The manufacturer agreed to replace the unit but said it could not be shipped to me, that our plumber would have to pick it up from the wholesaler to install it. The next morning I called Dream Team, to be told that Tracy, who apparently is the only one who can schedule plumbing appointments for the company, was not in. The person on the phone said, "She said she might be in by noon, but I don't know for sure if she's coming in today." Since we were having other remodeling work done, we needed hot water; so I called our regular plumber, who agreed to get the unit that afternoon and install it early the next morning. At 1:20 I got a call from Tracy and told her that, since we needed hot water, we had called another plumber to do the work. Later that day I got a call from Old Republic saying that Tracy had called them to say that I had "refused warranty service." I had not. I had refused to use Dream Team to pick up and replace the unit at an additional fee, not trusting any company whose scheduler might or might not be in the office when we needed plumbing work. That was the first lie by the Dream Team. When I explained the situation to the Old Republic agent he told me that Old Republic would have covered the cost of reinstallation as part of our $60 fee, that the technician had lied when he said that there would be a second charge. The Old Republic agent said to let them know our plumber's charge, and they would reimburse us. He added that he would be calling Dream Team to "make sure they understand the warranty service agreement." I had already explained to him that, if someone wants my business, with so many good companies on Angie's List, their scheduler will have to get out of bed before 1:20 in the afternoon and I would rather not be lied to.
Description of Work: Old Republic home warranty company assigned Dream Team Construction to repair the pilot light igniter on our water heater. The technician was unable to do so because a wire had come loose inside the burner element, requiring a new one which was under warranty from the manufacturer. At that time the technician said that, when we had received the unit, they would return to install it, for a second fee.

This was a home warranty service. The Dream Team office called promptly to set up the appointment. Ryan called in advance of the time window to confirm time and address, then went to great lenths to overcome the previous improper installation and fix the leak, having to go to the hardware store because the dran was an odd size. He was personable and competent and a relief from some of the whackos our previous home warrantly company foisted onto us.
Description of Work: Leak under a bathroom vanity required more than just replacement of parts due to improper installation by plumbers years ago.
