I have to give Vartan and his crew an overall "A" for quality of work and competitive pricing. The finished work has been excellent on every job and he followed up on any issue or question we had. This review follows the latest job we did with him, which was a steel frame, wood covered wide gate for a parking space on the side of our house - price $2150. However, Vartan can be frustrating to work with at times because he can be unresponsive to calls and his scheduling is not always accurate, ie. he and his crew don't always show up on the date and time they say. If you have a little patience though, you get top quality work at the lowest quoted prices I received on any job I hired him for.

last september i moved to a new house in tarzana, our back yard is very nice but the brick wall around it was very low and did not provide us with much privacy. we decided to raise up the hight of the walls around the back yard with some vinyl fencing and called few companies for estimates. Joe from quality vinyl came over and gave us a very reasonable price for the 2' privacy fence to the brick wall and additional price for 3 new gates around the property. The job was done on the next week and we were very hapy with the results. The guys who came to do the installation were very nice and very professional as well, very clean and prompt.

Overall the installation of my fence went well. I initially set up an appointment with Vartan to discuss the job and product choices, he was professional, friendly and punctual. When I decided to go with this company I paid him the downpayment and set up a date and time to start the job. On the start date the man who came to work on the fence was 5 hours late and did not speak any English. He kept trying to tell me where I wanted my fence would be impossible. It was very frustrating to try to communicate with him as I had already worked out all the details with Vartan - or so I thought. I immediately called Vartan to translate and fix the problem, he helped, but he man at my house kept having small issues that we would have to agonize over due to our limited ability to communicate. He was a very friendly guy, but the whole situation made me quite nervous as a homeowner, because I had no idea what he was inferring from our conversations. Once the job got going, things seemed fine and the job took twice as long to complete - but that is okay because the finished job looks very nice. They did remove the majority of my fencing but left one small corner, that was to be removed along with the rest of the fence. I have called Vartan 3 times about this remaining portion of the fence and have never received a call back. He was prompt to return my calls before the job started, but not now. So I have this shabby looking portion of fence still on my property, which I technically paid to have removed. I am happy with there services overall, but am upset about the fence that was not removed and their inability to call me back.

I wanted a particular product called Bufftech. When I called them I asked them if they could get Bufftech instead of their own product. They said they could get it and set up an appointment. They came out and took measurements but they never brought the product, nor did they come back. After a week I called them and they said they were unsure if they could get Bufftech and they would call back. They never did call back.

Quality Vinyl was the third bid and was $800 below the next competitor. Gave them a $200 deposit and was told a bid for the hand railing was forthcoming. Phone calls were not returned from the salesman and I finally called the office. Was told the salesman's relative(s) had died and some one else would handle the effort.Was going out of town in 5 weeks and was assured the the materials were ordered and installation would be in a couple of weeks. After no less than 10 phone calls in which the order was lost and the railing bid would be done next week, next, next week. You get the idea.Finally set up for June 11th, as we would be returning to town on the 7th.They did the work on June 4th without the bid for the rail while we were out of town.The workmanship was poor, sloppy and 4 out of the 7 posts wobble, there were supposed to be10 posts similiar to the previous fence, where the old holes show. The rails are all loos and the cap on the retaining wall is cracked and has a 1/4" gap where they tried to repair it. They don't return ph one calls and I owe them about $1500 if they finished the work properly. Can'y get anyone to return calls.I now need to hire another contractor to redo their work!Stay away form these guys

Joseph again was AWESOME! This is the third time my family and I have used him and the service and the work was excellent! He built a beautiful Pergola and was very prompt, efficient, and the price was good for what we got. GREAT SERVICE ALL AROUND. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We're happy to report that, after over eight years, the fence is still in perfect condition, straight as an arrow, and the gate still latches perfectly. Nothing has shifted, even one inch! Excellent quality and installation at a fair price.

I was very happy with the quality of work they did. The salesman was very nice. It was the first time I'd used use them.

I don't know if I got a fair price because I didn't get any other estimates from other companies. When the man came to install the fence and gate, he came alone. This was a problem in two big ways: he barely spoke English and he could have used an assistant. There were several problems with the original design, so the man (never got his name) kept asking me (in very broken English and Armenian) how I wanted to have the job done. Since he was on his own, he also scraped up the vinyl pieces as he was unloading them from his van and building the fence/gate. I have to say that he was a great problem-solver, and worked tirelessly for about 8 hours! The fence/gate looks great, minus the scratches. However, I might not hire this company again, unless I knew there would be two people working on the project.

