professional, very high quality work. Mr Reyes kept me informed every step of the way. Absolutely went the extra mile to make me happy. I am so pleased with the job they did for me. I heartily recommend this company.
