Reyes Tree Service & Gardening

Mr. Reyes and 5-crew members arrived at 7.30 a.m., as promised. Promptly started working. 2-crew members started on the Cypress trees and the other members worked on the Ash tree. It was such a HOT day, so we provided cold sodas and bottled waters throughout the day. (They had their own drinks, but we were so HAPPY with the progress, we wanted to make sure they were hydrated). The crew worked HARD! As the branches came down, another person would move the branch over to the "chipper' machine. The person climbing the Ash tree and cutting down the branches was an AMAZING worker! VERY methodical and cautious! They finished around 3 p.m. and cleaned up ALL the area!! We were VERY pleased!

Every aspect of the transaction was top notch. Juan is great to do business with and all the men working on the project were skilled and professional. Highly recommend and will use Reyes Tree Trimming in the future!

Estimate for bi-weekly backyard work was way too high compared to others. More than double the price. Juan seemed like a real nice guy, though.

they did a good job it's a little pricey for liking but the job was done well. They did had everything looking good and even cleaned up for themselves which I was waiting to see if they did without me having to say anything. For this they deserve an A Grade from me.

We had a very pleasant experience with Juan and his workers. Juan was attentive to what needed to be done during the walk through, his men were courteous and hard working. The work was done to expectations and beyond! Coupla small things--we assumed the work would be done in a day (our mistake), someone should have just let us know it might go into a second or third day. Also, a large pile of branches were left on the street in front of the garage overnight without notice...turns out we didn't need to get out but better for someone to let us know this was happening so we could move the car out and also let the neighbors in the cul du sac know what was happening. Overall, the work was top notch, we're very happy and would definitely recommend!

They did a great job with the trees and with the sprinkler system my husband usually handles the yard but he's been busy so we called these guys up and they did wonderful. My husband should continue with the yard work but if can't find time then we'll probably call these guys again.

They did pretty good overall they were nice and the job they provided was decent didn't quite pick everything up maybe they missed it. And the price was a little high for my liking but they weren't too bad the yard looks a lot better than it did before so were content with the job provided. I'll probably give them another chance for them to provide us an excellent service.

It went well once they came. Juan is very busy and it takes a long time to schedule the work. It takes several calls to get a response.

I've never met someone as dedicated to making your house look as good as it possibly can than Juan Reyes. He took our rough ideas for what we wanted done in the yard and came up with a beautiful design including flagstone, decomposed granite, Mexican pebbles and other materials that perfectly complemented the drought tolerant plants we chose together at a wonderful trip to a local nursery. Juan was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the job, and never tried to upsell us by coming up with other things that needed to be done. Everything that was added to our job came directly from us, and Juan did everything he could to do the additional work and keep everything on schedule. We were one week away from having Turf Terminators do our yard, and we have never been so happy with a decision as we are about choosing Reyes Tree Service instead. Despite having to pay first before receiving the DWP rebates, there is no part of the experience or final product that Turf Terminators could have come anywhere close to matching. Juan and his guys have also kept an eye on our yard since the initial job, making sure the plants are thriving and the drip lines are perfectly tuned. If you need any landscape or tree service done at your house, you'd be hard pressed to find a better company than Reyes Tree Service.

It went flawlessly!! All the work was performed per the estimate and to my specifications. The work was done on time and the yard looked better than when his crew left. By that mean, they did an exceptional clean-up and I don't recall picking up one cut branch or leaf. It was that GOOD! Highly recommend Juan and his crew. I am going to hire him to do our drought irrigation for the front yard. I will keep using Juan's Tree Service and Gardening until he is no longer in business! A great experience!

This was my first Angie's List experience. The owner was very professional and courteous, but in retrospect I think I may have been overcharged for clearance of such a small area. I didn't know how much such a job normally costs, so I didn't question the owner's estimate; I just paid it. The crew did a very good job, and the plants they pruned are now flourishing. However, they were so loud that they disturbed my neighbors. And their truck leaked oil, which my neighbors had a fit over, so I had to have it removed from our townhouse complex's common driveway. Although this company is skilled at their profession, I would not hire them again. I would solicit estimates from several companies and pay attention to reviews on how well they cleaned up after themselves and how noisy they were.

Juan and his crew were very professional, courteous, friendly and efficient . The work was completed quickly and the palm now looks great. They even went above and beyond by cleaning up other dead branches on our property.

Mr. Reyes came to the house to look at the trees we wanted trimmed. He stuck to only what we requested and did not try to pump up the job in any way. He came across as very knowledgeable and honest. He gave us a written estimate and he was able to get his crew here the same day we called to set up a work date. They came out and took a good look around, made sure they understood what we wanted and got to work. The four guys split up the work and they all worked with the same high standards. The palms were done in about 20 minutes, the smaller trees in the backyard just as fast and the big front tree took about 25. There was absolutely no debris after they left. They made sure they raked, swept and blew any leaves, branches or twigs down as a result of their work. They had a wood chipper with them so everything was done quickly and efficiently. Don't even look any further if you need work done. This is a first class operation.

