Tuesday morning I scheduled an appointment to have my toilet fixed. I was told it would happen late in the day (Tuesday). That was fine. We sat around until 7pm and no one ever showed up and no one from Burwell even bothered to call us to let us know they weren't coming or to reschedule the service. So Wednesday I called a different plumber who came out within a couple of hours and fixed the toilet. But then, that same Wednesday evening at 6pm (!), a man from Burwell Plumbing comes knocking on the door to fix the toilet. No one from Burwell had ever called to reschedule or apologize on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Naturally, we did not expect anyone to show up on Wednesday, and certainly not after 5pm on Wednesday. He was surprised we no longer needed their services. He just said they were busy and got behind. How hard is it to call and let someone know that one is late or needs to reschedule? Is our time worth nothing to them? What hurts is that we had been using Burwell since before the Northridge Earthquake, many times, many dollars spent (I still have most of those old receipts). It's like they give little value to customer loyalty. Too bad.
Description of Work: Was supposed to fix the toilet but never showed up. Never called to let me know he couldn't make it or to reschedule.

I have used them for many years. However, this time I was very disappointed. The young man they sent out stunk of a horrible body odor at nine o'clock in the morning. Then he argued with me non stop about whether or not I put food down in my dishwasher. Then he argued with me about the need to replace the line. I felt it was old and had a bad odor since food from the sink was getting stuck down there. He did not want to replace it. Even though he had been the one to replace it in the past. It was sad because this company has been around over 20 years, but the owner is retired and I believe unaware of this staff person's behavior and rudeness.
Description of Work: I had them install a new faucet and replace the line that runs between the sink and the dishwasher.

I had work performed by Burwell to repair a running toilet. The toilet was not repaired sufficiently and within a few months the toilet began to "run" again. I paid full price for the second repair. The toilet began to leak again. I called a third time and Burwell set an afternoon appt. They called later saying they had been at my doorstep but no one was home. They then refused to repair my toilet. They insisted they called twice on two numbers to alert me they were at my door. This was untrue. $200 later, toilet still not repaired.

BURWELL PLUMBING DID A FINE JOB ON MY OLD PLUMBING. THEY MADE THE APPOINTMENT PROMPTLY AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE IN WRITING. I WOULD CALL THEM FOR ALL MY FUTURE PLUMBING ISSUES.
Description of Work: I CALLED BURWELL PLUMBING TO COME OUT AND CLEAN THE SEWER LINE FROM MY HOUSE TO THE STREET.