I got bids from half a dozen firms that were highly-rated. Vinyl Fence Depot was not the cheapest, but they reduced their price to the point that I couldn't help but deal with them, as they were extraordinarily professional. It is interesting to note that every company that was an Angie's list referral was very concerned about not making the slightest mistake that could impair their Angie's List rating. In effect, participation with Angie's LIst really put the "fear of god" in them. It proved the value of Angie's List, and the quality of work from the Vinyl Fence Depot (even for a wood fence).

First off, the product is very good but Joseph the owner was INCREDIBLE. He must have come out to my house 5 times because I was so wishy washy about vinyl vs wood, which color, which style, etc. He NEVER gave me a problem...his attitude was always "SURE, HAPPY TO DO IT" He is very knowledgeable, honest, easy to get in touch with and is an overall great guy. You can really trust him because he did everything as promised. Not only did he give us a great price but his service and installers were excellent. I am already planning on him coming to do more work. Also--and this is a big point--he is the ONLY person that came with TONS of pictures of his work on his laptop--probably over 500 projects--all beautiful. It was nice because it made getting an idea for his work very easy. I am pretty hard to please but Joseph and Quality Vinyl are our ONLY go to people for fencing like this. You will not be disappointed!

Joe was a very cordial and polite man to deal with. I called him and set up a day and time and he was right on. He explained what his guys would do and gave us the estimate. We decided to go with QVP because we liked the price and he was on Angie's List. His guys came to do the work when they were expected. They were very polite and very helpful when we asked questions, because our neighbors were concerned about their side, but when the workers explained what they would be doing our neighbor was much in agreement and he was happy. We only had one side of our home done because the wood fence was really in bad shape and because when the gates were opened, that side was exposed and it did not look good with the wood fence, especially after we had our driveway done. We really love the fence and it came out beautiful! I would hire QVP to do more work if I had it.

THEY WERE ATTENTIVE. IF ANYTHING WAS OFF THEY FIXED IT IMMEDIATELY. THEY GAVE US A DEAL WHEN WE ADDED MORE ITEM FOR THEM TO CREAT.

They did an excellent job, and we were very happy with it. The workmanship was great - eight years since the work was done, the fence is still as great as it can be. They were terrific professionally. The cost was exactly what the estimate was. We were 100% satisfied with them. We would rate them highly. We are planning on calling them for another job.

I got several estimates and visited their showroom twice. Their price was good and their available products and building capability looked good and their marks were good from prior customers on Angie's list. Once we made the deal, they showed up on time with a significant crew and worked diligently everyday until the project was completed. The salesman (I think it's a family business and the Saleman, Joe Stambulyan, is a family member) said the job would take one two days, but it took 5. We didn't mind because the work was careful and the progress was visible and substantial each day. Joe sometimes took a little long to get back to me when I had questions or needed something. Also, their clean up was very good, but not perfect. Overall, we are very, very satisfied. We feel we got at least our money's worth and our backyard is transformed for the better.

They were nice. They were good. They were very thorough and thorough in their presentations. They showed up when they said they would. They gave us examples of upgrades that were available. We have not had any problems. I liked the guy that came and did the estimates as well, and he was really good.

In general, I am pleased with the fence and the quality of the work. It was a bit of a logistical challenge to coordinate my fence, the neighbor's fence and the company, but we got it worked out. They were straight forward with their quote and my contact was helpful in regards to building code issues and the like. Only a few little things cause frustration. They project coordinator was to call me to let me know when we were going to start, but I wound up having to call them (of course, I could have been on the list to call that day), which caused a bit of a scramble to get everything ready since they wanted to start the next day. The other is that they hit my water main going into my house when installing the fence. They fixed it very well and it was not installed low enough to begin with (i.e. not to code), but it was still frustrating. All in all, your standard home improvement project. I will say the fencing product they use is beautiful and they designed a very nice gate that has a nice lock and looks great. I gave them a B for professionalism because I had to work very closely with the crew to make sure that the details (like putting the lock for the gate on the right side) were done properly.

They are top notch. They are prompt, efficient, courteous and clean. They are really wonderful. I would have no hesitation to use them.

They did a beautiful job. They were neat and nice. I strongly urge anybody who wants to have fences to go with vinyl.