This review may be a little bit different than others, but I think it will illustrate Juan's professionalism, honesty and sense of responsibility. It is easy to justify one's worth when things go well, but it is when things go bad that one's true character surfaces. Juan's men did excellent work. They were punctual, professional, fast and clean. Unfortunately, an accident occurred. One piece of wood fell from the highest point of the tree and hit my neighbor's electric panel, destroying the whole thing. A sharp shooter could not have made a better hit. Very unlucky. Problem was, now my neighbor was without power and it was getting dark. Juan immediately took responsibility. Called out an electrician, who worked until 11PM and replaced the entire panel. It was otherwise unrepairable. He even brought out a general contractor to repair a wooden box that had partially covered the old panel. As our misfortune would have it, DWP has not reconnected the meter, because, as I learned, a new panel needs to be permitted. So now we are stuck with a whole lot of formalities and red tape until the meter is re-attached. (In the meantime, they are getting free power). It is a pain in the rear. Juan has been very responsive. He has paid for everything. The ordeal is unfortunately still not over. I have not paid Juan anything, nor has he asked for it. The job has turned out into a bad story, but it really was just a really unlucky coincidence, that could happen to anybody. If I was with a lesser company, this would have become a real nightmare. Because Juan has shown to be honest, responsible and professional, and because the job was actually very well done, he totally deserves a resounding "A", and I will definitely use him again.

Estimate. Prompt. Extensive tree trimming done artistically, and safely. Clean up each day was meticulous! Thank you Juan!

Overall the work was great. Had an issue with a broken sprinkler where they assured me they would return the next day to fix. It took several follow up calls and an initial negative review to get them to return to fix it. Juan was very apologetic and the sprinkler is fixed. They did a great job for a reasonable price, so I would hire them again.

Once the crew arrived they got right to work. Tree climber was amazing. The large tree was situated in the corner of the lot overhanging over a two story house, patio cover and two fences. They did an amazing job of tying off each branch and pulling them away from the house as they fell so that there was no damage to anything. The worked for about 7 hours. Cleaned up everything very well. Nice pleasant crew. Would use them again.

The crew arrived on time and was ready to go. They trimmed several trees and cleared brush, dead tree, etc. on our 1-acre property. They completely cleaned up when they were finished at the end of the day.

Excellent response and attentiveness to my specifications. Crew was courteous and hardworking. Foreman of the crew, a perfectionist. Only one oversight in cleanup. Price was excellent for work performed. I have used another company in the past who always charged more than twice the price. Will definitely hire again in the future.

In my 25 years of home ownership, I have never seen a better tree-trimming service. They did an A+ job. Moreover, when was the last time that you saw an owner of a company jump in and start actually working ... I did! I can see now why Juan has over 300 reviews on Angie's List. Use Juan and his crew and watch your trees come alive!

The canary palm is close to four stories and not accessible by cherry-picker trucks. No doubt a challenging job, the project was turned down by a couple companies, until I found Reyes Tree Service. They did an outstanding job. The tree has never looked better. There was quite a lot of debris and palm fronds to remove. They took care to prevent damage, putting up plywood shields in front of windows, and removing light fixtures. They provided me with copies of their Workman's Comp & Liability policies. Very professional.

It was a professional job from beginning to end

Juan is a perfect example of a tree service professional. He is very responsive to answering emails and phone calls. He is knowledgable and very friendly. During our pre conference, we talked about the different options of the service and he was very courteous about meeting our budgetary needs. Furthermore, he is just simply a good person to deal with. He has good moral ideas and won't stray you into any direction for his business benefits. If you are looking for any tree trimming or landscaper professional, look no further.

Everything went smoothly and I am very satisfied. I sent Juan pictures of the two trees to be pruned and also what they looked like after they were pruned three years ago. He offered some suggestions on how they should have been pruned. Angelica, who was our contact in their office, was very helpful in providing information, scheduling an appointment and following up. Oscar, the lead man, along with his two helpers showed up on time, as scheduled, and were very efficient in the pruning operation and cleanup. After the first tree was pruned, he asked us to view the tree and to see if it was acceptable. He then pruned the second tree. Also, they put two 4 x 8 plywood sheets against the bay window to prevent any damage from the falling limbs. Based on my four quotes, Reyes Tree Service was extremely competitive and became even more competitive after their 10% Senior Discount. I would definitely use them again.
