+ -1 moreI wanted to give them a huge A+. I called them up. They came that day to let me know what the problem was. They had put in a brand new air conditioner and heating unit. They were the best ever. If anybody ever wants thinking about having air conditioner or anything like that, I would definitely call them. They took the old one out. They did a lot of work and they did an excellent job. I would absolutely use them in the future. I got the long term care with them for the air conditioner. Everything is an A. I like their promptness. They answer when you call. Somebody in the office answers the phone. You don't have to leave messages. They answer any questions you have. They were here in no time. It was done within a week.

+ -1 moreThey are excellent. About eight or ten years ago, we had put in another one at first with a terrible company or maybe just a contractor that dealt with the cheapest bad thing. They were terrific after having an awful system put in that didn't cool. I like them a lot. They are not the cheapest but they are very good. All their workers are honest and good. They have been thorough. I've been using them for about ten years. You can always count on them. Whoever they sent they were good and excellent.
Description of Work: I have them on regular maintenance twice a year. They service two heating and air units upstairs and a guest house that they also do.

+ -1 moreIt was okay, they came out and did a good job. When they came back with a quote of things that needed to be repaired, not everything was on the list. They said that I needed coolant put in, and I bought a filter, so I paid another $150 over the Angie's List deal. The person who came over was great, he was nice, professional, and he was on time. The service itself was good, but they mentioned a bunch of things that needed to be repaired but I didn't get a quote for it. He was a nice guy and he did a good job.
Description of Work: He inspected everything, he took apart the unit outside,and he made an assessment of everything, and gave me a list of things to be repaired or done. He had mentioned a bunch of things, and I got a quote from them, but it had only one thing on it that he had mentioned.

They stand by what they say, Mike Carson the owner backs up all his products and gives you individualized products if you like it. Their price is fine, you get what you pay for. They are very responsive. They come right on time. They are very responsive and professional. They change their boots when getting to work. They are top notch.

+ -1 moreThe service from Kahn Air Conditioning Inc is always good. They are excellent. All of their people are good. They put in a HVAC system when we bought the house in 2002 or 2003. We put in an air conditioning system and it was horrible. I had Khan replace it and it was excellent. We had the other one for just a few years, it was just awful. They did a good job. They do the service twice a year. They are not real cheap but they are excellent, every single guy is good. The last service was about 500. The cost for replacing it was about 24 grand. We did put in 2 condensers and a heat pump. As we just had it done a few years before, they redid all the vents in the ceiling. It is excellent, really, really good. If you were in Vegas, you would expect it to be like that. It is as good as the air conditioning in very high places. You can't say that about too many people. I would definitely give them an 'A'.
Description of Work: The last service from them was maybe a month ago. I had them put in a fan on the attic stand too.

+ -1 moreI have been with them for over 25 years. I wouldn’t exchange them with no one. They’re the best one I could find. It’s working. I have to get use to it because it was a little different but I’m sure that would be okay. The price is a little higher but the guarantee and everything else are very well covered too. They’re very good. I would use them again. I have a contract that they’ll take care of the unit for many years.

+ -1 moreI am happy to report that I was contacted by Kahn and the issue was resolved promptly. I do believe that they are a professional and reputable HVAC company that will provide a fair estimate and provide a quality product and complete the job in a timely manner.
Description of Work: I had received quotes for a brand new air conditioner from a few reputable companies and I choose to go with Kahn based on the knowledge and professionalism of the sales team that came to my home for the estimate. The estimate came with several options and several rebates available from the manufacturer and from energy star. I chose a unit that came with a significant rebate of which I was told that they take care of and submit all the paperwork. After I received another rebate for a different appliance in less than a month I made a phone call to Kahn and asked about the rebate. I was told I would get a call back of which I did not receive. Called again two weeks later, told the same thing, and again no call back. I was out of town for 8 weeks and when I returned there was an envelope from Kahn so I thought it was regarding the rebate. It was not. It was a contract for yearly maintenance service which would cost me another few hundred dollars. I called back again, explained I had called twice before and never received a call back and was assured he would tell the supervisor personally that I was upset on not getting called back twice before and my call would be returned that afternoon. Well, again no returned phone call!! They are very good at returning phone calls to make a sale but there is absolutely zero follow up. It is so unfortunate a company would choose to operate this way. All it would have taken is a pone call returned to explain what was going on but since they chose to avoid the situation I can only assume they used some sort of false tactic to make a sale. Very disappointed that a company with a good name would choose to conduct business this way.

They always do a good job. I have not complaints about them at all. They are always responsive. Their prices seem fair. They have taken really good care of us and my folks as well.

+ -1 moreFor many years Kahn took care of the air conditioning system in our California house. Would certainly recommend them to anyone. We chose them to use mainly because they were in our area. The guys who came out seemed to know what they were doing. They understood English and spoke English very well. The reason we had them out often was because we were on a plan with them where the would come out in the summer and the winter to make sure either the air conditioning or heating was working fine. We never called them for a problem, because there never was a problem. I would say we used them a good 15 years. My husband had no complaints about the cost. It was not outrageous compared to what other people were charging. If there was any debris they always cleaned up because it looked like nobody was ever there.They always called before they came out to remind me it was time for our seasonal check up and was I available on a certain day. They were always on time.
Description of Work: They came out at the change of season to change filters. The last time we used them they were getting our system ready for winter.

+ -1 moresplendidly, as is always the case w/ Kahn. We've been using them for 30 years, and have never had an issue or problem. The office staff and the field technicians are unfailingly polite and professional. This latest service had the first (minor) glitch in all the years we've been using Kahn - the part to be installed was the wrong size, and the field technician had to go back and pick up the correct size, which added about 90 minutes to the service call. Other than that, however, all the work was done just fine. Jose even spent an extra few minutes to make sure our attic access panel was re-positioned correctly, and then wiped it down to remove smidges and fingerprints!
Description of Work: installed secondary drip pan/emergency shut-off switch for attic a/c condenser as now required by building codes

+ -1 moreSalesman John called to confirm appointment for estimate. Showed up on time and discussed options. He needed a couple days to work up proposal. Came out again to present the costs and options. Bid was in-line with others I received, but I decided to choose another vendor/manufacturer. I had been open with the salesman and e-mailed him giving him the courtesy notification that I selected another vendor. He wanted some feedback and asked what equipment I had selected. I provided that information to him in an e-mail reply. I was shocked to receive his e-mail response that the equipment I selected was essentially crap and he could have sold me a basic Payne system "that would have been better then that" and signed off with a sarcastic "Good luck!" I e-mailed back stating I did not appreciate his response and that his action confirmed I selected the correct vendor.

We have a very difficult work space and really appreciated that they never complain just work around it. We strongly recommend them. PS: they are very neat and clean up any mess!!
